I was easily able to find the "Mizzou Mom" sweater I came for (but you might want to add some step-mom, step-dad stuff as other college stores have just to cover the bases there too) and they had several parent options that were cute. We got mugs, t-shirts, and saw all the things we came for. Staff walking around were friendly and took great care of us. Checkout was fast and pleasant.

California Walmart took them out a while ago. Their pet selection I guess for this area is on par. If you have a pet that's not a cat or dog, it's probably not going to work for you. This place is really clean and the employees are for the most part super friendly and helpful. I did get a little attitude from a couple employees on a couple occasions when bringing my own bags vs wasting plastic bags. I guess it's just not popular here to bring your own bags yet, but there's no need to be weird about it.
