Upon arrival, I thought they were closed bc there were no cars in the parking lot. I went inside when my nephew. I was greeted by staff behind the register. I was given a menu and took same time to review before I placed order at 1:29pm. I got the hibachi fries that come with chicken and steak. I also got Philly cheesesteak egg roll. I was told it would be 10 minutes. I walked around and got my nephew a little juice and it was $3! Wow. Too expensive. I received my food at 1:35pm. It was hot and fresh. I went to a nearby park to eat. No complaints with the fries as it was a lot of meet and very delicious. There was some type of sauce on top that wasn't bad. I likely wouldn't have gotten it had I been asked about it, without trying it, as I tend to error on the side of caution to avoid wasting money and food. The egg-roll on the other hand was lackluster and small. It definitely wasn't worth $4. I would return. Staff member was friendly and I want to try the regular hibachi plate. The store itself is somewhat lacking. I noticed there were many things empty on the shelves, such as the snacks. Options are limited. If you're looking for a convenience store, you may want to check somewhere else as they might not have what you need or what.

What a delight! When…read moreSouthern Seasons closed in Chapel Hill, I thought I would never love again. The European delights that I used to pilgrim towards were yanked from my dreams like a lusty rabbit looking at a carrot. Enter Aji. Years later, my heart has begun to mend as delightful wine and a sweet couple have brought a much needed pop of culture to Greenville. Miki and Kevin were both wonderful hosts tonight; knowledgeable about their servings and treats which made my wife and I ooh and ah (looking at you chocolates and biscuits). The feel is modern and clean, cool and uptown and somehow relaxed at the same time. I plan to come work here in the day sometime (maybe to also get some bites of Made with Love baked goods - Aji is the only outlet for the treats!). The atmosphere begs for an audience and I think that's exactly what it should receive with applause. Come here for something different and delightful and likely decadent. Elevate your palate and have something around-the-worldly and make sure you say hello to Miki and Kevin as well!

I visited The Grocery Bag to try one of their "almost famous" hot dogs. The convenience store and…read morerestaurant were doing a steady business on a Friday night around 5:45. I totally missed the "order here" sign but a person in the cashier line pointed me to it. There I got a hot dog with chili, mustard, and slaw. The woman at the cashier was very friendly and kind. I'm guessing she was the manager. The hot dog was ready by the time I got to the front of the line. Speedy service. I sat down at one of the nice wooden tables they have inside. The hot dog was...just ok. I'm a big fan of cole slaw and this dog just had a dollop on it and was pretty light on mustard. I wouldn't mind that as much except that I didn't love the chili taste. I can't put my finger on it, but the flavor was just not what I love. This place is super cute and clearly a local institution. I'd recommend other folks go by and try it.

We ordered the double cheese burger (comes with meat chili, onions, cheese and mustard) and one double hamburger with lettuce tomato onion. The double burgers were 1/2 pound. We also ordered some house made coleslaw. We sat at the one booth and we served very quickly. Our burgers were really good, the burger itself tasted good. The coleslaw was also a big win. We had 2 double burgers, coleslaws and 2 fountain drinks for 22$, great value and great taste. It is a true locals place run by a family. The family pictures on the wall and everyone coming in seems to know the staff. They have a drive through which also keeps them busy. It is not a fancy place but has a family lunch counter vibe. Well worth our detour off the interstate.

The spacious Deck is one of the best dining venues within miles. It's peaceful, scenic, bucolic and relaxing. Service is friendly and the dishes we have tried were well-prepared, innovative and delicious. The Grilled Salmon with Lemon Butter Sauce ($21 with two sides) was as good as any I have had. The thick loin was pleasantly crunchy with a quick burst of tangy flavor. The inside was juicy, flaky and tender. The Roasted Mixed Vegetables were slightly undercooked, allowing the flavors of the Carrots, Cauliflower and Broccoli to stand out. The Potato Salad was OK, but I would have preferred something more zippy and zesty. The Chicken Salad Sandwich ($8.49 with one side) was smooth and creamy. The Toasted Multigrain Bread and Lemon Vinaigrette Dressing transformed this basic stand-by into something special. The Pasta Salad was a real winner. Unlike most bland pasta salads I have had, this one was nicely seasoned and brimming with flavor. We finished the evening with a generous slice of Cheesecake ($6) with a sweet but tangy Raspberry Jalapeño Sauce. Lunch with a grandson on the deck was a lot of fun for everybody. He had the Kids Meal ($6) which included a Hot Dog (he wanted it plain, of course), Bottle of Gatorade and Chips. We enjoyed the Pastrami Burger ($16.49 - with thin-sliced seared Pastrami, Cheddar Cheese, sliced Onion and Thousand Island Dressing) and the Hawaiian Burger ($14.49 - with grilled Pineapple, BBQ Sauce and Cheddar Cheese). The 1/3 pound burgers were served on a fresh Brioche Bun and included One Side. We can recommend either burger, but the one with Pastrami, was truly outstanding.
