We were scouring Yelp, google reviews, and GPT to try and decide who could produce the highest quality frame and print for a piece that meant a lot to us. Genuinely could not be more pleased with the results. Helen and her team were extremely helpful with design recommendations and advice, and accommodated us waiting until the last minute to get a 60x40 print for our engagement party. The finished result was better than expected and we had endless compliments and jaws were dropped. The results were so amazing we already put in an order for two more. All of our property has been in storage since we quickly vacated, and we do not know what was impacted by the water intrusion and mold, or what needs to be cleaned, restored, or destroyed. It is arguably the most stressful situation I have ever experienced. We have been forced to deal many vendors during this process, most of which looked for the easiest way to get the job done, cutting corners and providing horrible customer service. This was not the case with Katya. We reached out to Katya to help restore an original painting that was on a wall impacted by water and mold. She is a breath of fresh air. Her professionalism, passion for art, thoroughness and detailed process in restoring an important chapter in my life, is deeply appreciated! For all of you art lovers, history buffs and those who love the emotions of art, if you need any of your important pieces of your collection cleaned or restored, I highly recommend Katya! Not only was Katya amazing at bringing my painting back to its original beauty, she has an amazing character and is a true pleasure to work with. More than 35 years ago, my husband acquired an original lobby card (actually, the best card) from THE WIZARD OF OZ; just about my favorite film of all time. The only problem is that the previous owner decided to repair a couple of tears with scotch tape! Needless to say, we had two yellow stains on the card and it looked horrible. We lived in New York, and the local paper restorer told us the only way to fix it would be to 'cut out' the tape stains, replace the missing pieces with a blank canvas and then restore the artwork. We didn't want to do that; we just did not want to have a piece from this fabulous lobby card permanently removed. Then, we moved to California and I brought the card to Mario at Lumiere Poster Restoration. Mario told us he could get most of the tape stain off the card and then do some minor restoration and bring the card back to its original brilliance. Well, a couple months later, we went down to pick up the restored lobby card, and it looks nothing short of terrific! Mario did an absolutely wonderful job. Take a look at the 'before' and 'after' photographs (click on the photos to see the ENTIRE image). Immediately, I put the card in a frame and found a place to display it in my home. Mario does remarkable work.
