This is a very nice Meissen boutique in the heart of Berlin on Unter den Linden that exclusively…read moresells Meissen products. I came here looking for a nice gift. They have many exquisite items. They vast majority are over 100 Euros, and many are in the thousands range. There are various dishes and small statuary pieces. I found an exquisite small bell with gold trim and the Meissen logo, that can serve as a Christmas tree ornament (price: 90 EUR). The staff is very helpful and friendly. They gift wrapped my purchase and provided the paperwork for my tax rebate. I also visited the Meissen boutique in Leipzig on a different trip and actually found the selection in Leipzig better and a few more lower priced items there as well. This is a very good place if you want to get a genuine high quality German made product as a gift or as souvenir.

I handed him 10 postcards and said the german word for 10. He put them in an envelope and I handed him a 20 euro bill for the 4€ transaction to which he grunted and mumbled, and it seemed obvious he didn't want to make change for it. The only other cash I had was a 50, sorry dude, and most places weren't keen on a credit card for small purchases so I didn't even ask if visa was an option. He gave me a bill and a few coins back and I didn't even double check it before I walked away. I went around the corner to the pharmacy and went to by something else and realized he had shortchanged me a little over 10 euros. I guess he didn't have enough to make the change and just didn't bother to try telling me. He probably figured I was just a dumb tourist who wouldn't count my change right away and he was right! :( most expensive postcards ever.
