I have been to two other dollar trees with them in the last two days trying to get things for my classroom because I'm a teacher and this place surpassed all of them. The Broadway store in Columbia look like a garage sale and the cashier didn't even acknowledge me. The Grindstone store is OK but they don't have the friendly customer service that this store has. I was told it's under new management for the past two months and I spoke with a manager, Jill, she's doing an excellent job and if you've had a bad experience at the store in the past, I recommend that you come back.

During our walking around I overheard 2 employees speaking about other employees being lazy and useless. I ignored this and kept shopping. However, during check out, my son, who is 9, was tapping his fingers at the end of the register, waiting for his toy to be scanned and handed to him. She looked at my child and told him to stop because he was annoying. Excuse me, but who hired her, and why does this business hire people with this mannerism? How is this acceptable? I told her we should be thankful he wasn't her son. I can only imagine how she speaks to her own family. Not to mention her coworkers. She's certainly open about her disrespect to everyone. I'd also like to point out this was also an older woman and not a teen. I've been in when the teens were working, and they are by far more kind. This was somebody who should know better.
