We picked up a half dozen cinnamon sugar apple cider donuts, and they were absolutely incredible. The kind of donuts that make you wish you'd bought another dozen before leaving. Easily the highlight of our stop! The fresh apple cider was just as impressive. It's honestly like drinking the best, freshest apple juice you've ever tasted. Such a naturally rich apple flavor that you really can't compare to anything from the grocery store. The orchard itself has that classic Wisconsin fall feeling, with pumpkins everywhere, beautiful trees, a little farm market, and fresh kettle corn being made outside. There were plenty of people enjoying the afternoon, and it was nice seeing a local business so busy. If you're looking for a great fall stop, I can't recommend Patterson Orchards enough. I'd come back for those donuts alone!

I see crates of commercial tomatos that come from the produce auction. I think they grow very little of their own produce anymore, maybe late corn and green beans. Just like farmers markets beware that a lot of these places are selling stuff at higher prices stating they are locally grown. When I see crates from produce that is purchased in bulk at auction, we'll if you think your being hosed, yeah you are. The super early corn at this place should be your sign. I drove over from off Lisbon ave and I saw no farmers market so I drove around the whole park and it's all the way in the back. I still almost missed it because it's very small. I had some fresh ribs and cabbage in the slow cooker and I wanted a nice fresh vegetable side to go with it, to my surprise I couldn't find anything because it was mostly flowers, greens, sweets, salsa and basically nothing veggie wise as a side dish, see my pictures. This was the most useless farmers market and all I left with was a pork egg roll that was very average.

You can fill that bag with many apples! You drive your car to the apple picking area. When done, you head to the checkout area where the area is blocked with another cone. After passing that area, there is another area to park if you want to go to their bakery truck and barn that has pre picked apples, honey and jams. The market was not that big but not as small as the one I passed on earlier that looked pathetic. This one was mostly vegetables with few fruits and flowers compared to the other farmers markets that I have been to. There was none of the soaps, honeys and specialty items either. There is very little prepared food with a Chinese place that had egg rolls and crab Rangoon while the other end had roasted corn and shaved ice, that's as good as it got. No food trucks or carts of any kind, there is plenty of people traffic to warrant one. My hot pepper hunt fell flat and a basket of jalapeños for $2 was as exotic as it got while lunch was one egg roll and one crab Rangoon for $2 so it was mostly a bust today on this trip. This Farmer marker ended up being mostly vegetables so if that's what you are looking for than your good.
