The prices have gone up SO much. I haven't gone in years and was so surprised to see the prices were as they are in stores. I even saw a kids shirt from target for a dollar more than at the store! This is not catering to those in need who shop second hand to save some money. If you're looking for low prices, go somewhere else. read more

It's a very organized thrift store and one of the cleaner ones. But honestly the prices are not thrift store prices. I literally picked up an item that's clearly from target and it has the 5 dollar tag in the back from target but they listed it at 6.99 so it's literally costing more than the original items and used. Even the clothing like jeans and dresses way over priced. I'm better off buying new or somewhere else. I will say if you just thrifting to thrift and for stainable reasons then this place is for you. But I like a good deal so I prefer not to pay higher prices. But again on the cleaner side and very organized. It's easy to see everything in this store so I will give it that. read more

I have shopped this Savers over the past ten years that I have lived in the area and have donated nice items and furniture dozens of times - to the point that the people working the donation center recognize me. I stopped in on my lunch break today to see if there were any good finds. I found a beautiful vintage sweater that I carried around with me since I didn't grab a cart. In the middle of the store, I was accused by a security guard of stealing and hiding a backpack under my vest (It is winter so I had a puffy vest on since it was cold this morning). I had to show otherwise and let the officer look under my vest, while the other employees continued to watch me through the store. The store was busy, so people noticed and it was extremely embarrassing. No one apologized. I've never stolen anything in my life. If someone needs to steal from a THRIFT STORE, we have bigger issues in this world and they are likely very in need. Meanwhile, other businesses let people run out with high ticket items and don't bat an eye. Apparently I can't show up in clothes for colder weather without being interrogated. I will not be returning after this incident. read more

Savers doesn't save. Yes, what all the reviews said before this were true. Also similarly true, went to donate yesterday. Walked up to the donation bins, 5 workers sitting and talking to each other. Zero acknowledgment and didn't tell me whether to drop my donations at the bins or to hand it over to them. So I just left them at the ramp. read more

I have to agree with reviewers that it's expensive. I did score on some cute San Miguel recycled glass 16 oz tumblers, not sure if they're authentic Starbucks, but decent shape, no cracks or scratches for $2.50 each. People selling them for a lot more on EBay. But everything else was a little too pricey for me. I'd still go back to look or treasure hunt. Wasn't much furniture when I went, but same thing as everywhere else, ass in seat of couch included with purchase. And bonus of people watching in all their habitat. I used to be a big fan of this place- no more! They decided during the pandemic to take out the dressing rooms. So even if you still have the tag on it, if for some reason it doesn't match a receipt you're screwed. If you took the tag off you're screwed. If you come back in more than two weeks you're screwed. If you spend $100 on clothes like I did you're probably regretting it. This place is no longer somewhere that I would come for fun there are better thrift stores that still have dressing rooms and better prices! From now on my donations will be going to the Mary Roberts animal center thrift store- just walking distance away on Magnolia and Van Buren. read more

Love this place. Found out about this place after living in Alaska. Around 2018. I thought it was a grocery store. But it's a thrift. Fun place. So fun I even got a job there. Loved finding lots of things. Only thing annoying is everyone and there grand dads thrifts. Resales so it's hard to find anything. But some days you find stuff. I'm a doll collector and I love looking for dolls. They bring me joy. So I come to savers from time to time. It was hard to thrift when I worked there just because they have a you can only buy something when it's been on the floor for two days. Which is annoying. But I have found some good stuff. I used to love this place. They always had deals and it seemed like just a generally nice & large thrift store. I've donated clothes a couple times, and they give you a coupon which is nice but that's not what this review is about. Recently there's been a decline in its comforting & community based experience. I'm aware that it's a chain and they don't owe you any kind of community-based experience. They no longer have cashiers, and it's all self checkout now. I'm not upset about that, but I know that many elderly folk are going to have a hard time--which are a big part of thrift store shoppers. It's full of teenagers. Thrift shopping is now considered trendy so I'm not surprised but it's off putting because you know all the good stuff is gone. Prices. $5.49 for a T-shirt at a thrift store feels illegal (Hyperbole). Keep in mind they are getting these items for free. I understand inflation and such, but you also have to remember that it's second-hand. I've seen clothes at Forever 21 or H&M new for cheaper. They also don't post their color-of-the-week anywhere. You have to ask if you want to know what it is. It feels like the charm of a cute thrift store with fun sales and nick-nacks has changed--like building a parking lot on top of a playground. What I can say that's positive is that it's a large thrift store, meaning you're more likely to find that little miscellaneous item you're looking for here than somewhere smaller like The Salvation Army. read more

Fun thrift store and probably one of the best ones around even though their prices have gone up!

Savers have a variety of things. I came here with my fiancé and future sister in law and we both walked out with some items. I ended up buying a few items. A pair of leggings for $6. Some tops ranging from $2-$5. I bought a pair of heels for $8. Their prices vary but the good thing is they sort out the sizes. Unlike Goodwill, they will put small with size small and you know the rest. It's easier for me to find my size without going through every single piece of clothing. I think the prices are pretty decent. You can find brand names, some designer from the y2k era if you get what I mean. They also carry Juicy Couture and other brands like Coach. If you search, you can find treasures. You also can find vintage items and furniture pieces. Find a day you want to spend an hour or so at this store. It's a great place to also kill sometime. You can find treasures for sure and you don't need a fat wallet to do so. I spend under $30 and found a lot of great items and clothing pieces. read more

I love this store. I just don't understand how people (Miriam V) complain about prices in a thrift store? . At the self check out customers are being watched to make sure the right price for an item is scanned. A Kate Spade purse does not cost $7.99, that means the price tag was switched, those purses usually are priced any where from $24.99 and up. I suggest start being honest with yourself and followers. Worker at checkout heavy weight with glasses older lady extremely rude and said every tag on the 8 items I was buying was wrong and they have to retag them to make them more expensive. I come here every Saturday and have never had this happen to me. Items are already donated and prices are high on some items but to purposely stop and re tag all items making them more expensive is ridiculous. Why would the items be tagged wrong to begin with ? I use to love coming here, but the prices are absolutely outrageous. There's no reason a plain white tank top should be more than 3 dollars. I've seen dresses from brands like shein,Ross for more than 17 dollars and in those stores they are cheaper than that! Once I even found a great deal and the employee checking me out was complaining because the price was to "low". Thrift stores are suppose to be sustainable options for low income it's crazy especially since they receive inventory for free from donations. I do not recommend. read more

This is a wonderful place to make donations of your previously loved items. Unlike other stores in the community who are picky about what they'll accept, Savers not only took everything but because of my handicap, they unloaded my truck completely them gave me my receipt of donation. I can't wait for them to re-open so I can do some shopping. Everyone there is nice and courteous. read more

First and last time here. Needed help at the register because I couldn't scan the QR codes on my items. Most of the barcodes were faded and were hard to read. I asked a young employee around my age for help. She, in a condescending way, told me to scan the barcode as if I hadn't tried that already. Then she left and made fun of me to her coworker just a few feet away :( I have a broken arm and was struggling already with my items. I'm not even angry, just sad and disappointed since I love these kind of stores :( read more

They have a lot of stuff, but they are overpriced, considering all the stuff is donated. Just a few dollars more, and you could buy some of the stuff brand new. I will say at least they will let you exchange clothes with a receipt within 14 days since you can't try them on there. read more

I don't think this Savers remembers it's a thrift store. There is absolutely no consistency in their prices other than it seems like they force their pricers to look every item up on online to see the maximum amount they should charge. Nearly everything is overpriced. I was in there today and a used exercise bike was $350, a used Loungefly Disney backpack was $50 (I found the exact same one in better condition at the Salvation Army down the street a month ago for $20) and don't even get me started on some of their outrageous clothing prices. Where other thrift stores will have systems such as "all short sleeve shirts $2.99 each" or "all dresses $4.99 each", Savers prices every clothing item individually (after looking up their resale value obviously) and it's just mind blowing when you consider that by nature of being a thrift store, their primary consumers are likely people unable to pay those kinds of prices or people who are looking to save money. Just because something has a well known brand tag does not mean you get to charge original sale price. These are donated used items with various amounts of wear and tear but you wouldn't know it by Savers prices. I have often found hard goods here that are in their original packaging with their original price tag still on them but for some reason the Savers price tag is even higher. I have seen items I know for a fact were from the dollar store marked up to several dollars or more. Used candles marked at original retail price just because they're Yankee or Bath and Body Works brand. It's absurd. Before the pandemic, Savers prices were good reasonable thrift store prices but since then, they act like they're a chain retail store selling brand new things. Save yourself money and go to the Salvation Army down the street or the Veterans thrift store a few blocks over. read more

What's the point of hiring people to do nothing but stand around and give demands to customers on how to ring things up, where to stand, and what not to touch. Not one register open! A great place to go thrifting with staff that will steal your heart! I've been thrift shopping here for years, and even in the pandemic it's a great shop. The staff is great about following and enforcing COVID restrictions in the store. 6/12/24 today I was at check out and normally I don't have any issues but today as I was scanning the machine didn't pick up items which I didn't notice and to be specific an employee name "GINA" Came to help at least that's what I thought. Little did I know I would have felt accused of stealing from this lady as she stood telling me that i had "more items not scanned then scanned" which is completely wrong when she had my recipes in front of her going through each item. She said we had two missing items and started handling the goods purchased aggressive and made a clip break off something I had purchased. I was upset because of the accusations and aggressiveness that was given. I didn't run out with items didn't say I wasn't going to pay for em. She then visibly got upset because I wasn't happy with the service of this person and went to say "I can get the manager" on me like as if I was trying to steal. AGAIN two accusations I should of told the manager on her. The manager didn't even look out way or say a word. Definitely don't think this person should be in the front if they can't handle themselves professionally or emotionally. Please consider re-training or retail classes. Compared to the Salvation Army on Magnolia? This place is the Ritz. This Savers store blows away the La Mirada and Anaheim Savers stores as far as size. I was shocked at how big it is. The housewares section is nice and has much less useless junk in it than your average Salvation Army or Goodwill. Cute vintage stuff like dishes, vases, tins, or candleholders abound. I noticed quite a few 80's country goose decor and kitchen items. When the hipsters decide geese are "in" instead of owls, this is the place where they should come. My major beef with this store: the children's clothing area is really in trouble. It is only organized by "boy" and "girl" and the pants on the bottom. There is no rhyme or reason to the organization of the clothes, and that's a huge problem because the sheer amount of clothing is insane and you feel like you will never find what you need. The store really needs to divide the clothing by size, because it makes no sense to try and find the size you need in this mess. The clothes are well-organized for adults, but searching for a size 9 months in racks that have everything from newborn to size 5 years, it's like a tiny needle in a freaking haystack. That said, you can sometimes find very nice Old Navy, Gymboree, Baby Gap, and Children's Place clothes here. It is clean and not very rowdy or crowded compared to other area thrift stores. Savers employees are friendly and helpful and generally available to help you in my experience. They have never done me wrong. On some holidays, like Memorial Day, Martin Luther King Jr, Labor Day, all clothes are 50% off. Check their website. The Anaheim Savers is popular because of their Yelp Check-in that allows you 20% off your purchase, this store needs to implement that! It will help people who search for deals nearby find the store. The only reason more ppeople are not here is, no one knows about the store or what it is yet. Organize kids' clothes by size and 20% off check in deal, and I would give 5 stars! read more
