I arrived about 15 minutes ahead of my appointment with all the forms filled out. The receptionist…read morehad already run my insurance so I could take care of the copay straightaway. They also provide free wifi so I can post a good Yelp review without having to chew up data (LOL)! Light music was playing in the background from one of the local radio stations (the "Dove"). That plus a nice receptionist (Sierra) certainly helped my anxiety. I came here because I smashed my right foot on a stair at my townhome. Fortunately I didn't break it but I did quite a number to the nail; partially torn from nail bed. Blech! Wound up seeing Dr Komarov this first go round. After introducing himself and looking at my issue, he had X-rays taken to be thorough. No broken bones; wee! He also trimmed my nails and clipped off the one part of my detached nail. He thought the rest was salvageable; he advised warm water and Epsom salts. He also advised to use a bandage for the rest of the week with triple antibiotic. Follow up in two weeks to see how it's coming along. He also looked at my other big nail; took a sample to send to the lab to check for infection. Meantime, back in two weeks for follow up. Kinda slow today; apparently he was the only doctor on duty this afternoon.

I visited Tampa bay podiatry today and it was what were the nicest experiences I've had. I was…read moreChecked in by a very nice receptionist. Dr. Aiken is a top notch podiatrist. I'm an athlete/runner who has a job that keeps me on my feet…read more10-12 hours a day, and my feet take a LOT of abuse. Dr. Aiken understands the mentality of runners, and is very conservative in his treatment. I had to have my first cortisone shot in over 20 years in my heel, and he was very calming and professional during the procedure, which can be painful. He was the ONLY podiatrist in 25 plus years that diagnosed me with a heel spur that had likely been present for decades. Great advice--again, he knows and understands athletes and he ALSO worked wonderfully well with my 89 year old Father In Law and his multiple issues with his feet/toenails. The office is run VERY efficiently with long term staff. Highly recommended!

My follow-up visit I was given a Cortisone shot without any anesthesia, which was painful, plus he cut my toenails so short that I could not wear shoes for over a week, had to wear open toe sandals. I therefore transferred to another podiatrist closer to where I live, and experienced much better results. Dr. Aiken may help some of his patients, but he did not help me!

Their policies are in favor of them, not the patients. You are forced to use their preferred specialists, not the heart doctor you've used for 20 years, or my MRI provider! It is a nightmare to get referrals. I have called their new 'call center' over 5 times to get clarification of a procedure, with NO ANSWER. I had enough and found another doctor. Both my husband and I and a friend left for the same reasons (year 2025-2026). It's interesting because my mom is 96 and getting lots of attention by Dr. Vinalon. Others fall through the cracks. After speaking to ofice mgr several times (Anna) I get "it's ccompany policy, maybe you should chose another facility... many patients are leaving for the same reason..." Then after I"ve selected another facility, some other individual calls and wants to quiz me on why I left. Wasting more of my time after it was clear to the Center why I left. They make someone who is ill and needs surgery SUFFER for dropped actions, unsent referrals, struggling to connect the dots vs have a surgery cancelled---at the LAST MINUTE! Horror show.
