Well, maybe, but you only get what you pay for. 2. The staff here has been nothing but phenomenal, they have been working like crazy and I feel they are completely under-appreciated. This place has so many good reviews that are based simply on the job they do. 3. There are isolated issues, sometimes, but thats life. Things aren't always going to be perfect. Look at the big picture. But they sure as hell try to fix any issue. 4. Thank you OVR for the best thing weve ever done as a family. This will be our 2nd home for life. Everyone that works at the campground is nice and all the seasonal campers seem very pleasant. Bingo on Friday nights is fun. Oh and best of all it is very reasonable for a week at the shore, so close to sea isle city. No camper? They rent beautiful campers so you too can enjoy a week of camping like us.

I just joined Thousand Trails the day prior. And my first reservation set. I had some traffic…read moreissues and arrived at about 8:30 after making a reservation at about 2 PM. May the young lady at the camper where the fish was my first time at 1000 trails camp and she said not a problem. Well, when I arrived at 8:30 that night, the welcome center was closed down, there were no guards in the gate and I found my way to the front door of the welcome center where there was a sign saying reservations are in a plastic box below take your paperwork. I look at my paperwork of course I didn't know if they do not assigned spots to people so I was confused as where to park. Drove through the park, terribly manicured tree limbs hanging everywhere hitting my coach scratching the side of my coach. To say the least, I was not happy whatsoever. I didn't notice on the paperwork there was a number for security if there were any issues so I called, again, and again, and again for two hours with no luck. Went directly to voicemail. After about two hours of being on property security guards coached my coach and knocked on the door. I open the door and the asked if I was OK. I told him yeah I've been better off of security answer their phone. He goes what phone? They don't give us a phone here. This place is going downhill. I said well why is the office closed he said I don't know normally it was open till midnight. Showed me around, the spots were so dark you couldn't even see. Not to mention I've never been at an RV camp where your hook ups are in multiple places. For instance electric was on one side of the couch, sewer was on another side of the couch and the water was at the back of the coach shared with the people behind me. Never my life. So I told him if he didn't mind I'll wait till the morning. He said no problem you can stay out in the welcome lot. 9 o'clock the next morning I went to the office. I told them what it happened and their response to me was we don't have staff to show you around sir if you don't like it here we can transfer you to another park. I just cannot believe the response and that was not just from the young lady at the counter, but the managers as well. I told him I'd be back in a minute and I went to my coach looking for another park. Located Chestnut Lake and I cannot tell you how nice and accommodating the people were at Chestnut Lake. I canceled my reservation with Lakeshore and was happy to go to another place. Once I arrived at Chestnut Lake they had me booked in for 14 days they gave me a beautiful spot on the lake and I can't tell you how happy I have been!! Staff at Chestnut Lake is awesome.

We just came back from a 4 day/3 night stay at this campground which was lovely…read more It's located on route 9 and the South Jersey beaches are a quick drive away. Nearby is a gas station, a grocery store, and a few eateries so the location was very convenient and easy to find. Prices were reasonable and the staff went above and beyond at check in to explain their policies and were readily available to assist with your needs. There is a $20 cash refundable gate pass charge at check in. We were escorted to our site (upon request). They will also lend you their beach passes for a $20 deposit + $3 per day (used or not, in your possession) which is a savings of $2 over getting them at the beach. They have a store, a few wifi spots, and a nicely equipped gym. A koi pond outside the office/store is a nice place to sit and relax. Our site was large and clean and contained a fire pit and picnic table. The soil was sand based and flat which made leveling our trailer easy. We were surprised that our site was full hookup as we were told at time of reservation and at check in moments earlier that sewer was not available. There was also a clean bath house nearby, which could use some signage. The campground had a playground and doggie area - neither of which we used, a large pool with deck, and a snack bar open selectively ajacent to the pool. The pool area had umbrellas, chairs, and loungers as well as a smaller off to side gated area for smaller swimmers. The area surrounding the pool had a small flower garden and was quite pretty. However, the pool was NOT relaxing at all, as the music blared loudly, so much so that I couldn't talk to the person beside me. And the playlist was just awful! I did ask the lifeguard to turn it down (which they did) but it was still loud and annoyed me so much that I left. The pool was open till 4 weekdays, and 7 weekends. The campground was quiet and the staff and campers alike super nice, some of the nicest we've encountered actually. Outside of the beach there wasn't much to do as the season in NJ doesn't really start till July so I regretted not booking later so we could have taken in some activities, so that was a bit of a bummer. I'd stay here again in season. If you want to stay a few times off season ask about their gas saver program. It's worth it!

While we do make good money for our ages we still didn't want to spend too much money on a place to stay.The price good not be beat! When we arrived, we were greeted by very friendly camp staff. The area we were given was neat and tidy. We all set up our tents and were good to go. I wish I could say more about the vacation, but since this review is about Frontier. I'll continue on about frontier.. 1. The showers/ bath house.. They were very well kept and clean.. I'm glad they had a dry area to keep your hygiene stuff in. The water is warm.. some campgrounds only have cold water.. The showers are nicely tiled. It's almost like they thought of everything you'd need and installed it in the bath house. 2. Camp Site: although our particular site was small, We were able to make it work & we can't complain because it's what we paid for and the staff was very lenient with where we stored our stuff. We had water and electric which is very nice to have especially in the electronic world we live in today.. We were able charge our phones and wash the dishes we used to cook. 3. Store & Recreation: The store had a lot of stuff for the unprepared camper.. so you shouldn't have to venture too far to get stuff if you forgot something. We were pretty prepared as we were once boy scouts. They sell ice to keep your goods cool and wood for the fire pit at night. They have a playground for children that's in good shape, Volleyball court and stage for events. They aren't too too far from the beaches. We would've been happier if they were closer to the beach but its hard to put a campground near a beach. Overall, If we were to visit New Jersey again, there's a good chance we'd stay here again.. They're are other places we'd like to see in the country though.

Lovely tall oak and pine trees around many sites, but quite a few of those tall pines are dead and look like potential widow-makers. Daily sites have concrete or asphalt pads for chairs & the picnic table. Balance of each site is pea stone. Nicely kept. They do have a very small dog park but it's mostly withered grass and dirt - our dogs came away filthy. Oh, and by the way, the note that they charge 3% on all credit card transactions is buried in the seasonal documentation so it's not obvious to daily and weekly users.
