History
Established in 1964.
Schatz Realty Group was started by Albert Schatz in 1964 as Albert P Schatz LLC.
Albert initially focused on commercial real estate, and was an integral part of many of the local development projects in Ossining and Croton. He was soon joined in the business by his wife and love of his life Liz Schatz, and they created the dynamic husband/wife duo that was a mainstay in real estate on the county, state and national levels for 40+ years.
Al and Liz, both of whom have since passed away, worked in real estate into their 90s. They loved it so much they never thought of stopping until they literally couldn't do it anymore.
They were joined by their sons Eric and Gregg, who have since taken over the business. Over time, the office expanded into helping customers and clients buy, sell and rent their homes, in addition to working on commercial projects as they became available.
In recent years, all of Al and Liz's 4 grandchildren have helped out in various capacities at the office.
Meet the Business Owner: Eric S.
Eric Schatz is principal broker of Schatz Realty Group. Eric has been with the company for over 30 years helping his clients and customers with anything and everything real estate.
His love of all things building-related has led him to complete a few gut rehabs of antique homes, and build over 10 new homes in the immediate local area. Due to all of this building, He has ample experience navigating the maze of local permits, boards, committees, departments and more that are sometimes required when a homeowner wants to get something done on their home!
Eric's favorite thing about working in real estate is helping people feel more comfortable and confident in what is often the biggest purchase or sale of their life!
Eric is a second generation owner, following in the footsteps of his parents Albert P Schatz, who started the business in 1964 and passed away in 2015, and his mother Liz Schatz, who joined the business soon after it was founded and passed away in 2012.
