I contacted two independent agents and one brand-name insurance company. I was shocked at the price range for the same coverage. Jason Brofford at Detweiller-Brofford Insurance checked with different companies to get us the best deal, and the insurance he found for us was $1000 cheaper. We accepted pretty quickly! Every year when it's time to renew, Jason again looks around to find us the lowest price for coverage. This year, our policies are with Erie Insurance, top-rated for homeowners Insurance in the August 2017 issue of Consumer Reports magazine. In addition to saving us money big time, we've been happy with Detweiller's customer service. Emails are answered promptly and a human being picks up the phone. I cannot understand or believe why the one star review would have happened or the vulgar language as James and his team are the most professional, friendly, accommodating and kind insurance agents I have ever worked with. We did call a plumber and he determined it was most likely a leak that had seeped into the flooring from a dishwasher Our next step was a restoration company who removed 6 layers of flooring. Yes, this is a nightmare, and we have no idea of when it started. The worst part is Liberty Mutual did NOT cover the damages If someone could tell me how to discover water when you do not see it on surfaces and being a customer for 35 years and never late with a payment. Why were we denied. We will be canceling both our auto and homeowners policies. I can NOT in good faith recommend this company

Was told there had been some errors so they'd redo the whole policy. So the rate went way down which made me think we'd been paying the wrong amount for at least six months. I didn't want to rock the boat so I accepted the new policy which was good. It's April 7 and I'm told the policy is being changed again. No claims. No accidents. They raised it 500.00 extra per year. We were promised the new rate from March 2018 to March 2019. How do these companies get away with this? I have the paper work and am writing the Attorney General on Monday. Don't use this company if you value your sanity.
