They did have a good selection in most areas, although I was let down with the bottled drinks selection in general, no staff on the shop floor which is something I dislike, especially in a store like this. 3* - Decent store, but I'll stick to their Manchester Arndale location nearby from now on!

Aisles and aisles of garden, kitchen, electronic and kids items are stocked here and I always make sure I pick up big packs of quality batteries here so as I don't run out. Don't miss out on their food and drink produce as you go in on the left - there's so many totally random imported items here but you can usually pick up say 3 cans on crazy pop for £1 which isn't bad at all in my book! Very friendly guys that run it too.

I sometimes feel so foolish to pay lots at supermarkets once you go to Home bargain. The shop is fairy big and lots of items are available. They always stock in something new so it is worth to pop in if you have time. The staffs are not that friendly or good customer service but you would not expect these kind of places that much...Fantastic place for credit crunch!

The store stocks budget, cheap brand name products from hair, beauty products, bird feed, very cheap art canvases, paint, garden accessories to food and booze. The shop is clean and well laid out. The staff are helpful but the queues at the till are usually long.

While it isn't the most modern of locations in terms of the interior and did seem to require a small refurb to match some of their newer branches, I always enjoy driving past this store on the motorway, it stands out and looks good. The product range in-store is generally pretty good, they have a great range of bottled sauces/dressings, Tesco Finest ready meals an average gluten-free selection. The staff seemed friendly enough. 4* - Pretty good Tesco store with a good selection and parking.

The store could have been clearer, I did notice tiny pieces of paper scattered across the floor, I'm not sure where that litter came from, some items didn't have price-tags or labels on which for a more discount type store, you wouldn't really expect as in a store like this which mainly offers items at a lower price, you'd expect to know what you were paying before you get to the checkout, especially considering this is one of the awkward stores with a one-way in, one-way out system, which has been in operation since even before the pandemic, where you exit through the checkout area. There are other similar stores nearby within the retail park or walking distance within Stockport town centre, which offer similar products at similar prices to this store, so it isn't anything new or unique compared to Poundland's, B and M's, even Wilko and the nearby supermarkets. 3* - They did have some good items, stock in some levels was depleted, worth a look in if you're within Stockport, but certainly not worth going out of your way for, I couldn't find the gluten-free selection which was advertised online sadly or even any space of where it would have been, so it wasn't just sold out, just not stocked.

You know Em loves her updates, peoples. I recently attended Stockport's Vintage Village which took place in these impressive Victorian Markets, and boy, are they attractive. Handsome. Like if they were a guy, I'd be giggling like a stupid schoolgirl while they spoke to me. And I'd probably accidentally snort or something. They lent themselves incredibly well to the whole retro vibe, especially those types at the markets who were selling and crafting cute little trinkets. First of all they're covered, which is great for our inclement Manchester weather (ooh, quick warning: do not refer to Stockport as part of Manchester to a Stockportian. Ever. Even 'Greater Manchester'. They'll practically beat you about the face with a handbag and give you the evils for the rest of the day), and they have underfloor heating. Er, bonus! Food was provided by the lovely Zip's Grill, an Australian affair that offers all kinds of tasty treats from their meaty bacon and egg butties and steak wraps to mezzes, soups and salads reflective of the proprietor's Aussie Greek-Cypriot background. Oh, and they have loads of different kinds of bread too. Double bonus. The stalls I saw marked out, closed obviously at the time due to the Vintage Fair, I was very intrigued by. Books! Triple bonus! And many others to boot. Anyway, thus ends my Scrabble-esque chat about Stockport's Market Halls. Now, if I could just find a cab driver who takes me right to the door instead of abandoning me on a drizzle-ridden pedestrian road with armfuls of Yelp goodies, that'd be just dandy.

We popped here while nipping to the regular Foodie Friday in Stockport (last Friday of the month -…read more6-9pm) and the old market does seem to be having a bit of a renaissance period. Ok so I may have had slightly rose tinted specs on due to me enjoying the fine fine food on offer outside but it really is a nice spot. In the week, it's open with a good mix of shops - all sorts of market grocers, butchers and a little cafe - plus some totally random shops and some real gems like High Peak brewing Co (go here for amazing beer from all around the world - amazing x464648!) On this occasion with it being FF, you could sit inside and take a load off, buy from some of the traders and even buy beer from High Peak to drink! A winner for me and great architecture to boot! Some great pubs like the Bakers are in the Market square too if you fancy getting your whistle wet!

The store wasn't particularly clean, the floor especially appeared cluttered and dirty, I also didn't like random stands in the middle of aisles, which made it much more difficult to pass through. The system around the store means it is impossible to cut through to get to where you want, so you're pretty much stuck having to go all away around the store, this meant I had to walk all away around to exit (as I didn't buy anything) due to where the tills were constructed, they were also so close to each other, meaning I struggled to pass, it would have been difficult and next to impossible for someone who would have required a wider bay due to health reasons. 2* - I much prefer Poundland, who have two branches in the town centre nearby.

Located on the A560, we're close to a large car park, as well as our own, so finding somewhere to pull up will never be an issue. You'll find parking available, but it is advised that you check for any restrictions or time limits before your visit. People coming by train have a bit more of a walk, as the closest station is Stockport Station. People arriving by bus can expect to hop off right outside the store, on the 322, 324, 325, 327, 330, 380, and 381, 382.

A decent Poundland location, strangely it is one of two in Stockport town centre (Is that really…read morenecessary?), this location is slightly smaller than their Merseyway location, but I do find this location on Warren Street, next to ASDA to look better in terms of interior/exterior and they also have a decent range of products (excluding clothing, which is only stocked at their Merseyway store) Most items seemed to be a reasonable price, some obviously were just the average price, especially in terms of confectionary compared to the supermarkets nearby and other nearby discount stores including Home Bargains. They do have self-service tills which is handy, which is common in most Poundland locations. They had a slightly better selection of beverages than the nearby Merseyway store, but I once again struggled to find my Lipton Iced Teas, which I was looking for. 3* - OK, many similar/slightly better stores just a couple of minutes walk away, it doesn't really stand out but isn't terrible.

Not a bad pound shop in the bustling Castle street of Edgeley…read more To be honest you can see why shops like Woolworths went bust with the emergence of the pound shops offering everything they did for a fraction of the price. This place is somewhere I regularly go to get everything from home stationery to cleaning products, storage, batteries and everything in between. Most things are a pound but they also stock more expensive items like lighting and basic furniture - why shop somewhere else and spend cash on overpriced household goods!?!

A good place to try on lots of dresses and grab a bargain!…read more This is a warehouse style wedding dress shop. You don't need an appointment, just turn up when they are open and ring the bell. You are given 4 rings and simply put them around the hangers of the dresses you like. You can then try on those 4 before going back out to choose another 4. The dresses are samples from shops so they generally only have 1 in each size and when they sell they are gone so be aware of this if you fall in love with one! It was moderately busy for 1130 on a Saturday. We got a changing room straight away though. One of the assistants helps you out when you get changed then she kindly suggested some dresses she thought would suit me as well and went to get them. They had some stunning things in my size. You are possibly a size bigger than normal here so beware when choosing! I could have happily bought 2 of the ones I tried on. The lady also helped me try on matching veils. Again I can't wait to go back and try on more dresses here.
