We were surprised to see how packed it was in the front patio dining. We were initially told no, we couldn't eat because we didn't have a reservation but then they said "unless sitting inside is ok?" Yes! They warned us the service might be slow but they wasn't the case. The food was outstanding. My husband had a gyro plate and I had a lamb shoulder. The bread was homemade and everything was just delicious. The outside patio is lovely but so is the inside. If you're in the vicinity, check this place out for excellent Greek fare!

We…read moreare staying at the Hotel Berggeist and after a long flight wanted to stay local - this restaurant is conveniently located in the hotel lobby. We are from the US and do make efforts to make requests in German however they kindly offered an English menu and spoke to us in English. Our waiter was very friendly and offered us 2 dessert shots to finish off our meal. We wanted to try local fair so My husband had the veal schnitzel and I had the seafood platter with a side of butter rice and potatoes with spinach. Our meals were flavorful and comparable priced to US restaurants (veal plate was US$17 and seafood US$18). Not cheap but not expensive for the type of meals we ordered. We'll definitely be back again during our visit in Penzberg.
