I am telling you about this place and also about Healing Paws in Ormond Even if you have 1 pet or more, I had 2, one man had 6 This is the BEST and CHEAPEST place to get you beloved pet their vaccinations. Dr. Tom Frieberg VOLUNTEERS the first Saturday of EVERY month to do this. He is a fantastic vet. I know because he is (and was) ALL of my dogs (3 have since passed away) He is the one who told me about this place. He could have had me do the shots at his place but, told HE told me it was much cheaper there WHAT Doctor/Vet DOES THIS? He is kind and gentle and Is so AMAZING. He has his practice, Healing Paws in Ormond. As I said, he does these shots for all who come to The "Save the Animals" store. And there is a line of aaa lot of people there It is sooo easy. You can keep your baby(ies) in your car now, Pick up a #number and fill out the form. This way they don't have any anxiety until you're turn comes up. There are chairs and water for your pet(s). When it's your turn, you go in, tell them what you want, pay and pay. Now they are accepting credit cards. (It used to be cash only) Dr. Tom's staff are also helping. his wife is there (I'm soo sorry I forgot her name), when she could be home. Sierra is also always helping. Ashley wasn't there this time but she is also helping out. These beautiful ladies don't have to be there but they are also dedicated to the cause. So, it's right off S. They have an excellent inventory and it's organized. Many of their articles of clothing are designer and still have labels on them. The people are friendly and willing to help. And, most of all, the money goes to the best cause--animals. read more

I frankly have not met a more dedicated team. Unable to meet the expense of an heart echocardiogram for our pup, I personally reached out to them and could not have been treated with such kindness and understanding. Matt arranged to have our dog checked out, and hopefully do the echocardiogram without cost. It's not often that you encounter folks that are there sincerely and honestly for the sake of the animals. As to the other comments here in Yelp, don't know if the homeless man had it coming because of previous incidents, and yes the store can use some updating and the dogs perhaps should be controlled better, but it is the mission they follow that deserves praise. Maybe those criticisms are best saved for a place that merits them, this one does not. Highly recommend! read more

I am writing this review to let others know what we witnessed, as it charges were never filed. We witnessed the owner of this establishment repeatedly hit a homeless man for "stealing" a shopping cart. We were in the road watching him hit the man in our vehicle. We then called the police, finding out that someone else had already called the police on the owner. The homeless man stated he had purchased items from his store and asked an employee if he could borrow the cart to take the items to where ever he was staying. The owner repeatedly hit the man, making him fall down a few times. For a store to claim how proud they are and to be saving the animals, they are not very good people behind the company. I have never been here and never will after witnessing such a horrifying event. read more

Store is okay, somewhat organized but service isn't always great. It depends on who you get. I've had mixed experiences.

This is one of my go-to thrift stores, I never leave here empty handed. Somehow this place always has the perfect vintage jeans! (and for a great price) The store it's self doesn't have the usual thrift store "stink" and seems very clean even though it is pet friendly! The people who work here are very nice as well and don't force you to buy both pieces of a clothing set if you only want one piece. This place is really a hidden gem read more

Used to be my go to place until everytime i go to donate, the black guy in the back who picks up is always creating problems (like that could break a vehicle or cause an accident, and smoking right next to a donaters). This idiot almost got accidently run over because he doesnt listen or follow directions. The manager Ronnie whom i was surprised even is a manager, just said he will talk to him after i explained all the problems everytime. Lame, lazy, disrespectful, and unprofessional is all i could think of after dealing with these 2 today. What a shame because i donate lots of stuff and shop there too. I still cant believe management knows all the complaints against that black guy, yet dont do anything about it to the point of losing a customer. read more

Horrible experience. This place is advertised as pet friendly but you must have them on a leash... This does not apply to the shop dogs though who will be all over your dog, barking, growling and jumping about you the entire time from when you walk in. No staff will try to help you by stopping them or at all interfering. Impossible to look around let alone make your way through the store. Completely ridiculous. read more

By far, one of my favorite thrift stores in the Port Orange area! It doesn't always have a lot of men's clothing, but I think they always end up getting a good selection of knick-knacks, electronics, housewares, and a lot of interesting jewelry, all at very, VERY reasonable prices! Every day they have bargain sales on the front sidewalk like clothing and 25 cent VHS tapes (yes, I still use my VCR!) and they have a percentage off sale for various categories during the week. Not every day I find something, but I try to check them out at least once every couple of weeks. All the employees/volunteers I've experienced have been very pleasant, too!
