Look I get the location is bad but now all they have are self checkouts. And when I needed a bag they brought me a $2.78 bag. Insulting as I am disabled because of ON healthcare. Now unable to walk properly for the fifth time and still paying for most of my healthcare after losing my job in BC when I was having difficulty walking.

Despite being short staffed and it being a holiday, the pharmacy staff went above and beyond to fill my inhaler prescription today, so I didn't have to wait. I didn't realize how bad my breathing had become until I attempted the normally 5 minute walk to the store! One dose and I'm already breathing better. So, thank you. You all deserve a medal and a giant pay raise for the work you do, under increasingly difficult circumstances these days in healthcare.

This man asks customers what's in their package when they pick up. He announces our names and addresses loudly, and asks invasive questions about our mailings. Three times, he has come out of the back room literally juggling and squeezing my package, guessing out loud what's in it. When I told him I didn't like it, he got sarcastic, saying, "Sooooo, file a complaint about me." Then he gave an ugly smirk. No recognition he'd done anything wrong. He even comments on womens' appearance. He announces to the line up what payment method we are using, disingenuously making conversation with, "Ooh, is that a MASTER card, or a DEBIT card? I can never remember the circles!" trying to get women to talk to him. He makes inappropriate comments about peoples' names, e.g., "Oooh, isn't that the name of a wiiiiine?" as if he's attempting an awkward pickup in a bar. I have never seen so many people squirm in discomfort. He asks questions about our mail for which the RCMP would need a warrant. He is a legend among people at UVic, and not in a good way. Why Heart is willing to subject customers to this unprofessional behavior, I don't know. Given this, I would certainly not transfer my prescriptions there nor do any shopping. I'm filing a complaint with Canada Post, which certainly will not help the pharmacy overall.

I was looking for somewhere to test my blood pressure to help determine whether at 7 months…read morepregnant, I am possibly suffering from the onset of preeclampsia- a common but potentially very dangerous pregnancy condition. Peoples on Shelbourne was the closest available option w/ a blood pressure monitor. When we walked in the counter person recognized the friend that I was with and informed him that an item he had previously inquired about was now in stock. This in itself shows superb customer service but it was what came next that throughly impressed me. The pharmacist offered me a chair and some water and explained that in order to get a proper reading I needed to take 20 min and let this second super fancy machine that he had led me to (and away from the regular one) take a total of 6 readings. Basically he pampered me- a filling me in on what he knew about preeclampsia while we waited for the average reading to finish. I felt like the staff at People's Pharmacy went out of there way to go above and beyond. The results of my bp test were, thankfully, very low and therefore negative for preeclampsia but I wanted to write a review to give the staff the recognition I think that they deserve! I mean we didn't even buy anything and yet we were given total V.I.P. treatment!

They don't answer the phone, they don't acknowledge you if you're waiting to see them (I waited over half an hour while they were working with another customer and they weren't interacting with that person). They give you a time to pick up your prescription and then say it'll be another day before it's ready. When you do go to pick up the prescription, it still takes ten minutes for them to process it.
