Not even 7 years old and my back is killing me. The mattress is extremely uncomfortable after just a short time. I thought latex mattresses were supposed to last longer than a coil spring mattress? We had to add a topper 5 years ago to make it bearable and now even that doesn't help. The mattress has exploded on the sides so there is no side support anymore. Don't be fooled. all they put on their website is the positive reviews which I think are bought and paid for in my opinion. But this mattress has been terrible. An appalling company. They sent us all the boxes. Oops! they forgot half of the springs. We waited another week. The springs arrived. Oops! the wrong casing. We waited four more days. The right casing arrived. We put the bed together. Oops! the springs were too wide. They told us how to cut the excess springs away. We assembled the bed! Finally! We had told them we wanted firmness, but for the top to be like "sleeping on a cloud." They recommended firm springs with a medium foam. When we climbed onto the bed, it was like climbing onto a pool table. Hard a a rock. Horrible. So we bought a topper which makes it bearable. A $3,000 con job! RUN FOR THE HILLS! read more

We bought our Savvy rest bed in 2017 from a local vender, so we could try the bed prior to buying. I wanted an "organic" bed due to sensitivity to VOC,s and being a cancer survivor. Price for the bed $5,000. It was a split king with a topper, so seven pieces. The bed started to sage within a few years, we would turn the layers and topper, but this did not help after awhile. My husband and I are not obese, I weigh 140 pounds. We contacted the company multiple times. We sent pictures as requested of topper and the 1st layer showing the 1 1/2 inch sag. The mattress was 2 firm and a medium, so not soft latex. We were advised they wanted pictures of each layer independently placed on the floor. The topper (king size) and layers are heavy and awkward to manage. So this request would have been quite a job. Take each layer, lay on flat surface (7times) take pictures. We opted not to send additional photos. It was just too much and my husband was in so much pain from the bed that we just decided to bite the financial bullet And buy a new bed. We did contact the vendor and they stated they no longer sale Saavy rest because they do Not honor their warranties. They even gave them a hard time With their personal purchases. If you are not going to work with your vendo who is selling your product to the public you are not going to work with customers. Saavy Rest needs to stop offering a 20 year warranty. They do not sale 20 year beds. If you want so much effort from your customers you need to send representatives to measure the beds. I will never buy another bed online. read more

My mattress layers all deteriorated and crumbled. They considered the wear excess and even though the issue was clearly not normal per their review they only offered me a warranty replacement at the same price I paid for the original. The overall attitude was "to bad". In addition I have sent them more than a hundred customers which did not seem to matter to one of their "employee owners" I will no longer recommend this product to my clients. read more

Saavy Rest? More like Saavy Hell. Serenety mattress? More like *Serenety Now!!!* [Seinfeld reference]. We paid between $3,000 and $4000. And by the way, there are NO RETURNS. Just think about what kind of company would have this policy for online orders. What we got was 6 twin 3" latex foam mattress toppers (retail value $200 each) and then a mattress cover. That's fine the company has healthy profit margins. We tried it out and it was actually kind of comfy, and firm, which is what we wanted. Then we smelled it. Something about that wool mattress cover made me want to smell it, so I did. I was hit in the face with the distinct smell of a goat, or maybe a wet sheep in the flesh. Anyway, we assembled the mattress (no small feat even for a man of 6'3" and 190lbs). The smell started to seep into our sheets and then our bodies. We smelled like a barn full of damp sheep! We reached out to customer service via email the first night after assembling. No response on Monday, but on Tuesday we heard back and apparently they have heard of this before (shocker). They RECOMMENDED baking soda, and then a product called bad air sponge. Tell me, please, why does a brand new product require bad air sponge? We tried airing it out in the California sun for 8 hours, then baking soda treatment for 8 hours, no luck. My 37 week pregnant wife and I slept on our old mattress that night, and regrouped. I finally got a hold of them on the phone. That's when the "no return" policy hit me straight in the pocket book. At one point in the conversation, I asked "Is this company a scam?" She only apologized and reassured me that "smell is very subjective." Realizing I was stuck with this material, I decided to try to wash the wool. I used an industrial strength cleaner and cleaned it in the bathtub. Nope, came out smelling worse than before. My running theory is that they are putting together the cheapest possible materials, using clever marketing, and a "no returns policy" to run an efficienct little scam. I don't know what's in our mattress cover, but it must be freshly shaven from a bacteria-ridden sheep or goat. It's gnarly. Trust me, stay away. I'll never get the money back. Now I've got to find a clever use of 200 lbs of latex mattress toppers. read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND.. 1st instinct upon receiving knew it would be problematic so did not remove pillow from wrap. Contact Customer Service, refused an exchange. Followed "customization" instructions, unzip & remove filling. Exactly as I feared, HUGE PROBLEM! little can be done, no matter how careful to avoid the incredibly stupid mess of crumbled bits of latex flying everywhere, sticking to skin & difficulty removing it from outside pillow & any other fabric it lands on! Never enjoy writing negative reviews but hopefully this will help in making a choice when spending $100 for a pillow. Unless they can devise another way to deal with the filling issue, the Savvy latex pillow is ridiculous. The 2nd star is for the quality & comfort being good if you can past the mess. read more

What can I say about Savvy Rest and their product and policies? First of all I don't often leave reviews unless something really exceeded my expectations or something was really bad. In this case it is a little of both. The customer service is very knowledgeable about their product and their product is of top craftsmanship. Everything arrived quickly and was neatly packed which made assembling the bed a breeze. As we tried to adjust the firmness to our liking we listened to customer service and tried not one but three different configurations which included ordering and returning different components. This caused a little confusion, we were under the impression that the charge to change components would be minimal but it was not as minimal as I would have thought for spending $2500.00 on a bed. After a fair amount of time trying the bed in several configurations it was evident that this bed just would not work for me. We contacted the company and did additional troubleshooting which included adding a memory foam topper which we had, this did not help. The problem is what I would call hard spots, for a side sleeper I continually would toss and turn all night because of hip pain. I communicated with customer service to inquire about a partial refund, understanding a full refund is not practical. Customer service addressed this and offered a suggestion that I purchase yet another component to swap, at the charge of $450.00. I was not ready to commit any additional funding based on all we tried and again asked for a partial refund. Customer service advised they offer no refunds, which to be fair is on their website. However, we purchased two beds and are satisfied with the one for my daughter, we were simply asking for a partial refund for the one bed which will not work for us. Savvy Rest is VERY RIGID in their no-return policy. For an item that is a significant financial commitment and you use for approximately 8 hours a day I would suggest utilizing a company with a reasonable return policy. We wanted an organic, made in America product which is what we got. The problem comes in the final outcome, I am not satisfied. I suppose that is why the bed in box companies with products from China are so popular, because of their generous return policy. Bought a $1500 Dormía queen mattress 10 years ago from Savvy Rest. We were told it was top of the line and had a warranty. The matteras has lost height, sheets are too big, and it's sinking in the middle. There isn't a way to flip it over. Called to inquire and sales girl immediately said "I haven't worked here but a year!" and was told Dormia not sold there any longer. I was welcome to come in and purchase a new Savvy Rest. The latex mattress was great it was the cover that stunk. I mean an odor that permeated sheets, blankets. I called the company and was told to put charcoal on the cover. As anyone every seen what a mess charcoal makes? For two years I put baking soda on the cover every time I changed the sheets and that helped temporarily but the stink kept coming back. So I've reached my 6 year anniversary of owning a savvy rest mattress and I felt now is a good time to write a review. This is a long review, but I believe it is warranted. Your mattress is one of your most important purchases as it can make or break how well you sleep and how you feel during your day. I was talking with a friend who mentioned he heard that latex mattresses sag. This surprised me and after reading online, it looks like some people have this complaint (even with all natural savvy rest mattresses). My configuration does not sag and I have not noticed any softening up over the 6 years of owning my mattress. So what did I buy? I own the serenity mattress, split California King made with dunlop latex. The configuration I have is firm / firm / soft and my wife has the same on her side. I purchased the savvy rest "boxspring" with wood slats to support the mattress. Why did I buy this mattress? I was sleeping on a memory foam mattress and it slept hot. I was also having back issues. My goal I was to find something that would support my back and not sleep hot. As I got into researching, I learned about chemicals used in most mattresses and decided I wanted to go natural. Back when I purchased, the market for Latex mattresses was not nearly as big as it is today. I had to drive 45 minutes to my closest savvy rest retailer to see the mattress for myself. The shopping experience was good. I was the only customer so I had plenty of time to go through all the configurations and decide what I wanted. It was hard to figure out what configuration worked best for me. Someone stopped into the store raving about how much he loved his mattress and that rave review got me to place my order. I think I got a couple free pillows and paid well over $1000 less than the retail price today (I can't believe how expensive these things have gotten). A couple of pointers when selecting a brand: The cover is important. A nice thick wool cover is worth the premium. Trust me on this, we have a cheaper brand natural latex mattress at our beach house and you can feel the latex through the cover. Savvy rest has a substantial cover and much better in this department. Type of latex. I have no experience with Talalay other than simply trying it out in the store. To me, it did not feel as supportive as dunlop. I know that is just my personal preference but I would suggest trying both natural Talalay and dunlop to see for yourself. My dunlop mattress has stood the test of time for 6 years, so I can endorse it. I can't endorse Talalay simply because I have not tried it. I can say that I can tell a difference between Savvy Rest's supplier (cocolatex) and another brands latex supplier. I prefer the cocolatex dunlop. It feels more supportive to me Warranty - Latex mattresses feel different vs a conventional innerspring. There is a chance you may not like it. Savvy rest offers a layer exchange program for a shipping fee but they don't have a no risk trial offer or anything like that if you need to return the entire mattress. This is one reason why I docked this company / product a star in my yelp rating. I think they can improve on this. My proposal would be a 10% restocking fee + shipping. I would guess like 1-5% of buyers would use this option and Id imagine this policy would attract new buyers. Wool - you should go organic, why risk a potential reaction to chemically treated wool? Before going through my suggestions for picking out the layers, here is a brief background on my selection / situation: So I'm around 200lbs, my wife is around 100. I have a herniated disc in my back. Its tolerable in most cases but I need to sit on hard surfaces for comfort. I need a firm mattress. My wife prefers a soft sleeping surface. We originally had a different firmness on each side. My wife went with medium soft soft. It turned out this was not supportive enough. We also didn't like how you could clearly feel where her half ends and my half begins as the two sides sat at slightly different elevations. We switched to firm firm soft on both sides. It is perfect for me and it works well for my wife (even though she would prefer a little more softness. I think part of the reason our mattress has held up so well is the firm bottom layers (I actually requested extra firm so they may be a little more firm than Savvy's standard firm). Advice- 1. Firm base layer is a must, strongly suggest firm second layer or medium if you are absolutely sure you like sleeping on a softer surface or you weigh under 150lbs. 2. Soft on top unless you like super super firm. I tried firm medium medium in store and it was very firm, I cant imagine firm, firm, firm would give you any pressure relief. 3. I really think the two firm base layers are needed for support if you are 200+ lbs like me. If the firm firm soft configuration is still too firm, try a topper. 4. Get the split layers. It gives you flexibility with changing layers, and it might help avoid sagging read more

This place has Organic natural latex mattresses. They can customize them for you so that each side can be right for each person, which is pretty good. We've slept on latex mattresses for many years and wouldn't sleep on anything else. These were a bit pricier than we had paid before, but they are organic and have very nice covers. And, the service here is excellent, everyone is super nice, and there was never any pressure on my multiple visits with questions. Purchased a 3-layer natural latex mattress here in 2012. Since then, mattress has developed a nearly 1.5" deep sag in the middle, despite regular rotating every six months. The first time I reported the (at that time) 1" sagging 18 months ago, I was told that in order for the warranty to kick in, it had to be 1.5" of sagging, not just 1". Now, anyone who's slept on a sagging mattress knows that a 1" sag in the middle is quite drastic and uncomfortable. Surely, one would expect more from a $3,000 mattress that is allegedly covered by a 20 year warranty. The last time I reached out to them, they turned me away again because my sag was one-eighth inch shy of the 1.5" warranty threshold. Ridiculous. read more

We bought the Savvy Rest latex foam mattress and organic sheets four months ago. My advice is to look elsewhere! The sheets are already pilling and have threads in the fabric coming loose. Shocking! The king mattress has a lump running down the center where the foam halves come together. It even shows when the bed is made. Not what we expected. Lots of money for inferior products. read more
