This locations savemart deli is great, the food is fresh and the staff friendly. The place is so well cleaned and organized with perfect signs to know what things are and how much they cost. The meat department is super friendly and and helpful they even went in to the back and get me the exact tri-tip package or great priced choice meat. The big thing is I have to download the app, sign up, and muddle through the navigation to clip all the coupons and match the stuff I'm buying with the coupon I clipped. It's kind of a pain, but I really wanted to take advantage of the savings, it was about 40% off, so worth the savings, I would do it without. read more

I have so many opinions about Save Mart. On one hand, you can't beat the selection for certain items in the store. If you can't find something mildly obscure at other locations, you can probably find it here. They have the best salt and vinegar wings in the valley...their deli items are usually fresh as is their meat. On the other hand, I've found some very moldy or decayed foods in the produce section. Make sure you check produce carefully (especially berries for mold or hard squash for soft spots), as I've put my finger through a spaghetti squash and found super fuzzy or melting strawberries that were discounted for quick sale. Save Mart (this one included) is also incredibly expensive for most of the items I shop for. I definitely shop weekly ads and will go to different stores to save money. Most of the time, I can find my staple items on sale at competitor stores for a fraction of the price. With that said, this location is convenient. When I have a sick family member or need something that is hard to find...or I'm craving those salt and vinegar wings...I am glad this place exists. read more

The worst Savemart I've ever been to wouldn't take my change. The tall pale privileged man with a hat on couldn't count US change because he was too lazy. Guess he has been working there too long or too good for the change idk. I live down the street from this location and have always paid with card or bills. Since I had change this time (which is also U.S. money), I clearly thought it was accepted. America is a shit show and he is a prime example of why it's so hard to get by in this country. This may be the most dangerous parking lot in NW Fresno. Drivers pay almost no attention, just start and stop as if they are the only car. SaveMart is a good grocery store and there are others in NW Fresno that have better parking lots. read more

This Savemart on Bullard and West has no lights in the parking lot after dark. Super scary at night with lots of beggars in the parking lot coming up on you because you can't see them approaching. So thankful for their late hours. Getting off of work late and everything being closed really sucks but Save Mart is always open when I need it! They have a great selection of products and it's never overcrowded. Also, this location has an amazing staff that is super friendly every time I go in. I live closer to the Marks and Herndon location. But I prefer this location because they keep up this store unlike the Marks location. Everyone that works here is nice. I'm extremely grateful to the nice guy who works in the meat department and to Wiley who works here. Wiley was super nice when he took my cupcake order a few months ago. I had to buy potatoes a while back, as I was shopping I picked 2 lbs of russets which were .39 lb as the sign said. When I went to ring up my purchases the potatoes rang up .58 lb. I mentioned to the cashier that I thought that was wrong. So the cashier sent a bagger back to check the price. It took a little while and I could see the bagger was talking to the produce guy she came back and said yes it's .58 lb. I said no way I saw the sign. So I went back to check the sign and it was changed to .58 a lb. I was so pissed. They had changed the sign while I was waiting at the register. And the bagger smirked. What a biatch she was. She will make someone a fine wife (red headed gal) I asked to speak to a Manager. Without argue he said no problem. Offered to give me the taters free and reimburse my money. Damage was done. I had stopped shopping at Save Mart because they never had baskets.I would come to do a weeks shopping only to leave with 2-3 items because that's all I could carry. They finally got baskets and I happily started shopping there again. Yesterday my husband went to do a big shopping and there are no baskets again(maybe there are some but very few compared to the amount of people shopping) He had quite a big lIst but could only carry 3things so that is all he bought. I don't have time to stop and only buy a few things so from now on I will be driving farther to a store that always has plenty of baskets so I only need to shop once a week. read more

Ugh! I just experienced the rudest store on the planet! I went into this Save Mart, just to buy some salmon. I asked if they could cut me a 2 fillets out of a big piece of salmon, which they normally do, without any problem at ALL the other locations of Save Mart. This complete jerk working there by the name of "Connor" (just a skinny schoolboy with no manners) who had a horrible attitude and flat out refused to cut the fish the way I asked. I told him the other Save Mart down the street cut fish exactly how I wanted it, anytime I wanted it, without a problem. He immediately snarled at me and hissed at me like a cat, as he said "well, you're welcome to go there" I was shocked! I told him he did not have to be so rude and that was a terrible way to treat a customer! After this experience, I refuse to buy anything at this stupid store, and put everything back and left! It is very hard for me to believe that he is one of the actual "managers." - he sure has a lot to learn about being a manager and one of the first things that he should've been taught is how to treat customers with respect! My husband held a fund raiser for the wrestling team he coached. I wanted to help so we decided to have a Dinner and Silent Auction fund raiser. A fund raiser veteran told me to hit up local stores to ask for gift cards, or to donate the food for the dinner. And I can't remember what his name was, but the store manager at THIS PARTICULAR save mart, gave me a gift card. 2nd poor review of this store. Today I went and was given attitude by the man in front of the store soliciting donations. I politely declined to donate (to the cause I have never heard of) and he had a complete bad attitude. I witnessed him treating other patrons the same way. This store hasn't changed since the 80's. Parking is tight, store is kinda dark inside, and customer service is not a priority. The checkout area is narrow in my opinion. I always feel like there's not enough room for shopping traffic and people in line at the same time. We have been shopping at this Save Mart for years (10+) but over the last couple have really noticed that the staff is becoming less friendly and service oriented. They have inappropriate conversations with each other (complaining about working there, can't wait to get off of work, etc.). Ignore the customers and not say hello. I have seen them treat seniors with impatience by rolling their eyes and making rude comments about how slow they are with their transaction. Over the past two years, my wife and I have observed three separate occasions bad enough to complain to their corporate office. Corporate and the managment staff here always respond positively and quickly. Its typically the same staff that we have observed doing the bad behavior. Union issue? Now that this one is now unioinized? Save Mart prices are not low. I know that I pay more for better service and products at Save Mart (that at least was their reputation and why I have shopped there for so many years). However, when you have a Von's across the street and Food 4 Less 1/2 mile from where I live, justifying coming here is becoming harder to do. I figure that since I am getting poor service I might as well bag my own groceries at Food 4 Less. Which I have started to with much more frequency.
