An adorable little sidewalk restaurant in the heart of Strasbourg France. That's right, France and not Germany. I never knew the city was divided half French and half German.
The guide strongly suggested Schatzi and when the guide tells you it's awesome you go! Famous for their Tartres Flambée (French) or Flammkuchen (German)
It was a no brainer. Not wanting to get to wild I went with the basic. The Traditional - Schmeer, onions and bacon. And only 9.90€ this was an amazing local favorite. Light and toasty with soft creamy cheese, delicate and tender onions and flavorful bacon. I could have had 3.
And their beer was fantastic. I've never seen beer with such a beautiful color (see photo).
FYI. I had to build this Yelp page and Yelp (whoever) seems to be having trouble adding it. So if you want to view more photos and read more information on Schatzi I suggest you use Google. read more
