Considering there aren't a lot of places to buy produce and such downtown- this was a great opportunity to make that happen. It's about 3 aisles of crackers, bread, chips and other packaged goods. They do sell milk and some refrigerated items so that is a plus. I found it very strange that their cosmetic section is pretty much the entire main floor. It's like they are trying to be Sephora or something. It is super nice and has a luxury feel to it. Good in Shopper's for taking advantage of the great location and extra space!

Look I get the location is bad but now all they have are self checkouts. And when I needed a bag they brought me a $2.78 bag. Insulting as I am disabled because of ON healthcare. Now unable to walk properly for the fifth time and still paying for most of my healthcare after losing my job in BC when I was having difficulty walking.

Recently, I went in to buy a few personal items and was happy to see the prices were lower than other larger pharmacies and it also carried the name brands I was looking for. Most importantly is the friendly, professional staff which made me decide to transfer my prescriptions over to this store. It is so refreshing to pick up my prescriptions within 10 minutes rather than being told that I must return within an hour like the one I was previously using. I highly recommend this pharmacy and will not go back to the larger chains where I never get quality service!

I couldn't get my debit card to work and I was getting pretty embarrassed to say the least. This teller came over and without saying a word simply took her card out and payed for my groceries. Just like that! I did end up paying her back but it was so kind and completely unexpected and totally NOT part of her job. Another day I saw a lady having similar difficulties and a different cashier (not the same one that helped me last time) took her to customer service and when he realized that her card was just not going to work. Very discreetly I saw him behind the counter take his out his own card and rang up the groceries. The lady wasn't aware of this. She simply took the receipt and as she walked by the first cashier asked her if it all got sorted out. The lady simply smiled and said, "Yes, I don't know what he did but it went through!" And with that she went out the door! My husband always has great things to say about the butcher or the person behind the meat counter as he's always giving him the heads up of upcoming deals that are coming up and just making his trip to the store more enjoyable. I always shake my head when I hear people belittling the cashiers or other workers there as I know that they are all doing their best. They seem to care about their jobs and take pride in it and I think it shows. Most of the workers are always smiling or even dancing or singing and go out of their way to make things easier. I've seen a few cashiers are a little snobbish or look like they would rather be anywhere else but o don't see them back so I think they're doing a good job of getting the right kind of people working there! Just my two cents.

Cristhian then told the Customer Service guy Drew, that Sean had not brought the one he asked for. Well, C had NOT specified details to S, and I said so. C rolled his eyes and tried to argue. He also argued that the $28.99 TP was the same price as the $19.99 one on Rewards. He tried to put his own mistake on me. I own a small biz. Let me tell you, this guy is nothing but a liability.

I was looking for somewhere to test my blood pressure to help determine whether at 7 months…read morepregnant, I am possibly suffering from the onset of preeclampsia- a common but potentially very dangerous pregnancy condition. Peoples on Shelbourne was the closest available option w/ a blood pressure monitor. When we walked in the counter person recognized the friend that I was with and informed him that an item he had previously inquired about was now in stock. This in itself shows superb customer service but it was what came next that throughly impressed me. The pharmacist offered me a chair and some water and explained that in order to get a proper reading I needed to take 20 min and let this second super fancy machine that he had led me to (and away from the regular one) take a total of 6 readings. Basically he pampered me- a filling me in on what he knew about preeclampsia while we waited for the average reading to finish. I felt like the staff at People's Pharmacy went out of there way to go above and beyond. The results of my bp test were, thankfully, very low and therefore negative for preeclampsia but I wanted to write a review to give the staff the recognition I think that they deserve! I mean we didn't even buy anything and yet we were given total V.I.P. treatment!
