They were supposed to replace our roof last summer and opened our roof up on a day it was pouring all day long. They claimed it was a "pop up" storm they were unaware of. Ironically, they picked this date from our originally scheduled date because of storms, so I know they keep an eye on the radar. They completely destroyed our kitchen just 3 days before we were putting our house on the market and said it wasn't their fault. They took no responsibility. When we left messages for them they ignored our calls and e-mails until we involved an attorney. We felt we had no choice because 4 Guys and A Roof didn't come out to look at our destroyed kitchen for FIVE WEEKS. When the manager, Mike Karen finally came out, his exact words to us were "oh sh*t, this is bad. When you left your voicemail I lumped you in with the other people complaining about a small leak". We emailed photos of the damage and explained in detail on our voicemails of the ignored calls, so there's no way he didn't know the extent of it. Mike also complained to US for calling them and asking for the owner because "you wouldn't call Best Buy and ask for the owner" is what he said. Best Buy is not a small business obviously, and I had no choice but to call & ask for the owner because there is no corporate office for 4 Guys... We were not allowed to clean up or touch any of the damage until our insurance company came out and we also had to hire a mitigation company to do most of the clean up because of the extent of damage. On top of that, on another part of the roof over our bedroom that wasn't damaged by them, they completely failed to seal the roof at the seam and we had a leak! They came back (this is after we hired an attorney) to "fix" that, but it was still a crappy job so we had to hire another contractor to come and seal it correctly. They too were flabbergasted by the damage they saw. We had to replace 2 exterior walls of our home, all of the flooring and floor boards, counters, cabinets, drywall, insulation... our ceiling was on our floor and everything was destroyed and we had to live in this with no help from this company. Our kitchen had to be completely gutted. This happened in June of 2021 and we didn't end up getting a settlement check until October. We had to use a bedroom as a makeshift kitchen during this time and all of construction. We had No kitchen from end of June 25, 2021 until we completed the job ourselves in February 2022 (we have 2 kids in school and sports, and we too have full time jobs and don't just have the luxury to take time off work to clean up someone else mess or babysit a contractor). We didn't hire a contractor to fix the kitchen because 4 Guys was the first and last contractor we'll ever hire. The owner, Jamie Wietrzykowski, was also no help whatsoever. Never came out himself to see the damage and also ignored our calls. He also owns Mail Pouch Saloon in Haskins, OH and Swanton, OH and I refuse to give him any of my business. What a terrible company. Please save yourself from the frustration and terrible job.

Tub and surround,hardware were put in okay. The attention to detail was not there with the workers we had. They had very little skill. We supplied the vanity, beadboard and moulding. They butchered our vanity by cutting the marble backsplash they forgot to install,which led to them replacing the vanity on this latest trip.We had to get more beadboard because they mis measured and tried to put in horizontal. We discovered water leaks in two places.They forgot to caulk many areas or it looked sloppy.. The management or office people seemed to care about our concerns when we contacted them but the workers DID NOT .Just getting the work scheduled took weeks.They didn't bother covering our floors, left messes.They couldn't leave quick enough,without communicating to us. It's like they just snuck out the door.Theres a lot more I could add. This company may be fantastic roofers but they aren't good at remolding a bathroom. This experience has been stressful.We are unhappy. I wish I could write them a good review. I DON'T RECOMMEND.

He put a sign in our yard after the job was completed and the sign reads, Efficient and Affordable. I couldn't agree more. We called several people to come and do an estimate before we decided on if we could afford a new roof. Some of the contractors did not return our call, or did not show up when they said they would. We had another estimate that was $20,000 more than the Pedersen estimate. Unbelievably outrageous! That person spent three hours here trying to convince us we why should pay that much. Shawn had a great warranty. He was very straightforward. He came here and simply gave an estimate; he was not pushy at all. He was great to deal with, his workers were very polite, and generally cleaned up. Shawn came here personally at the end and he made sure all the screws from our original roof were cleaned around the yard with a magnet. We had an issue with our previous roof leaking in an area and we've had one rain since it was completed and no leaks! I would definitely recommend considering him if you were looking at getting some estimates because he shows up when he says he will. And then, I wouldn't be surprised if you end up choosing him after (if) you hear from everyone else.

We had new windows put in our home by Freedom Roofing Windows and Siding by their New Bern NC…read morebranch. It was a nightmare. I should have cancelled the project when they came out FIVE times to measure for windows by several different people. I thought they were being thorough but it actually meant they had NO IDEA how to measure. Well now we've spent months arguing with them about the windows not being the appropriate size because after they installed them, my siding DID NOT fit. They are literally off by 1-2 inches. The project manager's explanation was that "sometimes that happens" which was utter BS because I'm quite confident he knew he messed up royally and didn't want to have to deal with it. He said they would not replace all the windows. We had another contractor come out and pull the window apart and basically said it was wrong and he measured them all wrong. I even questioned him during the installation when two of the windows were grossly undersized and they didn't nail one side of the windows to the house, so he used spray foam to fill in the gap and drilled screws through the side of the frame and said that's how you fix it. They also did a horrific job of installing an exterior door which they came back and fixed. Well they came and replaced those two windows. Josh had them to agree to fix 13 more but we are over it & i dont need mis-matched windows all over. So we decided we would just have to reside the entire house because it's hurricane season and I've got siding loose around every window. We consulted an attorney who we can't afford, with 3k retainer and 300 an hour (and an unknown amount of hours it would take) and their home office is in Ohio so we'd have to probably get another attorney in Ohio for that with no guarantee we'd ever see any money from them for their epic failure. To top it off it's a Veteran Owned Company who totally screwed over two veterans. So lesson learned and do NOT recommend Freedom Roofing Windows and Siding out of New Bern NC for any jobs!
