She tailored our lessons to my language level--I am an advanced speaker so our weekly meetings (via Zoom due to the pandemic) consisted of friendly chats like two friends catching up over coffee, but entirely in French. However, when I wanted more help with the usage of prepositions, Geneviève had exercises readily available. Additionally, she would also assign me a topic to write about that we would discuss the following week, and she was great at choosing subjects that interested me as well as pushed me to use different vocabulary, verb tenses/moods, varied sentence structures, etc. After a few months working with Geneviève on a weekly basis, I feel like my language recall and fluency have greatly improved, matching my language proficiency I had attained while living in France.
