So I had the beef pie instead. The beef pie was good with the side of mashed potatoes, but like a few girls I know would say, I've had better. Overall, a good place, especially for the location and I, will try it again. hopefully on my second visit, I will be able to get the Sunday roast, and hopefully, it will be worth another star in my review.

I ordered the soda bread to start. O.M.G. It is SOOO good. Crispy and well-studded with raisins and served with an amazing soft dollop of salted butter. Three large pieces are served on a wooden board. This is far tastier soda bread than I got in Ireland! Next, I got the courgette ribbon and broad bean salad, ricotta and figs as a starter. It's a decent portion and the salty ricotta plays off the hearty chunks of fig well. This is a seasonal summer dish so grab it before it goes! Finally, the main: courgette linguine, pesto, wild mushrooms, rocket and parm. The rocket is sprinkled atop the tightly wound linguine. It's quite a tasty dish, with the earthy mushrooms and pesto blending well together. This a mainstay. Well-done Floyd's!

The food was a bit pricier than what I would expect, but it was a nice establishment and had plenty of variety. My wife and I each got the 2 course for £12 deal. The portion-size was good and there were vegetarian options for my wife. Service was frequent despite the busy-ness and our seats being behind a pillar. The interior looks nicely furnished but doesn't demand a suit and tie.

It is also a Greek restaurant with, obviously, Greek inspired food, natural wines and craft beer. I haven't tried their food as I've always been there for breakfast or for an afternoon coffee, but I've seen some dishes around and they look delicious! The space is beautifully and simply decorated, with an open kitchen and some tables here and there and lots of natural light! We have tried everything on their menu at some point and have never been disappointed. They do change the meals around a bit, and we do sometimes find ourselves passing on our way to somewhere else to see if they have our favourites! The staff are quite quiet but are very friendly. The interior is very very simplistic but I like what they've done with it, although I do feel that adding a little more to it would actually really improve the feel of the place. Still, very much worth a visit, particularly if you're after a brunch.
