She's very quick to dismiss concerns and explain things away.

Unfortunately, my most recent visit made it clear that I need to change providers. Our appointment was scheduled for 8:30 a.m. We arrived on time, and after vitals were taken, we were told to wait for the doctor. We waited over an hour before Dr. Blair came in around 9:30. When she arrived, she was extremely rushed, did not listen carefully, and did not give my concerns the attention they deserved. The appointment was for two of my children. Before I could fully discuss my concerns for my first child, the doctor closed the chart and moved on to the second child. When I tried to bring up an additional concern for my first child--something I had scheduled the appointment for--I was told it could not be addressed and that I should use telehealth instead. I was also told she needed to leave because another patient was waiting. I understand doctors are busy, but when an appointment is scheduled, parents should feel heard--especially when it comes to children's health. The experience felt rushed and transactional, not caring or patient-centered. It was clear that multiple patients were scheduled at the same time, which affected the quality of care. This was a very disappointing and stressful experience, and it ultimately led me to decide to change pediatricians. I hope the practice considers scheduling changes and communication improvements so families feel respected and cared for.

We first saw the Nurse Practitioner there yesterday and she was horrid. She wanted to send us to the emergency room before even really examining our 11 month old based on her seeming "lanquid"-she was asleep in my arms. She missed an ear infection and, despite thinking she may have a urinary tract infection, wanted us to go to the emergency room so they could catheterize our infant and they could potentially perform a lumbar punch. This is a horrible overreaction that would have greatly increased the distress and pain of our child. We were able to bag some urine with the nurse's help, see that it was a UTI and see a doctor there after complaining at the front desk. The doctor we saw, Dr. Fiona Blair, was wonderful, very professional and was able to diagnose the issues behind the prolonged fever of our 11 month old including an ear infection the NP did not see. The nurses who helped us and the doctor are why this is not one star. That was yesterday and when we went back for a follow-up today to see how the antibiotic was doing, the same NP then said both ears had infections but the left was getting better (the doctor had not seen any in this ear previously) and diagnosed our infant instead with wheezing and wanted us to give her an inhaler and breathing treatments. It was overall a horrible experience causing excess distress to our poor baby. The doctor, Dr. Blair, and nurses were great but if you go, make sure it is not with the nurse practitioner we saw.

It was close to home so I was excited and hopeful that I had found a new doctor. A couple weeks ago I went in for an annual exam. My appointment was at 3:00. I arrived a few minutes early and sat in the waiting area. Around 3:30 I was called back. I was asked why I was there by the assistant. I felt it was strange this was not notated in my chart. Anyway, she checked my weight, oxygen and blood pressure (which registered extremely low) then sent back to the waiting area as there were no rooms available. About 20 minutes after that I was called back and the assistant was going to check my vitals. I told her that was already done so back to the waiting room I go. This office was definitely not impressing me at this point. Maybe five minutes after that, I get called back and I am put in a room. I waited until 4:30 until Dr. Uzo finally came in. During my long wait for the doctor I did consider just walking out. Dr. Uzo seemed nice and asked me some health questions. She addressed the low blood pressure (which after talking to my daughter, who is a nurse, said they used too big a cuff on me which is why it registered so low). Around 4:45, I was taken to have my blood drawn by the office manager. She printed the labels that were to be attached to the vials and handed them to me with no explanation. I asked what I was to do with them and then she tells me to verify my name was correct. It was a strange interaction. When she was finished with the draw, she said I could go to the front and make my next appointment. She left me sitting in the chair. So I lifted the arm rest myself to get out of the chair and found my way back to the front of the office to leave. It would have been nice to be walked out instead of just left sitting there. All in all, I was there for two hours for a simple blood draw. A friend thinks they forgot about me in the room and they realized I was there when I came out to use the restroom during my long wait for the doctor. Sadly, I will not be back and will continue my search for a new primary care doctor.

He seems to really care about his patients on a personal level. I have had many, many doctors in my lifetime but none as knowledgeable and encouraging as Dr. Collins. I HIGHLY recommend Dr Westerman for anyone with a sleep issue…read more I thought I might have sleep apnea when Matt told me I was waking him up at night making choking sounds. I got a referral from my Primary Care Physician to Dr. Westerman, and he was able to get me in for an appointment withing a couple of days. He recommended both day and night sleep studies, and the office was able to get me in the very same night due to a cancellation. Upon my arrival that evening, the technician on duty explained to me exactly what was going to happen. As she got me all hooked up (there are lots of wires and LOTS of icky goop), she explained to me what each set was for and answered any questions that I had. She was standing by all night ready to help me out, and in the morning made sure that she came in and introduced me to the technician that she was turning over with. When Dr Westerman arrived for the day, he also stopped in to say hello and check in with me. During the day study, the day technician was awesome. She checked on me constantly, made sure I had everything I needed, and kept me in the loop on everything. Once everything was done, Dr Westerman met with me and talked me through the initial readings on my studies. When I came back in for my complete results, he took the time that I needed, and explained everything to me. Every visit I have had with him since has been the same. He did not seem concerned with time, and ensured that my questions were all fully answered before I left. I recently lost my job, and, therefore, my insurance. When I called the office to let them know and to ask about prescriptions, I was assured by the office staff that they would work with me to ensure that I would not be without care and medication during this down time. I was very impressed with their kindness. Dr Westerman is also an accomplished amateur photographer, with his photos donning the walls of many of the exam and consultation rooms in the offices. If nothing else, its a great conversation starter! Super, friendly, accommodating staff, and a Doctor who actually seems to CARE about his patients. What more could you want? I will recommend Dr Westerman to anyone looking for a sleep doctor.

I've lost 10 pounds and 2 sizes in one month and I feel like I've lost 10 years! Dr. Muhammed knows more about nutrition than any other doctor I've ever had and he walks the walk, not just talks the talk.
