Pricing is extremely high. It's worse than eBay prices. 12-15 per bag of LEGO or little toys is crazy.

I've never been so embarrassed in my entire life! Tonight, I rang up my items as usual, everything rang up as priced. when I went to exit, the store manager tonight, a white male, (8/16) said excuse me, you did not pay for that crock pot. clearly I did & he sat and watched us ring up every item. he even assisted with the ring up! THEN I was accused of changing the pricing on my crock pot, as it was stickered $3.99 houseware! He then took my receipt and walked 3 ft & turned & said This is $19.99, do you still want it? NO! why, when you won't even honor the sticker priced. found it in the housewares dept with Tupperware & misc pots & pans. my cousin worked here for many years, until he passed from Epilepsy. I always have supported Epilepsy, but after being accused of stealing- FROM A THRIFT STORE, none the less, I won't be back! read more

An unusually aggressive young woman came by at 8:59 and told us the store was closed and that we would have to go to the register now to "process -[our] transaction." I understand store closing hours, but this was not the normal way any business should operate ... normally, even an unpretentious business like a thrift store would make an announcement at the hour and then the clientele would shuffle dutifully to the registers. The closing hours had been announced previous to the cutoff - we were aware. Treating us as if we were fools or had violated some binding contract by not already being checked out was low class - even by thrift store standards. read more

Neat little thrift store where you can find a wide array of stuff - always keeping in mind that one person's junk is another person's treasure. This place also acts as a donation center where you can drive up and drop off most anything you do not need anymore. So it does the whole cycle - drop off and resell. Monday's seem to be the best day here. We drive by in the morning and there is always a line outside. This is because the weekend donations are all laid out in the roomy showroom, and Monday's are half-price on everything in the store. So if you are in the mood for looking through the large selection of clothes and other items, give this place a try. read more

Haven't been here in awhile since they installed the self checkout lanes. Today 6 self checkout lanes were open along with 2 employee checkout lanes. The self checkout sure slows up the process because people are trying to sort through their merchandise, find the sales tag and then scan the tag. Today the line was 50 people deep!! Are you kidding me?! It took more then 20 minutes to get to a register. Also, they have really raised their prices recently. It's not worth the time, effort or aggravation to shop here. Wow. What a joke of a business. Way to lose a donor! I went to bring some donations here and even though I had a big box full of things I was told "it didn't weigh 30 pounds" and therefore I didn't "earn" my 20% off coupon. Since when did they start weighing free inventory to deem it worthy of a coupon of not?? The female managers here are nasty people as well. Unfair customer service. I was not helped at the jewelry counter until a "regular" walked up... to which then they helped her first after I had been waiting several minutes. I expressed my unappreciation and the manager said condescendingly "well I don't appreciate your comments." Sorry - but I spoke TRUTH and don't appreciate your favoritism!!! Everything in this store is department store prices anyways and they don't leave many treasures to be discovered thanks to them comparing online prices to their FREE and donated inventory. Taking my donations elsewhere for now on. I suggest all reading to do the same. read more

Awww this store used to be so great, I had a decent share of great finds from here but now it doesn't feel worth coming anymore. The best and most memorable purchase from this store is when I bought that vintage 286 laptop on Monday last summer, was in great shape and came with everything for a good price, I haven't seen anything like that before and it was worth coming there that morning. I even remember when this store had old computers for sale I used to buy one or two of them each visit and work on them (I restore and work with computers as a hobby)... Now the bad, first obviously this store used to be very cheap, comparable if not cheaper to Goodwill's prices. Now the prices pretty much tripled even quadrupled than what it used to be.., the Self-checkouts here is a main issue of this store, They all have problems at times, and my issue is one works as a Cash only machine, I had to wait 20+ minutes to pay with cash since my card is not working at the time..., ridiculous, all registers should accept cash. I rather have the old cash registers back and have at least three to four lanes open, one time I waited in line for 45 minutes because only one lane was open (I think it was in October of last year. Oh well, this store was great while it lasted, but it's best now to go to a nearby goodwill or go on eBay for comparable prices and finds. Not until these issues get resolved. read more

This location recently reopened with new changes to the layout to make it safe and socially distanced! They also have changed their rewards program since I last came a few years back and this program gives you more opportunities to save additionally. read more

Prices are really high considering that they get their inventory FOR FREE! Thrift stores are now picked over by kids with tons of money, as well as boutique and online resellers. These people are the reason why thrift stores are so expensive now. They buy it all up and sell their finds on resale websites like posh mark. It's defeating the entire purpose of thrifting, and what thrift stores are there to provide. Thrift stores used to be a place where the unfortunate of our society, people with less means could still buy things for everyday living. Clothing, cooking materials, furniture. It's not for them anymore. It's now for the rich kid that wants something "vintage" although by definition, nothing they buy ever is "vintage" then they resell it on some platform and make profit. It's really kind of sad. While I understand the full circle of recycling clothing, this is not the way to do it. Savers used to have great prices. Now they are just like everyone else. They have raised their prices so much over the years while taking away changing rooms, the discount tag color per day, and changing the return policy to only clothing items for an even exchange. They took away all the perks except for 50% off Mondays (if you are a member) which doesn't even feel like a deal most the time anyways because the prices are unreasonably high for a thrift store. Goodwill was always the more expensive thrift store, but now they have the cheaper prices and they even have changing rooms. I have found many items at savers with the original store tag still on and the savers price is more expensive. It's ridiculous. read more

I came here because I was in need of updating my wardrobe. This place has such a great emporium of clothing for men, women and children not only that but they also sell knick knacks, books, toys, furniture, various miscellaneous items. The prices and fashions are much more better than a salvation army store. I mentioned I only came here for clothes but I was so occupied by this place shopping around I ended up buying more than what I wanted and it wasn't just clothing. Some issues are that the lines are pretty long depending on when you go there and it could be hard to find a sales associate when shopping for help. read more

I've been coming here since it opened a couple of years ago.... For a thrift store, Savers is bright, shiny, and extremely clean. There are no typical bad smells or possible "critters" crawling around. BUT, the store is practically always near empty. This store is LARGE, but there is usually no more than 5 to 10 customers shopping in this store at one time. ... So what's the problem here? There is no daily Color Tag Specials!!! And, the PRICES ARE HIGH !!!! Today, there was a Black North Face Bubble Coat (with a small rip in the sleeve) for $150!!! And, I have seen a set of simple gold Dining Chargers for 4 for $9.99.... Way too expensive for this Thrift Store Queen! Needless to say, I love Thrifting, so I still stop by this Savers once a month. Again, you never know what you may find. Plus, there are coupons for $3 off of a $10 purchase when you donate. Additionally, there is a "Hero" donation card, which you earn stamps to fill 6 spots that start at 5% off and lead to 30% off. The card expires at the end of the year. Savers is a good place to shop for Halloween though. They have a huge selection of new and used items. read more

Holy smokes this place is overpriced! Bleached stained top for $9.99? Raggedy boots for $12+?? And half of these aren't even name brand! One piece of clothing will be a decent price, then a similar item will be double if not triple that! Wouldn't be surprised half the knick-knacks are priced higher than its original retail value. I mean, half the stuff here is junk, the other half is "ok". But regardless of it all being second hand, these prices are ridiculous. Even Goodwill is better than this place. Either hit up the Salvation Army, Plato's Closet, or a yard sale. Anywhere but here if you want a deal. These people are greedy money suckers to be calling themselves a thrift store. I first started getting into Savers during my community trip with my friends and teachers last year in February, I highly recommended if I usually come visit there to buy any of Videos, DVDs, glass, instruction and chapter books, and much more! My favorite spot for thrifting!! I've been going here for YEARS, and while I do thing the prices have gone up, I think this is significantly due to the fact that this store has been receiving more high end items that are donated. All my experiences with the employees have been pleasant and the store is kept in an orderly matter. I much prefer savers over any goodwill, and I highly recommend to come try shopping at the store as well. read more

The store is very clean unlike typical thrift stores. You'll find some good items for a decent price. Although somethings were just over priced, but they do offer deals. For example this coming Saturday April 7, 2018. They have 50% off on everything. I believe also every Monday. My biggest problem, is that I went and found some window treatments, they came as a deal all 11 panels for $35. Which is okay.... But if you only need for example 8 panels, they won't sale them to you. They weren't anything special, not costume made. Just normal clear curtains. The Manager said they had to keep them as a set, although I couldn't find 11 panels because 2-3 had different prices. Meaning they were sold individually. Don't think I would go back and not because of that. Just isn't a lot of items to pick from, mostly clothes. read more

One of my favorite resale/thrift stores. When you donate, you get a 20% off coupon and donations benefit the Epilepsy Foundation. You can also get discounts with a Savers Club Card and shoppers over 55 get a discount on Tuesdays. Recently on Labor Day, all clothing and bed and bath was 50% off so I'll definitely be coming around during holidays! This store is very big and very clean. Savers reminds me of a "better" Goodwill. Of course, you do need to hunt, but treasures can definitely be found. I almost always find something here. I've found brands such as Zara, H&M, Forever 21, LC Lauren Conrad, Ann Taylor, to name a few. I've also spotted designer purses behind the jewelry counter before. I have been to 2 other Savers locations in the Chicagoland area and this one is pretty much up to par with the other ones. I'd have to say that this location is a bit more spacious and more "untouched" than the other ones I've been to. It's kind of tucked away on a little strip next to a Charter Fitness about 2 minutes away from Orland Park Square. I came there midday on a Friday and there weren't many people there at all. At least compared to the Downers Grove and Naperville locations. I was able to find a lot of good books and some nice knick-knacks. Some of the clothing was outrageously priced ($12 for an outdated and seemingly shrunken J. Crew sweater? No thanks). But I think this is a common occurrence at thrift stores lately. I've seen questionably priced items at the other locations as well so this isn't something to complain about at this singular location. Though, you will find some nice designer items every so often, and in good condition too. You just have to look around and know what is worth the money and what is not. Overall it is organized, clean, and doesn't smell of mothballs. read more

Large inventory but the prices seem to be constantly going up. Some of the clothes are priced so high that for a few more bucks you could just buy new. Purse and shoes are really overpriced for worn items. Wish they would price items lower. They do have a half off day but prepare to wait in line for a half hour. read more

This store has a lot of great finds. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The manager Liz is great. She always has a smile on her face and acknowledges you. The store is really busy on Mondays due to the sales yet the staff do the best to keep the lines going fast. Place is mostly neat unless customers mess it up. The bathrooms are clean. Never shopping here again!!! I was absolutely disgusted at how I was treated today. I had found a pair of Chaco sandals priced at $3.99 and a Lululemon crossbody bag priced at $4.99. When I went to pay the cashier kept inspecting the shoes and she quickly ripped the tag off and discarded it. and I asked her if there was something wrong with them. She then refused to sell me the chacos because apparently they are "expensive shoes" and priced Incorrectly. She stated that the tag had been changed and I was in complete shock because there was nothing wrong with the tag it didn't look like it was falling off or like it had been tampered with. The shoes were just put out on the floor today because they were BLUE Tag all blue tags were brand new items being put out!! I literally had just found them a couple feet away from the registers!! The cashier was being so snarky and made me feel like I was the one who changed the tag. I asked to speak to a manager and she pointed at herself... I was just so disgusted at her attitude. I was so upset that I pointed out that the bag was a LULULEMON BAG AND IF THAT WAS PRICED INCORRECTLY TOO. To which she replied "you can have that..." She was so concerned about NOT selling me the shoes that she charged me twice for the Lululemon bag! When I went back in to get my refund for being over charged, I explained to the new cashier everything that happened. She literally put her hand up as if to dismiss me and walked away to call someone else! They wanted to verify on camera that I had not been stealing!!! How disgusting!!! Over $4.99. Had I been a white woman this would have never happened to me. I felt humiliated by all three cashiers who were there! If the items being sold at this store "ARE SO EXPENSIVE" then why not keep them behind the counter or mark them with a sharpie like all thrift stores do. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. read more

Last week I decided to stop in. I had to use the restroom and the first stall I entered had feces smeared all over the toilet. The second one had urine soaked toilet paper all over the floor. I was pissed because I stepped on some of it. The third one was not much better but I had to go. So I did a hover over. Upon finishing up one of the employees was about to exit and I said to her... this restroom is DISGUSTING!!! She said, "what do you mean?" Are you kidding me?!?! Now one of two things could play into her reaction... She either knows and her give a damn is broken... Or she keeps a filthy home herself. After I asked her if she's in the same bathroom as I am and told her about the feces smears and soiled soaking urine wads of toilet paper she brused me off with a " I'll tell my manager". Lastly the prices are way to high for second hand items that look second hand. Some of the prices I've noticed are higher than in regular retail stores. Just NO!!! read more

I'm not too knowledgeable about Savers thrift store. Meaning, I don't have a history of thrifting here. So upon entering the store later this evening, though the selection of items are vast, which is nice, I've discovered that the prices for the clothing are a bit pricey for thrift store finds...like $12.99 for a shirt that does not look semi-new(faded, balls of lint)but because it's Liz Claiborne or Ralph Lauren Savers is implying the cost of the item is justified. Also, one of the most important things that I find to be very unfavorable about Savers in Orland Park, IL. Is their customer service. After searching for an extensive amount of time in such a big store, for reasonably priced items that interested me, I went to try them on but to my dismay the fitting room was locked. I inquired about my concern with a store associate, he causally replied, "The dressing room locks when the store is closed. " I asked him why didn't the store announce a courtesy call simply stating the fitting rooms will be closing please if you desire to try on any items come to the front. Thank You!(remember I'm a newcomer to the store I am not aware of the policies) He said, "No, we are not suppose to do that. REALLY??? You can't at least make an exception for a customer or direct me to a Manager?! Savers just lost a potential customer due to poor service. How disappointing. 1 star. read more

WOW is this place super over-priced for second hand, used merchandise. WHY would I pay $17.99 for a pre-worn dress, when I can go to Walmart or Target and pay the SAME amount?? NEWSFLASH! I love checking out the newest thrift store and I'm glad I checkout this one. I used to go to the local salvation army store in bridgeview but compared to Savers it is awful. Savers has a lot of good deals. It is clean, well organized and has good priced items. The Savers staff checks all items to see if they work before putting them on the shelf. I love the 2 walls of bagged things. They have one wall to the left with clear bags filled with office and home decor things and the other back wall is filled with girl and boy small toys. (perfect for any teacher looking to fill their prize bucket.) The clothes are nicely organized my size and the sizes are easy to see on the items. The tags are nicely printed unlike salvation army where you need to decipher every price tag. When you leave the Savers store you don't feel like you have to hose yourself down and I had no problem sitting on the floor to sift through the book section. You always find a surprise here. I was able to get $50 worth of new office supplies like photo printing paper, glue dots, labels, etc. for $12. They have good sales here too, on tuesdays people over 55 get a percentage off and you get 20% every time you donate something. If you like going to garage sales this is the place for you. read more

Visited this store on a Sunday afternoon. Not very crowded. Large selection, fairly organized. Prices on clothing went from reasonable to totally outrageous. Shoes were very overpriced as well. Likely will not make the 40 minute drive again any time soon. read more
