I did my entire treatment of Invisalign in about a year and a half. I wore braces as a kid and of course never wore my retainer. I make sure to wear my retainer every single night now. Speaking of my retainer...it broke twice on me! The plastic at the top of it was too thin and fragile. The doctor made my third one a little shorter and while it looks a little funny since it only covered half my teeth, it's stronger and hasn't cracked in over a year. I was so used to the mold impression material back from when I had my first retainers created but at Lucas Ortho they happen to have their hands on one of these advanced machines. It's basically a scanning wand they slowly scan over your teeth and it digitally imports the impression of your teeth onto the screen. It's pretty cool and makes me grateful I didnt have to go through making those mold impressions the old way. Told me it should take about a week to get the retainer and was able to pick it up exactly a week later! Pretty impressive. Would recommend them to anyone in need of any orthodontic services!

When it was time, Lucas came in and helped remove the retainer, making sure that if I had any pain, to let him know and he would give me a couple minutes. The whole process took less time than I was expecting and I was on to the next portion which was scanning my teeth for the new retainer. The scan was simple and everything was completed very fast!
