I have been a patient of Dr. Schiffman's for almost 25 years. He has taken care of me and my entire family. My husband, 6 children, both of my parents, my brother and his wife and 3 children, both of my sisters and their husbands and children, and my aunt. We all live an hour from his office and would never consider going any where else. When my son was 7 years old he was a constant bed wetter. He use to wet the bed 3 times a night. No medical doctor had any answer for me. I was told to make him hold it longer to stretch his bladder! That was not an option. I knew there was a problem, but had no idea what it was. We talked to Dr. Schiffman concerning this, and with changing his diet and coming in for regular adjustments every day for 3 months, he is NOT on any medications. I drive down all the way from Chicago to see Dr. Schiffman. He is hands down one of THE BEST + worth the drive. He also has affordable care plans. 3 years ago I was bed ridden & in excruciating pain and basically wanting to die. Insomnia, migraines, throwing up and shooting pains were my daily reality. I went to specialist after specialist and several chiropractors. The chiropractors gave temporary relief but could not solve the issue. The backs specialists wanted to cut me open to explore and give my expensive pain shots. No one could diagnose me. I had lost all hope and a lot of money. When I came to Schiffman I honestly expected nothing. It was my last resort - a friend encouraged me to go. I was in so much pain that I honestly wanted to die so I figures what do I have to lose? After a full set of x-rays and a scan he was able to diagnose the issue. This alone was a miracle to me. There was a twisted vertebrae in my lower back causing all the issue to both my upper and lower back. He said with consistent chiropractic at least 3 times a week I would be back to good. For the first time in a long time, I had hope. Within a matter of weeks my insomnia went away. This was unbelievable - to be able to sleep again! The migraines became less and less. There are only a handful of times in our lives when our paths cross with true greatness. For me, meeting Dr. Schiffman was one of those times. I am a professional musician that has dealt with repetetive motion injuries in the past, and recieved medical treatments for them. None of them had ever worked. In fact I recall one occasion when I recieved a cortizone shot at the age of 22 and nearly lost all ability to play as a result for following 3 weeks. My first visit to Dr. Schiffman was a moment of enlightenment. Within minutes he was able to pinpoint and explain exactly why I was having the problems I was having and was able to trace it all to one area of misalignement in my spine. Through the course of repetition, bi-weekly, then weekly treatments, I quickly began feeling the results of recovery. Today I am 10 times better than I was when I met Dr Schiffman, and I continue to see him regulary to ensure that proper alignment is maintained. Dr. Schiffman changed my life 7 years ago. I never understood what chiropractic was and if I had went to another chiropractor I probably still wouldn't know. His knowledge and approach to helping people through adjustments is truly life changing. He helped me get over chronic knee issues and also injuries I had from being runner and weight lifter. My wife experienced something on an entirely different level with care in his office. She had severe digestive issues and after thousands of dollars at medical doctors offices with no answers we didn't have much hope. Dr Schiffman gave us hope. My husband and I recently relocated to South Bend and have been thoroughly pleased with the entire Schiffman Clinic of Chiropractic. His staff is friendly and learns the names of all their clients and maintain a cheerful environment, I am 7 months pregnant with my first baby and started getting adjusted as early as 6 weeks. Dr. Schiffman is an excellent prenatal chiropractor and has helped me with all of the lower back pain that often comes with pregnancy. In fact my OB said he can notice that I've been under chiropractic care because of how much energy I have. I feel as though Dr. Schiffman takes his time with me and my husband to hear our concerns, answer our questions and develops a natural plan of health for me to follow in my pregnancy. I look forward to continuing my adjustments after the baby's birth and plan on introducing our baby to Dr. Schiffman! One of the reviews commented on the quickness of the procedure, didn't like it. If you want someone to spend tons of time with you, give you all sorts of extras like hot packs and massages, you might not like this office. I've been to lots of chiropractors in my life and Dr. Schiffman is the most effective, hands down. He deals with absolutely everything--not just "backaches" (as most people think that is the main job of a chiropractor.) My overall health is much improved in the 3 years I've seen him. Thyroid issues are going away. I had a shoulder issue that an MD wanted to operate on (it's totally fine now.) Energy is better.
