Been thrifting for the longest time. ( before it was the 'it' thing to do ). You basically go to these stores and hope to find stuff ya like at a bargain. Sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't , it really is the modern treasure hunting for those that look around the store. This store I see that it's popular because theirs always a line to get in when they open, so it must be worth it to try to find items. Theirs some policies that I wish they'd go back to ( especially with electrical items / return for store credit if it doesn't work ) but, since it's changed now I make sure to test it out before making a purchase. At least with clothes you can return it for credit as long as you keep the tags on it ( so make sure to try them at home because theirs no fitting rooms ). Pricing has changed but just like everything else cost has gone up , sure it sucks but you still gotta look for those gems. Staff has always been friendly and I talk to them ( hopefully not too much ). So if you have some time to look around store, you'll probably find something you will like And hopefully it's priced right for ya. Patience is key when buying second hand :) read more

I'm appalled and disappointed with the employees/management at this location. On December 28th, I accidentally donated a couple of important documents inside of a binder. (I know, it was a dumb mistake, don't remind me.) I realized what I had done two days later and came back when they opened. I explained to an employee what happened and filed a report. I left specific details (appearance and descriptions of items) so they would not miss it. I was told that they would post my report on all of the carts and contact me as soon as they found it. A few days went by, and I still didn't hear anything. I went back to the store and spoke to the manager about my situation and she told me the same thing as the employee did before. She assured me that they check every donation they get and hold on to important items like mine for 30 days. A couple weeks went by and I decided to check the shelves for myself. Lo and behold, I found my binder there with my documents inside of it. They didn't bother to check like they said they would. It's negligent and lazy to not only sell items they haven't looked through, but also selling something they promised they would look out for. I won't come back to this location ever again. read more

Terrible experience. They don't even deserve a one star review. Two times I have asked for person at drop off to take items I've described. Each time they've taken additional items. I tried to recover first pair of Lucky boots. They were going to be a returned to Amazon. Only three minutes after they were taken out of my car, did I realize they were missing. Turned right around and went back. Manager with clipboard took all my information and I checked a couple days later cause I did not hear from them. Went into the store and did not find them anywhere. Very dishonest. Next experience same thing. Only, I mentioned to take only kitchen items behind drivers seat on floor. They also took a return to go back for a refund. I really love Savers and their community donations. I feel like their pricing these days is very hit and miss and sometimes reflects against the point of "thrifting", but with all the donations... I'm sure it can be hard to check everything. From what I know, they don't pull "high end" things the same way Goodwill does; so that's a start. I snagged this super awesome recycled glass case today and that was a major score for $5! The store in general is always pretty picked up; usually doesn't look like a hurricane or tornado ran through the store.... But they could figure out something with their smelly bathrooms.... read more

Savers is just a fun place to be. It's a fun place to take the kids. It's well lit, and the atmosphere is pretty lit too! It's fun to goof off in there, dribble a basketball around, grab a a bag of sour patch kids from the shelf and snack on those while you shop. Savers has really gone down-hill in recent years. I used to frequent the Savers in Riverside, so I was excited to see that there were two locations in Huntington Beach when I first moved to the area. Sadly I quickly realized that the quality was not consistent across all locations. While I'm a huge fan of giving second hand goods a second chance at life, Savers stacks their shelves with a large number of broken and stained items. It's almost as if there's no filtration system for the items. This can be somewhat dangerous, especially the broken glass. I was also really bummed that they removed their dressing rooms, yet have a no-return policy. I've purchased jeans from here in the past, and it's a bummer to still pay $10+ on a used pair of jeans that you can't try on or return. read more

Suuuuuure some days are a thrift miss but more often than not I've found some incredibly amazing gems at this store for a crazy (good) price!!! I've found a one of a kind wooden armoire here, lots of amazing clothes (yes sometimes the prices are wack--esp on fast fashion items) while digging around, and even things like almost-new roller skates for only $10!!!! They really do have some weird pricing and lots of junk, but if you want to put in the effort to find things that are quality and reasonably priced, this is a pretty good place to do it at! The 5 stars is for an employee named Valerie. I love shopping in the furniture department at Savers. I found really great deals in the furniture department but everything was so heavy and I couldn't load everything in my car by myself ! Thankfully Valerie helped me and together we lifted some pretty heavy stuff! Another employee named Carlos ignored me when I asked him to help me . He just watched us as we struggled , I have been back several times since then and I have noticed all the men working will not help a woman to lift heavy pieces! Mind blown! What a great thrift store. If I'm being completely honest, I had never heard of Savers before. I did a Yelp search for thrift stores and Savers popped up nearby. Awesome. I didn't have any expectations before coming here. But boy I thought of previous thrift stores I've been to, and this was so much better. They had so many things! And decent quality. It is always a let down when you find something cool at a thrift store and then you find it has a huge rip in it or stains that won't come out. Then it's not even wearable. That was not an issue here at Savers! The clothing, shoes and furniture were all good quality for pre-loved. I ended up getting some shoes, a Disney popcorn holder, a Halloween bowl and some comfy T-shirts. I love everything I bought! read more

This really is the best thrift store. On top of the clothes and jewelry, which are updated seemingly daily/every other day, there is always has a wide range of good quality products and decor. This place is a hit or miss, most of the time I find wonderful, fairly priced gems and then other times I don't find anything which I think can be said about any thrift store. In terms of quantity there is plenty and it's somewhat organized but in terms of quality I suppose it depends on the person. I've found some great clothing items and I mainly go here for the books but they've got it all, big furniture items, shoes, purses, games, movies, ect. They do have a few high end items but those are typically kept behind glass which again is at most thrift stores. This is my favorite store when I have donations, it's extremely easy and super quick and there's always someone happy to help in case you need it. They also give you a coupon when you donate. Overall it's your typical thrift store, you either love it or you hate it but see for yourself. read more

I love this savers. You definitely need to search for awhile but I always leave with something.

The staff is nice and they have lots of sales which is good. Sadly there are no dressing rooms. Items in general are over priced for the wear and tear on them. Majority of the clothes are faded, pilling, and very over priced, especially compared to other thrift stores in the area. Magazines, books, table cloths, and yards of fabric are fair priced for the condition and being second hand. This is one of the few thrift stores that have jewelry, though the prices are either fair or over priced unfortunately. The over all atmosphere is good though, they have all the lights on, and it's generally clean. read more

Me and my friend had donations and a guy came out, we put it in different tubs outside, gives my friend a coupon and looked at me and hesitantly gave me one then calls us back and said I can only give one coupon with no explanation? I donate a lot of things to savers first time this happened. I didn't want to fight it but they need to be trained better or what is your policy? I heard it was thrift store day so I had to stop by. This store has a great layout. It's well planned and nice to navigate. They continually put out cool things and they especially have jewelry jars! It's a jar with random jewelry pieces that you can dig through. They have the best artwork, the best glass cups, the best plus size dress section. The woman's shoes are organized beautifully and SIZED! They carry a wide range from petite to plus size. Everything is organized into wonderfully separated sections. So nice to navigate and so nice to experience. Special shoutout to the absolute QUEEN who was directing shoppers at the registers! I really enjoyed going to this savers. It was busy and the workers were trying their best to continuously and orderly put out product all over the store. We were inside the store for about 2 hours and there were still new things being put out on the shelves before we left. If you donate (at least 3 items ) you can get a discount coupon. I loved the fabric/materials section and the sewing patterns that they have are a great price. They also had some tables/furniture in the back of the store, as well as all types of chairs. They have a whole wall of school supplies, art materials, phone cases, etc. From What I've seen the prices are really good for what they have! I will say if you have an item that doesn't have a price on it, it's best to get it re-ticketed before heading to checkout, it may take a couple minutes to run back to the back and get it reprinted; but the employees were really pleasant and nice to talk to. read more

I really like this store. I love to thrift for my own benefit. I buy my jeans here, I buy shirts and jackets here. I upgrade my kitchenware here. I buy books (the library bookstore has better prices). I will also be happy to browse just for fun. There is ample parking, drop off a donation and get a 20% off coupon. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The selection always varies but if you look you will find super quality stuff for a good price. Last week I picked up a vintage Camp Trails backpacking rig for 10$. I don't know why all the reviews with beefs! I prefer self checkout. I used to really like coming here and I would be so happy with the affordable finds. The store itself is spacious and organized in comparison to other thrift shops. However the last 2-3 times I came here were so disappointing. Their prices have inflated so much and I cannot justify spending over $20 on a USED shirt or dress that's from an unknown brand. I have visited this store on March 31, 2023, while waiting on my SO shopping, so I just browsed the shelves for the electronics, as I enjoy fixing electronics for fun. I have found an old rusty receiver with a 5.99 sticker under a pile of old hair irons. Dusted it out and felt like this is going to be my next patient. It was complete with all the knowbs up front but very rusty rear panel. For 5.99, I'll try, I thought. If it could be fixed, I'll gift it to someone. Took it to the counter and what do you know, a cashier refused to sell it. Said it could not be so. Then he quickly peeled off the sticker to reveal a different sticker for 24.99! Nice, isn't it? I didn't even expect this to happen so I did not take a picture of the original sticker, only of the older sticker for 24.99. Then he accused me of switching the stickers. Me? He switched the sticker, not I. Anyway, he refused to sell for posted price. BTW, this is a law, you must sell for the posted price. It is not a customer's job to verify the posted price. It is a store's job to find and verify the posted price before offering an item to a customer. And if the price is posted they have to sell at posted price and check other items later. They refused. So, here is the deal. I woke in to their store to bring them my business. I did go thru the shelves to find my deal. I found it and I took it to the register. And then, conveniently for them, they accuse me of swapping a sticker and rise the price 5 fold. Had it been marked 24.99, no one in the world would ever look at it. So, there I was, the whole store watching the ordeal, looking at me as if I was some sort of low rent thief opportunist. I demanded the manager. He wasn't there, of course, why be there, the store is perfectly trained on how to scam the customers for up sell. They gave me the number (562) 897-6306 Gerome. Supposedly an owner. I called and left a message. Gerome never called back. Again. Why bother? If this is how you apparently conduct your business, why respond? So, this is what they will do to you if you manage to find a deal for your fancy time. You will be accused, and they will roll up the price 5 folds. This place needs to be visited by management. Whoever decided to leave this place running by the night shift needs a medical evaluation. Evening manager on Sunday evening has no patient or enough time to assist customer what is the whole purpose of having him here?!?!! This guys seems like he was on drugs or something based on his interactions tonight. Secondly, the check out employee has no oversight skills to manage this section of the department. How do you stand there and see someone pay cash for an item and less than 3 min ask the customer if they paid for it ?!?! And proceed to ask for proof. Sir, you were standing there while the payment was being collected by the machine. You have one job and that's to stand there and observe lol. I absolutely love coming here! I've found just about anything I could need for my new apartment here. Perfectly good working air fryer $19 bucks. A toaster for 5.99. They aren't doing returns on anything but clothing right now because of Covid but for the other items you can test them to make sure they work before you buy. In the back of the store there is a power strip (near the lamps). I think I come here once a week to see if there's anything new because you never know what you might find if you need something and your patient, you can probably get it here. When you donate items they give you a coupon. When you sign up with your phone number they send you coupons to your email! In the other reviews it says the prices can be high but I've found everything to be extremely fair priced and even better with the coupons! The staff is always super friendly and wearing masks. They clean the carts right before you get it. The only thing i don't love is that you can't take the carts out of the store. So if you buy something bigger you have to carry it. read more

I come to this store weekly and have had a few issues with a worker there. Todays though was rude enough I wanted to let you guys know. We picked up a piece of jewelry and got it at the registers. When we scanned it errored so the pale employee with the curly black hair came over, already mad at us. She had a major attitude, sighed and didn't say hi or anything. She mumbled that we shouldn't have been given this and when I mentioned we came up here and got it like we were told to do her response was that the other employee was supposed to scan it for us. I asked why that means she has to be rude to the customers who don't know store policy. When we walked by the windows on the way out she actually gave us a smirk smile and waved mockingly. I admit it wasn't my best moment but she was so incredibly rude I flipped her off and walked away. I could have handled that better but wow was she rude. read more
