The window sill ledges on the sides of the building were so rotten that you could probably put your finger through the wood. I'm assuming the lease costs were VERY low and a big factor in the choice to set up shop here. The inside was much better kept, with some effort obviously put into making it look much nicer than the exterior. It looked and smelled clean inside. The ladies behind the front counter were very nice, but couldn't find match appointment I'd made 2+ months ago, and had no record of me in the system. Luckily I had my referral info available on my health provider's online portal, and they were able to get me in to be seen after completing the intake forms. Dr. Nguyen was very nice, professional, and fully explained the root cause of both issues I came to see her for. She was not able to provide solutions for either, but did demonstrate exercises/massage that can help with one, and a type of OTC device that helps some people with the other. She did not attempt to sell me any snake oil medicines or devices, and explained the other solution isn't usually effective for most people. I appreciated her honesty and professionalism in regards to all of that, and walked away with a good impression of her and her practice. Overall I'd suggest not judging the office from the exterior, but make sure to head in with your referral just in case of issues with your scheduling.

Seeing Dr. Quoc Nguyen ended up being a complete waste of time for me, and that is not something I…read moresay lightly. I had to see him twice for the exact same issue, and during the second visit it became clear that he did not remember seeing me before. I was asked the same questions all over again, as if the first appointment had never happened. What made it worse was that he ordered multiple labs during the first visit, only to request many of the same tests again later. It felt disorganized and repetitive, and ultimately unnecessary. To be fair, Dr. Nguyen himself is pleasant and polite. He comes across as calm and agreeable, and I don't think his intentions are bad. The problem is that being nice does not make up for a lack of continuity or attention to a patient's history. I left both appointments feeling like nothing had actually moved forward. The staff, unfortunately, made the experience significantly worse. They were rude, dismissive, and unhelpful, which added frustration to an already inefficient process. Basic questions were met with attitude, and it felt like an inconvenience to them just to be there. That alone would make me think twice about returning. ENTs are not always easy to find, especially ones with availability, but this is not a practice I would recommend investing your time in. Between repeat visits, duplicated labs, lack of familiarity with my case, and an unprofessional front office, the experience simply was not worth it. I walked away feeling like my time had been wasted rather than my issue addressed.

After going through basic info checking, the phone receptionist asked about 3~4 screening questions that if I have crackling and popping noise on my ear, mucus going to throat, and etc. I answered as best as I can and she says my symptoms are not what they specializes. And she was trying to refer me to another ENT office. I didn't know there are different specialties in ENT. I'm no medical professional and just want to get checked up. She said this place is more specialized in nose and throat, and they won't be able to check my ears. Then take the E off of your name and just say NT. I clearly have a problem on my ear and I'm trying to get checked up by an ENT doctor. I'm not going to waste anymore time to this receptionist. This conversation happened on Friday afternoon and now I have to spend another week to find and see a doctor, while the symptom could get worse. The doctors and other professionals in this place is clearly doing a great job to get this many good reviews and my friend recommending as well. But this reception clearly turning the table upside down. Perhaps you should put that screening questions on your website, new patient section so people don't have to waste so much time, before asking patients info and insurance info.

Not dying yet 2. Cash patient Customer service: friendly and courteous. I read the reviews and some said they were rude. I feel like it's all perception. Both staff members were friendly. Hopefully they stay can compose the same mannerism even when they are having bad days or busy days. Those are the days that counts the most to customers. The first visit fee was understandable. First time patient and cash only. I get that the cost is high. I shopped around and his was fair. I feel the couple other follow up visits could be a lot less. There's a reason why people are cash patients. They cant afford insurance. Charging them a day and a half of work (considering they work minimum wage) for any follow up visit is beyond me. On top of that i have to buy the meds at a pharmacy. Every follow up I had was less than 10 min. I get we are paying for the doctor's expertise and mainly his medical equipment but cmon. I gave the place 5 stars mainly for courtesy, professionism, and genuine care. The doctor explain to me the cause, symptoms and treatment. Checked my nares and told me they were inflammed causing the ear fluid to back up in the ear (where no q tip or ear removal equipment could reach). Took 3 diff meds and a few follow up to have my left ear back to normal. The doctor is good at what he does. I recommend him. Follow up pricing could be more friendly to cash patients.

Then, one day after my appointment, I called the office because my ear was still completely blocked and I wanted to know if I needed to come back and pay for another consultation. I hope this helps others make a more informed decision and look for better options.

I have seen at least 5 ENT doctors before so I've gotten fairly good at catching ENT red flags and…read morethis practice has by far more red flags than almost any other practice I've been to. Here's what I've observed so far over a course of 3 months: 1) I was first referred by my PCP in March and couldn't get an appointment til April. Long wait for appointments, sure ok. Minimal wait time in the waiting room tho so that's good. 2) Most of the time you call during normal business hours, no one picks up. Supposedly they are only closed for lunch from 12-1 but it would take me days of calling at 10am and 2pm to reach someone. 3) Over the last 3 months, I was only ever scheduled with the PA, Phillip. He was PHENOMENAL, helpful, kind, and a huge reason I kept coming back. He was so considerate he even made sure i got in quick so I wouldn't get charged for parking. Guess what? By my 4th visit he was "no longer with the practice". I hope he quit bc if they let him go that's pretty a bad business move on their part lol 4) The two girls at the front desk are ok but Miryam the Surgery scheduler is incredibly rude. I had been open about needing my surgery to be treated with urgency bc I wasn't sure how long I'd still be eligible for insurance. They wouldn't even schedule me until my insurance approved everything so I had to wait weeks to even schedule. Ok fine. But when my insurance actually approved the surgery she kept saying it didn't. She even had the audacity to try to blame/gaslight me and say she didn't send the referral for it earlier bc I was "confused about my insurance". I wasn't confused I just didn't know how long I'd still be eligible for! She never even made an attempt to try to schedule me even before I told her about my insurance. So I filed a complaint with my insurance for negligence and refusal of care and ALL OF A SUDDEN I'm getting contacted multiple times over the course of days (by text) saying that I was approved and there were several surgery appointments available for me to take, appointments that were even sooner than what they had told me before. I'm calling BS on that. It seriously got to a point where I had to ask her "Do you guys even want to do this surgery?" Bc it felt like I had to force them to want to take my business bc they kept pushing my appointments far out and giving me the run around 5) Mind you after 3 months and multiple appointments I haven't even seen or MET Dr. Vakkalanka at this point and she's the one who I'm supposed to trust to operate on my unconscious body and conduct a complex revision septoplasty with turbinate reduction ?? Not even her coming in to say hi hello for two seconds. Extremely scary concept to wrap my mind around. 5) This Yelp page claims they have onsite CT imaging and they do NOT, they sent me to an imaging center for that procedure. That could've been due to my insurance but it's worth mentioning. 6) Did I mention the parking isn't even free after 20 minutes so appointments are rushed to accommodate this? To put into context how poor the service here was, I contacted another ENT to take my business to and I already have an appointment scheduled in 4 days. I had my primary surgery in 2020 that apparently didn't permanently fix my deviated septum in my right nostril or enlarged turbinates blocking my left nostril and these issues have worsened over the years and every day I am abusing Vicks inhalers and Vapo Rub just to get through the day. I can only sleep on my left side but really I have no airflow through either side and I have valve collapse. And I could've been getting help sooner and breathing again but I was trying to be patient and understanding and give the benefit of doubt. Don't waste your time and energy like I did, it's not worth it!
