I was looking for some 1950's items for a Internet video production and found six perfect items for a fantastic price.

Like most consignment stores, Simple Finds is overwhelming with the amount of inventory they have. It is stacked from entry to exit, from wall to wall and floor to ceiling! They have all the varieties of items you would expect at a consignment store from jewelry, art, furniture, tchotchkes, statues, records, lighting and much more. We like to wander around consignment shops and this area of Chamblee Dunwoody, they are plentiful. So, when we make our trip over this way Simple Finds is always on the list to swing by. We are usually after unique furniture items, and on their good days, Simple Finds has a decent selection from small tables to large cabinets, etc...Outside of the furniture, there is not a lot of items that are eye catching for us here. Service is hit and miss here, never terrible, but also not what I would describe as "friendly" either. Additionally, pricing here is a bit inflated. I get the whole "one persons trash is another persons treasure", but come on... Overall, Simple Finds is a random weekend stop for us on occasion. I will say that visiting here is like visiting a massive neighborhood yard sale, so you get lucky from time to time, but for the most part...it is just a place to browse for us.

However, what makes My Favorite Place different is that they are more flea market than consignment/antique store, and this is something that they fully embrace and own! We have popped into My Favorite Place a couple of times over the years in search of things we never knew we needed. MFP is a treasure trove of used items ranging from trinkets to furniture that are stacked from wall to wall and floor to ceiling, they even have pieces outside lining the sidewalk. To go back to the "flea market" comment, that is truly what the items here are. The store feels like one big yard sale with majority of the items simply being used and old, not really antiques or collectibles. Due to this and the way things are stacked and shelved, a lot of items are pretty beat up. They have a solid selection of furniture pieces, but again they are chipped and worn. If you are after furniture and plan to finish it yourself, then MFP is a solid option for you! Prices are fair and decent for everything in here, even the furniture. The pricing reflects the condition, so again if you are a DIY-er, then you can really find some great deals and good pieces here. Overall, My Favorite Place is a combination of over and underwhelming. Overwhelming in the way of volume of items, haphazard organization and stocking and underwhelming in the condition of items. We pop in when we are in the area, but would not go out of our way to drop by here.

You know you have arrived once you see the large blue sign and metal awning hovering around and over the front doors. This place is overwhelming with the amount of items they have from entry to exit, so brace yourselves! I would say 50% of their stock is tchotchke based with a lot of glass cases holding things from bobble heads to cards to small figurines, etc...They also have a lot of artwork and signage strewn throughout with pockets of furniture, clothing, lamps and even a corner dedicated to retro hardware. I do feel that they have a lot more small, dated items than true antiques. Don't get me wrong, they have a large variety of unique items - but it is definitely a healthy mix of antique and flea market finds. The staff was very nice as we were greeted shortly after entering and were checked up on throughout our journey. Even when we left empty handed, they made sure to thank us for coming by and welcomed us back. Overall, Chamblee Antiques & Interiors has a lot to offer to the right person. While we didn't find anything we were looking for this time around, we will swing back through on our next trip down "antique row" in Chamblee.
