Cute 'low profile'/kids vanity (with seat) for only $15.99
    Anna T.

I'm a new lover of Savers. These days it's challenging to find used housewares which are easily accessible & priced to sell. I've found that most consignment/thrift store (some call themselves 'vintage' or 'antique' stores) prices are comparable to buying very similar things, brand new at places like Homegoods, Marshall's & TJ Maxx. Savers stores are spread out across the state(s) but the 2 I frequent (Manchester & Newington) never fail to reveal at least one great find for an unbelievable price. I'm shopping for a used filing cabinet & came across these cute vanities for great prices. This location seems to have fewer 'finds' than the one in Newington & Outfitters Thrift Store but it's still a great place to shop!

    Overpriced.....

Terrible. No fitting rooms. wasted a 30 minute drive for this and the selection is not that great. Don't waste your time.

Jewelry is extremely overpriced - they think they are a jewelry store and not a "THRIFT" shop.

This savers has a huge selection of stuff. I give this 4 instead of 5 stars because some of the items are really high priced.

I will brake for a thrift store, consignment shop, whatever, anytime, anywhere, and have been doing so for years; prices have gone up everywhere.

The inventory was mostly heavily worn clothing, older furniture, and random odds and ends. We spent some time looking around but didn't find a single thing worth buying. The experience itself didn't help. There was a dog barking before we even came through the door. As we walked toward it, the dog was shut in a bathroom, and I overheard a comment suggesting it only reacted after seeing me. Since it had already been barking before I entered, that struck me as an odd and unnecessary thing to say. The front door was left wide open, and while browsing I was bitten by a flying insect inside the store. I ended up with welts afterward. I know bugs can happen anywhere, but it definitely wasn't something I expected while shopping indoors. The store also felt surprisingly loud and cramped. Between the barking dog, conversations carrying throughout the shop, and the tight layout, it wasn't a relaxing place to browse--even though we were the only customers there. What honestly surprised me most was seeing the near-perfect online ratings afterward. Everyone has different tastes, but based on my visit, I just don't understand the hype. I left empty-handed and with bug bites, which isn't exactly the thrift-store experience I was hoping for. I do wish the owners the best, but my visit was disappointing enough that I don't see myself returning.

The employee with dark hair and a nose piercing was mumbling, and I could barely hear her. When I asked her to repeat herself, she seemed annoyed. She allowed me to look through the bin of items they planned to take, but again I couldn't hear her clearly. She said not to mess up the order, but because she was speaking so quietly and unclearly, I started picking up the items I was agreeing to sell before signing off. She rolled her eyes, was passive-aggressive, and repeated that I shouldn't "mess up the order." I've been to many locations before, but this was the rudest and most unprofessional service I've experienced.

Literally a Nike zip up they could've/ would have sold for $40-60 no doubt. The girl told me they didn't take SHEIN at any store; when half of their collection as well as the Portsmouth locations collection is all SHEIN items. The difference in prices is also INSANE. I got brand name boots in Portsmouth that retailed for $200 for $14. This Plato's is selling nasty gross dirty shoes for $60 with Amazon branding. I genuinely wouldn't waste your time or money coming to this location at all. They really pick and choose here and the staff is just not worth dealing with. I've met 15 year olds in customer service with more tact.
