I cannot say enough good things about bouquet kennels. What…read morean absolute blessing it is to have a safe space for my Luna. We rescued Luna in February. And soon came to learn a couple of things about her. 1-she was a jumper 2- she has pretty severe separation anxiety. For the first couple of months, I took her almost everywhere with me. When I couldn't take her, there were times when I had to struggle to make arrangements for her. As mentioned with the jumping and the separation anxiety, the arrangements would have to be very specific. Making sure that it was with people I could trust. Which usually meant Family because they would be the most available. Well, when there was family events, it was even harder for me to figure out what I would do with her. I knew that a very close family friend regularly uses bouquet kennels. So I spoke with her about them. She said amazing things and highly recommended. So I reached out online and let me just say they were amazing from the beginning. Incredibly receptive and Patient especially with my many questions. I was able to get Luna in for an overnight within two days of first reaching out. Of course, when I came time to drop her off, I was incredibly anxious and worried about leaving Luna. That anxiety and worry started to fade the minute I pulled up and Jessica and Kayleah came out to greet us. Within minutes, I was secure a confident in the choice to bring Luna to Bouquet kennels. I was able to go and spend an entire day out with my family and not worry once. Of course, I thought about Luna and hoped she was doing OK but I didn't have to worry at all. I knew not only was she safe and secure, but she was being loved and cared for. When I arrived the next morning to pick up Luna, I was given a wonderful report about her. And again, I must stress that I knew Luna had had a great experience. In speaking with Jessica and Kayleah I learned that bouquet kennels accepts dogs of all temperaments. I think that's wonderful. I know that all dogs have different personalities and some of them are not as easy others. And knowing that there's a place that accepts those that aren't so easy is such a relief. Every pup should have a safe place to go where they will be accepted. I cannot recommend Bouquet Kennels enough. Needless to say, I will be using them whether it's for the day, overnight, or multiple nights. It is such a gift to have a wonderful safe space for my dog. Thank you Bouquet kennels!!

Most of us want to do a good thing and help a rescue and a poor animal find their new home and the new family. And to have a fluffy companion. I found a kitty on Petfinder that was listed by Forgotten Angels. It sounded a little sketchy that there is no business adress listed anywhere, only a PO box. I wonder how many cats can fit into a PO Box of average size? But whatever, as long as they have the cats, right? I immediately contacted them for detaiils and got an email with 5 page questionnaire that I filled and waited. Got a text to schedule an interview. The Interview was a military style interrogation on the answers I provided in the application form. I was hoping that I will be granted security clearance and a well paying military job with a retirement package, but apparently it was not the case. After promises to let me know the next steps, I got zero communication. I did not realize that this cat rescue is as popular as a Hollywood diva with too many followers and sending a follow up message is too much of a burden for them. I was Forgotten by the Angels of this rescue,  ghosted to never hear from them again. The cat I was interested in was removed from pet finder the next day. Was I catfished? I will probably never find out...

Cathy is amazing she helped with one friendly cat that came out of no where started making a home in my garage after 2 weeks searching for an owner and getting no responses Cathy made an appointment with her vet to check him out and see about putting him for adoption . I'm so grateful to her doing all that . She really cares about the cats ! I took a TNR class from Jerry and I learned everything I needed to know he also communicates very well when I need to email him . I've had really great experience with them . I hope the place can grow and one day they can open a wellness center that would be great but it will take donations for that to happen .

Basset Hounds are some of the most lovable dogs that you'd ever meet. They've been featured in…read morenumerous ads. Most people recognize them as the spokes-dog for the ever-so-popular Hush Puppies brand of shoes. Admirers are drawn to their short stature, droopy eyes, and long ears. The problem is that a lot of people aren't truly prepared for the amount of work that goes into raising and caring for a Basset. When families give up on these little guys, they often get dumped in the pounds and have very little time to get out alive! Thanks to the hard work of countless volunteers, many Hounds have been given a second chance at life. Daphneyland, aka The Basset Rescue Network is located in the city of Acton. The property is quite large, having 5 acres for Bassets to roam within a safe environment. Several runs house the dogs but often times, they run freely around the yard. Dogs that are going through cancer treatments are kept in the main home on the property. Special needs dogs in doggy wheel chairs still roam freely and continue to enjoy life. They all just kind of hang out and await that moment in which someone will take them home and love them forever. From what I was told, you don't chose your dog....it will choose you! We were chosen by quite a few Bassets today and it was overwhelming to say the least. To hear the backstories on some of these Hounds is absolutely heartbreaking! These were someone's pets, a child's best friend, or gift to someone who simply thought they were "cute". It's refreshing to know that the volunteers and staff at Basset Rescue Network are so devoted to these dogs. If they don't get adopted, then they get to live out the rest of their lives here. Anyway, if you go to Daphneyland's website, you'll fill out an application for adoption. They'll review it and then call your veterinarian for a reference. A volunteer will perform a home inspection and then they'll decide if a Hound would do well with your family. If you make it this far, then the hard part will be choosing which lucky Hound will live with you in its new forever home! While we are still in the application phase and don't know if we've found the perfect Hound for us, I am still so grateful for this experience. Interacting with all of these wonderful dogs for a few hours was absolutely amazing. There are many rescue organizations to choose from but this one seems to have their ducks in a row. It's well-organized, their heart is in the right place, they look out for the best interest of the dogs, and they will go the extra mile to rescue a Hound. If you're looking to add a lovable Hound into your life, reach out to the staff at Basset Rescue Network (Daphneyland). Whether you take one home or just come out to give them the attention that they need, you'll still leave feeling all warm and fuzzy inside.

Even after 14 years when we ask, "Want to visit the puppies!", he runs to the door wagging his tail. They are so loving and attentive to the dogs. Wilson happily goes through their doors without a leash, and often walks right back to the door to the play area. Over the years they've contacted me if they saw a sore, scrape, weird bump, itchy skin, not eating, not seeming like his usual self, or anything they thought we should know about. And they are EXTREMELY conscientious about health and vaccinations. 1. In 14 years Wilson has never returned home with a flea or illness. 2. Several years ago there was a new disease which dogs were catching and there was a newly released vaccine which WestLA Dogs sent information about, with a warning that without proof of vaccination dogs would not be admitted. It happened that we had to leave town for the weekend and they checked and found that Wilson had not yet had the vaccine. The ONLY way they would let Wilson stay was if he was sequestered in one of the single rooms with no access to other dogs. And we are probably the longest clients they have and they know Wilson as well as we do. BUT they were taking NO chances on exposing the other dogs. 3. They regularly send a reminder if a vaccine is due and check their records that the pup is up-to-date. I also love that if you just want to drop your pup for a couple of hours you can do so, or leave them for a longer time. I think the longest we've ever left Wilson is 2 weeks and he came home happy and relaxed - as though he had been on vacation, too.
