I went back FINALLY yesterday and found so many amazing bargains (bring a donation and get a 20% off up to $100 purchase)~ I found everything from boots, to winter jackets, to a cute hat, new scarves, new warm winter sock-slippers, spring/summer dresses, my new beach towel for the summer, a bunch of new tape cassettes for the tape deck in my car, a few old cool sports magazines and a brand new comforter for my bed! I'm a new lover of Savers. These days it's challenging to find used housewares which are easily accessible & priced to sell. I've found that most consignment/thrift store (some call themselves 'vintage' or 'antique' stores) prices are comparable to buying very similar things, brand new at places like Homegoods, Marshall's & TJ Maxx. Savers stores are spread out across the state(s) but the 2 I frequent (Manchester & Newington) never fail to reveal at least one great find for an unbelievable price. I'm shopping for a used filing cabinet & came across these cute vanities for great prices. This location seems to have fewer 'finds' than the one in Newington & Outfitters Thrift Store but it's still a great place to shop! read more

We helped participate in this group for a fundraiser. Our group has some people who are with vision limitations and or blind. Im aware of limited exposure to this group by the company but seriously needed to be aware of different obstacles instead of what they thought worked for them. Over the years I have gotten some cool finds but you need to dig deep. It has never been worth my time to go through the records. There is almost always a large selection of plates and cups if you need that. Lots of games. I think prices in general are fair, although i can't find a nice shirt for under $15 which kind of defeats the point of buying used. Furniture, has been a miss for me for the past 3 years. Usually a lot of people here shopping. With the automated registers there are more and more people up front 'working' that really aren't doing anything. You can find a random good deal sometimes but overall it's overpriced. Sometimes there are video games which is cool, and their media section is pretty fair. Along with dishes, which are always fairly priced. Clothes-wise, pants can be affordable (6 dollars to 12) but shirts are crazy expensive. More affordable than Goodwill, however. read more

Prices are insane! Scratched up non-stick pots and pans for nearly as much Clothes priced to nearly new prices in the department stores. These are flea market items that you would pay $.25 to a few bucks for even a couple years ago. A couple coin banks new in box at prices higher than eBay! As a senior I sent to Savers on Senior Day to pick up a few bargains. There was something I wanted but wasn't priced. I asked someone and they said they'd get a manager to price it. When she came over she said "I can't price that because I'm too busy." She turned around and went back to the counter. I watched her from the clothes rack for about 10 minutes; she was on her phone, talking to other girls that worked there... doing everything BUT working. When I went back to her and asked her to speak to another manager or someone above her rank she said, "Nobody want to talk to you." She refused to get someone to talk to me. This particular location has some of the best selection when compared with similar businesses in the area. Although some may find the pricing to differ from their sister stores in Nashua and Portsmouth (technically Newington, but who's counting?), I've found that it accurately reflects the value of the individual item, and they've always been willing to review them if there's a disagreement. Moreover, the staff in this location seem truly engaged in the business's stated mission, which is a nice change from *cough*Goodwill*cough* and *cough*Salvation Army*cough* which seem to abuse their non-profit status to ill ends. If you're choosing to donate, this is the right place to do it without having to be concerned about your impact. Negatives? Well, due to it's very nature, the store itself may appear to some to have a disorganized, shabby appearance. Housekeeping in the facilities portion occasionally falls below their radar, but when mentioned is typically addressed promptly. Front end staff have been known to be distracted, and this can occasionally lead to less than exemplary service. But let's be honest here- all in all, it's a decent trade for the value. Where do I start? Savers before the pandemic . . . 50% off sales for all the holidays on clothing, shoe, accessories, bed & bath. Now, sometimes it's 30% Savers gave donation receipts. Not any more. Print one online yourself. How's that for lack of customer service? Savers gives a 20% off and a $2/$5 discount when you donate. You used to be able to use both together in the same purchase my local store. That ended about 3/1/23. Prices have approximately doubled since the start of the pandemic. Most jeans are now $13.49 and $16.99. Used to be $7.99 or less. LED candles were generally $1.99. Now they are $2.99, $3.49 & $3.99 Dressing rooms? The store used the pandemic to get rid of them. Now it's buy and try it at home? It doesn't fit? Well, you get to use the item cost to you after any discounts, toward another purchase but only within 14 days. No returns on items except clothes and shoes. The item doesn't work? You paid for trash. Refunds? Not quick and easy. While you used to be able to use a $2 off $5 coupon on a return, now, the net amount after the return is deducted must be $5 or more. What does that means? It means I was essentially offered $1 credit toward a pair of jeans when the item I was returning cost me $3 because, you guessed it, the net price after the return was subtracted was just under $5 and coupon no longer applied. *** Watch what you buy*** I bought item that I didn't see the hole in when I bought it, but got it home and had to bring it back. I was told it should not have been put on the floor because of the hole. But guess what, the day after I returned it, it was back out there for sale again. The help? Not friendly like they were. You can tell people there are not happy. When I asked for the store manager, I was pointed to a girl in her early 20s who obviously had zero customer service skills. It's a real joke. Also, customer is charged for bags. Remember too that Savers is not a not for profit. I guess that's pretty obvious in the way it pinches pennies from customers. Conclusion: Savers has much better selection than the other thrift stores, but is really not a consumer friendly store. Prices have gone way up, discounts have gone way down, dressing rooms are gone, return policy is really poor, and customer service is highly lacking. If you go there, be sure what you buy works and will fit you, but at this store, its customer beware. read more

I seek out thrift stores in every city that we visit. You never know what goodie you will find. This Savers was all into their Halloween items for sale. The store had a huge collection. I found the store to be neat and clean. The prices were a little on the high side for my taste. (I think that is happening all over though.) The Savers store next to the Fox Run Mall in Newington is much cleaner, better stocked, and more appropriately priced. There's something for everyone and the quality of goods is higher. It's not as conveniently located as Manchester (which I'd be hard-pressed to ever visit again for many of the same reasons as other reviewers), but it's easy to make a stop there on the way to or from the beach. read more

This is your typical Saver's: overpriced, messy, children running around unattended, one register open with a monotone cashier ringing you out. I just don't understand their pricing system. I went there today and they had a Carter's polo shirt for $10...I can buy that SAME exact shirt brand new at Babies R Us for the same price! Seems that whoever is pricing the clothes has no idea what brands are higher end. They seem to price all the Carter's clothing more than anything else (especially the pajamas, what is with them pricing used Carter's pajamas at 6.99?!)This has worked out to my benefit a few times because I have gotten some nice Hannah Andersson pajamas for 5 bucks a piece. This is a pretty legitimate store. I have experienced some downright sketchy sales clerks at other savers, but so far the cashiers here have been decent. The store is fairly big, and i think it is better than the one in nashua. The one in nashua has a lot more dated stuff, their store may appear big but a lot of the slots are empty. You can definitely find some treasures here if you look hard enough. Overall, savers are cleaner and better organized than goodwill. I go here only so often. Halloween is pretty good but the prices for costumes are about as expensive as Party City or Spirit Halloween but less quality. You can find pretty good accessories there like I did purchase a Harley Quinn wig yesterday that actually isn't bad. I took it apart and had to fix the hair and spray it to look almost natural but not bad. For other clothing, the prices are ridiculous. I find better deals at my favorite stores in the mall. I'm mixed here. They have much higher quality items than goodwill. But they are much more expensive. They have good sales and discount cards when you donate. Overall a good place to get clothes and random things. Gotta watch those tags though. You'll love a dress and than the tag says $20... it's thrift, not consignment... Each time I give this location a chance I completely regret it. The workers are so very mean spirited it ruins the whole vibe. I was really appalled when I was told I wasn't allowed to use the restroom, I am six months pregnant. I am 24 and do not expect special treatment so I get it. But the reason I am writing this is because after I asked and was denied a women with a walker at least 80 years old was told she couldn't use the restroom either. I felt a sudden urge to stick up for her but I will never be a difficult customer. I think seeing 90% of there customers are elderly it is disgusting they give the bare minimum in everything they do. Do better and be kinder. So sad the way they treat such loyal kind customers. read more

Kristen that had lovely blue hair and glasses dismissed me several times once I had stated, I was making a return and saw several other people before addressing my concern. When attempting to process the exchange. She informed me that there was only 15 days that could be done and pointed out the receipt in the small, fine print. I informed her i was never informed of their policy and I am partially blind she dismissed me again by repeating herself, stating it is on the receipt handing the receipt to me. I asked if something was wrong as I told her that I felt she was being disrespectful and she told me I was being rude "and started it". She then told the other cashier that "she can take care of my issue as she is not dealing with me anymore". I don't know if she is thinking I am someone else, but this is not the way to treat a customer whatsoever. I am very dissatisfied and this needs to be addressed. She has great hair but not the greatest attitude. I hope she was just having a bad day and that I am the only one she acted this way towards because no one deserves to be treated that way I truly hope things get better for her. read more

I LOVE Savers. My family and I visit this store frequently and always find some amazing treasures. My kids enjoy buying books from their large book section (always buy three get one free I believe). We have a huge collection of boardgames from Savers as well, including some harder to find favorites from when I was a kid! There is a ton of clothing to look through. I have found brand new clothes, with tags on them still, for a fraction of what they would have originally cost. As another reviewer said, there isn't a huge furniture selection. Typically some chairs, a dresser or two, and other smaller furniture items. I did find a large wardrobe there though and some various children's chairs that are a great addition to my home. The store itself is decently organized and pretty clean. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Overall I definitely recommend checking this place out if you like thrift stores! read more

Savers is still as good as it gets in terms of Thrift shops. I shop here numerous times a month and absolutely love the price to quality ratio. I've never had a bad experience here. Many times I have been able to find numerous items that i snatched up in a heart beat. Great store if you can go in fairly often and not need a specific item. I have found great gently used or brand new clothes here. I use both punch card saving options. One is punched as you spend money there, the other is punched each time you donate items. Also 30% off on Tuesdays for 55 and older shoppers. I do agree that many of the items I've seen hanging on the wall are overpriced. Many of them I have seen at the $ store and are sold or resold for more here. I have always had excellent customer service here. When I pull up to the drive thru drop off they come down to help me. When someone inside cant answer a question they have gone to find the answer or another employee that could answer my question. They all seem happy to be there and happy to help. Savers is a for profit company that gives a little to charity. They started out in this area having some good bargains in well kept stores. In the last few months prices have jumped to a level that there is little motivation to go there or to donate to them. If they are not running a big sale, I would not bother. I love Savers. I was surprised to see so many complaints about the prices. I will brake for a thrift store, consignment shop, whatever, anytime, anywhere, and have been doing so for years; prices have gone up everywhere. Savers is still perfectly reasonable, and, as opposed to Goodwill, the quality is quite good ("Goody's" is becoming infamous for stained, pilly clothing at jacked up prices). The staff has always been polite and friendly and the store is clean. There are good discounts to be had if you sign up (free) or donate (20 to 30 % off your total) so that should help if you don't like the prices. Definitely worth a drop-in. read more

Pricing is out of control! The manager of the store is obviously on a power trip or something! The last time I checked all items are donated so you would think the prices actually reflect that of a true thrift store. NOPE not even close, used beat up items matched to what is found on eBay! When considering pricing items this way, just because it sold or someone is asking a certain price for something, no way should it reflects it's value. Maybe the item on eBay was mint and the item at savers is used badly, or vice versa, your price can't reflect it. Loved this super thrift store. Probably my favorite thrift store i've ever been to, better than Plato's Closet, which doesn't have vintage clothes like this store. Had a wide variety of things ranging from Jackets to belts to activewear to cookware to shoes and so much more. You can find pretty much anything here and the selection is huge. The cashier was a bit slow at checking out, but I didn't mind since the employees were still nice and helpful. Definitely coming back again for more vintage clothes. read more

The store is not even as nice as Goodwill, but with prices that are ludicrously high. I have seen several items with original price tags still on them, where the Savers price was higher than the listed price! The only time that you end up with good deals is when they have clearance sales, and even then you would do better at the FIT store or possibly Goodwill.
