Lots of water around, the moat, the fish Ponds, the fountains. Lots of animals around, horses, ducks, etc. Ideal for a little weekend trip for the whole family. Families sometimes visit also the local horses from the neighbors.Vegetable gardens around, if you ask, sometimes they even sell you some of their fruits or vegetables the museum can easily compete with the famous Carnuntum and also offers a huge train and small Messerschmidts. I bet it's gorgeous in the summer with all the greenery, and colorful flower beds. It's perfect for a nice stroll or enjoying some quiet time away from the city's hustle. Loved the famous Johann Strauss monument and the small ponds with ducks. There are plenty of benches to sit and a nice playground if you have children.

Gorgeous foliage of the Gingko trees glow even in the overcast weather and were a perfect autumn show stopper. Strolling through this lovely park takes you back to simpler times when you actually see an occasional jogger and couples holding hands as they stoll amongst the trees and glorious sculptures. It is fun to stand on the bridge above the train rail way and watch the train come in and stop of the station. This park is huge and you could probably spend all day here.

My friend and I took a walk through Schlosspark Esterházy (Esterházy Castle Park) when we spent a…read moreday in Eisenstadt earlier this month. The park is the home of the castle itself (which we visited the following morning), but the park itself is worth a visit. There's a little lake, an orangerie, and a structure called Leopoldinentemple (Leopoldine Temple), which was beautiful. We wandered through the park for half an hour or so. It was beautiful and lovely, leisurely way to end our day in Eisenstadt (the capital of Burgenland).

There's a section where rose bushes are donated by people and it makes for a colorful pop along the walking path. We came on a rainy day but this would be a lovely spot to sit and spend more time when the weather is better.
