Located on Sunset Point Rd., this office has kept our family's feet happy for over 15 yrs. It's a practice that helps all ages, and I recommend it especially for families. Dr. Elizabeth Edwards has been super with our kids as their feet grew and through sports and dance activities. She and her staff are good listeners and help you to diagnose what is causing your aches. From plantar fasciitis, in-grown toe nails, care for sprained ankles, to diabetic impacts on feet, this office has provided a range of services for us. We have learned that a quick trip to this office saves money. Our attempts at self diagnosis and buying shoes that don't help add up and we still end up going to this office after we've dropped big bucks. TIP: the shoe inserts sold at this office are much better quality, last longer and are more helpful than store bought brands. About $50 for a set, I use the inserts for all my walking, work and hiking shoes and can finally manage my plantar with more success. Open to new patients of all ages. read more

SUMMARY: Great experience seeing Dr. Edwards for my broken pinkie toe. I found the entire staff professional, friendly, caring, punctual and kind. They function like a very tight-knit team. And my broken pinkie toe bone healed up perfectly so that you can't tell it was ever broken. All staff wear masks too. Highly recommend! DETAILS: I broke my right pinkie toe. Chiro sent me for X-ray and since it was a complex fracture, he recommended that I see a specialist. My timing was terrible. Friday night I left a message and Dr. Edwards's office called me promptly Monday morning. The lady who called had me read my X-ray over the phone so that the doctor could listen and she could be certain that they could actually help me. Dr. Edwards said she could help. I drove over and saw her. Dr. Edwards reviewed the CD of my X-ray with me. It showed that my pinkie toe bone had broken through completely and was moved out of alignment by about 1mm. She said that it was too late to move the bone into proper position because the body immediately starts to produce a glue-like substance when a bone breaks. The bone has to be re-set within 1 or 2 days at the most after the break. Dr. Edwards removed the tape that I had on my toes (I had actually taped all 4 of my small toes together to try to stabilize my pinkie toe). She told me NOT to wrap the toes as I had. She told me that she only wanted my pinkie toe and the toe next to it wrapped together to stabilize the pinkie toe. She showed me what motion she wanted me to avoid during the healing. By wrapping the toes that way that I had, I would have been promoting the motion that she wanted me to avoid. Dr. Edwards showed me how to properly wrap my pinkie toe and the toe next to it with flexible self-stick bandage (coflex) (because the medical tape that I was using was harder to remove and was also peeling my skin off with the tape in a couple of places). She showed me how to wrap the bandage around my foot to further stabilize my pinkie toe. She told me to wear a surgical shoe to keep my toe protected. I bought 2 surgical shoes so that I could switch off between them. I returned to see Dr. Edwards 3 weeks and 4 days after I broke my toe (3 weeks after I first saw her). She did 3 X-ray views of my foot and toes and showed me that the bone had knitted itself back together perfectly. The bone looked like it had never been broken. She told me that bone takes 4-6 weeks to completely heal as it gets stronger and more solid as time goes on. So, I still need to wear the surgical shoe for a while to protect my toe as it continues to heal and the bone gets stronger. But I'm thrilled that it has healed up perfectly. And I will be back in regular flat shoes in a couple of weeks. I still should wear high heels soon. But I almost never wear high heels anyway, so that's no problem. What I learned from this experience is that if I have a foot injury like a broken toe, it must be handled immediately (either at an ER or in a podiatrist's office). I was trying to avoid the ER because of Covid. So, if I had this to do over again, I would have gone to see Dr. Edwards on the day I broke my toe, instead of seeing a chiro friend to just get it X-rayed to see if it's really broken. As it is, it all worked out well and my toe bone healed perfectly. But if this ever happens again (I hope it doesn't), but if it does happen again, I'd call Dr. Edwards's office right away. Also, the X-ray machines at the podiatrist office are set up to X-ray feet and they don't need to twist and tape your toes to a surface to get the right angle for the X-ray (like the folks at Akumin needed to do). I had two appointments here and both times they were running right on schedule. This was a great experience. I found the entire staff professional, friendly, caring, punctual and kind. A very professional enterprise here at Foot and Ankle physicians. I started coming to this practice several years ago, to see Dr. Gary Goodman. He has since retired, and now I see his associate Dr. Elizabeth Edwards, whom I am very happy with. As a diabetic, taking care of one's feet is very important. Insurance, whether private or Medicare, allows diabetic patients to see a foot doctor every 62 days. I firmly believe by maintaining this schedule, it has done wonders for me. The technician that takes care of my feet is named Trina. She is a magician! I want to describe what she does to my feet, but will spare you the details. Suffice to say when I leave that office I have "happy feet" for real! Thank you Trina! You're the best! About a year ago, I had an excruciating ingrown toenail. I called the office and explained my situation, and within hours I was sitting in the chair, with Dr. Edwards removing the problem, totally painless! Never felt any discomfort what so ever. This is an excellent practice. The doctor and all the staff are professional, kind and caring.

I rolled my ankle and was in serious pain so I needed to see a Dr fast. Dr Elizabeth Edwards was able to see me on very short notice. When I arrived I was promptly brought in to a patient room. The first assistant asked for some standard info and just a couple min later the Dr came in. She examined my swollen ankle and did not feel it was broken but wanted X-rays to be safe. The X-ray tech wheeled in the machine within 2 min. I do not recall his name but he was friendly and took care in moving my foot around for the different angle shots needed. Shortly after Dr Edwards returned to look at the X-rays. She took time to review and explain the different areas that typically can break when you have this type of injury. She then explained I would need to wear a boot for a few weeks and right away fitted me with one. The level of care, professionalism and bedside manner is above and beyond! If you ever are in need of a foot or in my case ankle Dr I highly recommend you make an appointment to see Dr Elizabeth Edwards. Also I did notice hanging on the wall in the hall is a certificate stating she is a Board Certified Surgeon which is great to know. read more

Ok where do I begin. I chose this practice because it was close to my house. I saw Dr Nguyen, at first she seemed like she could help me. I had a $ 55 co-pay, and understand that it was normal procedure. She suggested ice and rest and an ankle brace (not revealing my condition). My foot just got worse. Went back for a second visit, a follow up, she said the same thing rest, wrap etc. I work on my feet for 8- 12 hours, I cannot afford to stay home. She wanted me to stay home. Really? Not a practical reality. She suggested the third visit might be a cast. Really? did she not understand I cannot miss work????? My foot continued to give me pain, I got some help from a physical therapist friend of mine. He offered much more options then Dr Nguyen. On the third and final visit she had absolutely no intention on helping me any longer. She was condescending, patronizing and rude. Handing me a surgeon's name to go to. Like I would trust her at this point. But what annoys me ,was she knew by the second visit that she could not help me, but kept charging my insurance and co-pay. I wasted $165.00 in co pays and God knows how much they charged my insurance for absolutely not helping me at all. This practice needs to listen and help the patient. Be realistic, not everyone can afford to stay home and be off their feet. I do not recommend this doctor at all!!!! read more

I had never been to a Podiatrist before, but needed one because the medicine that my Dermatologist gave me totally infected my feet, and I had moved so I needed a new M.D. It was my lucky day when I ended up in the office of Dr. Elizabeth Edwards and her amazing staff. They were so professional and kind, and when they saw my extraordinary distress they alleviated all of it starting with my first visit. The office is so well run and is a very cheerful place to be. The wait time is quite short, and the care is top notch, and Tim and Dr. Edwards returned my feet back to me when I thought all was lost. Everyone in the office is wonderful and Dr. Edwards knew exactly how to calm me and cure me. I only wish I could give them ten stars!! read more

YELP HELP DONT PROMOTE THIS PLACE: TOO MANY DOCTORS IN THE AREA TO GO TO THIS OFFICE: This office came highly recommended, TOO BAD. Even though the cost for my orthotics was a bit more, I felt confident in seeing Dr. Annis. She really seemed to have a way about her and her knowledge was wonderful. However, this office took 3 months to order and give me my orthotics. I had to go to their office over those 3 months only to leave with no orthotics.This included time missed from work and finding a sitter. They would say sorry and promise that in 3-4 more weeks my perfect orthotics would arrive. Finally, after 3 months my $500 orthotics did arrive and I felt confident in using them. Upon receiving the correct orthotics, I spoke to the doctor about my concerns if the orthotic did not help my foot pain what would we do? She gave a great detail of a possible surgery. Now a month later I receive a bill in the mail and a charge to my insurance company. I called this office as this had to be a mistake, my follow up appointments were suppose to be included and even a few adjustments, as the doctor said that may be necessary. Well, I was told that the charge was approved by the doctor because the doctor spoke to me about surgery and did not just deliver my orthotics. I can not understand how the office manager then tells me that she can see where I had 4 appointments, where they did not give me my orthotic and there was no charge, so this time the charge was correct because the doctor spoke to me about surgery. I explained in great depth that the previous appointments were not my fault, not me changing things but the lab messed up the doctors script and even the doctor stated they were not longer using the lab due to the issues. The doctor was very nice and apologized for all the appointments with me. The office manager told me of course we are going to say sorry what else do you expect us to do? But she insisted that I was wrong, that I needed to pay for the visit because they saw me for no cost all the other times. They saw me because they did not get the script right with the lab and the lab did not do the order correctly and now they want to push that cost onto me. Also, the manager then accused me of having more than one pair of orthotics because she saw where I picked up a pair but never returned them. This is absolutely unprofessional and handled incorrectly. If the office would have really thought this issue through they would see they are charging me for office visits that were of no fault of mine and also were suppose to be included in my fee. This office feels they can charge what they want when they want. Upon leaving this office I never received a bill nor was told there would be an additional charge, till I received the bill in the mail. Too bad. And when the doctor called she made sure to let me know she did not think my reveiw was appropriate. Well I do not think their office is appropriate. read more

Dr. Elizabeth Edwards and her team at Foot and Ankle Physicians are FABULOUS! I was very apprehensive/nervous about having foot surgery. I shouldn't have worried at all. Everyone was so informative and patient with me and all my questions, especially Dr. Edwards. Anthony, who helped get my surgery all setup, also made the process very easy. My visits were always pleasant and I never had to wait more than 5 minutes in the waiting room. It's been two months since my procedure and I can say I wish I had it done sooner. I've been suffering all these years because I was afraid. There really was nothing to be afraid of at all, I feel so much better now.
