I've had my car detailed here in the past, etc. Today I was quoted $550 because I needed the carpet cleaned due to me spilling something. When I laughed at the manager's audacity to charge such an outrageously high price, he told me there were two general wash options: $30 and $50. I asked for my mats to be washed. Advertised was $40/4 mats. He said mine would be $80/4 mats because they "weren't rugs", even though mine are rugs. I just didn't have the energy to fight with him, and I genuinely just didn't understand what he was saying. He also added an unadvertised SUV fee of $10. For a grand total of $140. And my car is still dirty. There are dirty spots that weren't wiped clean inside the vehicle. Dirt around my windshield and back windshield. lol. He was also standing intimidatingly nearby the sweet man who delivered my car to me, watching over the transfer, so I didn't feel comfortable to share with the worker why I wasn't happy spending $155 with tip and still having a dirty vehicle. This is my local car wash. Literally can walk to it from my house. I'm sad I cannot no longer support this local business. I hope the managers get some sense in them, lower their prices, and return their service to the previous quality they once had. I may return if that happens. Otherwise, another loss for South Torrance.

I had a few questions about the service, and she answered each one thoroughly. She and the other employees who worked on my car were welcoming, professional, and genuinely hospitable. During the hand drying process, one of the employees explained each step and let me know that the old carpet powder that had exploded in my trunk wasn't going to come out with a basic vacuum. I really appreciated the honesty about what could and couldn't be done with a standard wash instead of making unrealistic promises. Everyone was working hard in the heat, and it showed. The team clearly takes pride in their work and deserves recognition for the effort they put in. After the wash, my car looked great. For a basic wash and dry, it exceeded my expectations. A few water spots were understandable at this price point, but overall the car was very clean. The employees clearly put time, care, and attention into their work, and it shows. After 4-5 minutes a woman walked in, said hi, then began a lengthy conversation with an employee who had followed her in. Finally she was ready to take my credit card and charged more than what I'd been quoted. She began to delete services when I complained and I told her never mind, I'll pay the difference before she had a chance to delete drying from the services rendered. The good news is that the car was clean and dry in just a couple minutes after her manufactured drama. It's one thing to be unprofessional in your service, but trying to sneak in upcharges is a good way to ensure it will be another five years before I stop in again hoping for a change in management. Until then I'll be passing this place en route to other car washes. No wonder they never seem to have much business when I drive by.
