Great I said and asked if anywhere I could get a coffee near by.. Jeston disappeared for few mins and came back with a coffee for me. The Western Second Hand Shop is full of beautiful vintage items from furniture to old medicine bottles. There are so many quality items in this store. It is obvious that the storeowner has a great eye and is very particular in selecting items for sale. This is very important when you have a second-hand dealership. When people like myself see that they stock quality items, it just becomes second nature to stop every time you drive past the store. It really set's your business apart from the junky stores. If you are looking for some unique display items for our home, this is the store for you. I found an amazing acrylic deer head barometer for only $30! Oh I love it so much, it is so retro and a real showpiece in my house. Everyone comments on it. There is also a good collection of crockery and glassware in this store as well. I would suggest café owners or restaurant owners to come and have a look if you like to use vintage tableware. And there is one extra feature about this store that makes me say, "shut up and take my money". On their website they list all their items for sale, which you can purchase and pick up at a later day. So if it is a rainy day and you could not be bothered leaving your house; don't worry, jump online and have a browse!

Fantastic Furniture on North East Road is really not all that fantastic. It is cheapish and some of the furniture looks alright.....wait on a moment.....Isn't there a place that sounds strangely similar but is 50 times bigger? Well, yes...there is, but we won't go to Sweeden for now! There is actually some half decent furnature at Fantastic and as much as I like to take the piss the prices are very comparable and probably cheaper than the Ikea options across town. Fantastic.....no, but worth a look. They also have a 'dent' section of mildly damaged stock that has price reductions. Some pretty good buys there if ya don't mind the odd scratch or fatal manufacturing flaw!

As the other reviews say, it's not the best quality furniture but it is alright and very reasonably priced. They also do packages, which are very cheap so you can deck out a whole room in matching furniture for a low price. Also it is in a good location for me and there isn't much competition around.

Due to its Gepps Cross location, I am lucky enough to be the first to review. Today my best friend and I were cruising around, you know, just shopping for some cool stuff...and this massive store happened to be right next to JB Hi-Fi, where we bought a new PS3 game to play together. Yes, we young guys love our computer games. I admit it - we were going to go home straight after, but I couldn't resist it. We stepped in, and all I could mutter was, "Whoa!....This is massive! And it's so well laid out!" I ... just ... can't....get...enough! The male owner smiled and said hello to me straight away! He's hidden, located right in the middle of the store, so you have to walk a few metres forward before you see him. He introduced me to his range of products, and I was impressed with his efficient furniture education. The latest colours are black and white modern, and the prices were shocking - $600 for a black desk! And he told me I can mix and match colours such and dark and light browns stylishly with other colours. He then showed me what rustic (country) furniture looked like...now I have a better idea of how I'm going to lay out my new house in the future. But hopefully my bank account doesn't go bankrupt if I'm going to make my interior look as snazzy as this store.

If only I lived in a great big enormous house that needed a dozen different rooms peppered with artifacts and regularly changed around to suit my mood or the weather or something. One thing is for sure, if you are just starting out in a new house or flat - like it's the first time from home or a new place because you've just decided it should be that way - this is a great shop to go to and find the things that may give it your special touch. It is a little odd going into a shop like this when you can feel like there are so many duplicates of the same thing, so why buy it, however once you have thought through the critical mass of population and how many people you know and what you like compared to your friends, you will discover that if you buy something here cheap, and most of it is very reasonably priced, your friends will be impressed and not have the same thing as you. It is very unlikely they will anyway. Even if you know someone with the same thing, it just means you both have good taste, doesn't it! These people at Loot have things like ornaments and carved wooden giraffes and candles and cusions and screens and such, but my favourite things are the cushions and the little rugs. very handy and not too expensive. Also they have a annual clearance sale at the start of the year with really good bargains, they do advertise it and it does get busy - this year it is 21st and 22nd January so it is as I am writing this review - actually this weekend - and they have up to 75% off their stock! They do this big sale every year. I got a whole lot of tea lights last year for about 50 cents (non rapping) so check out Loot. It's pretty cool.

This home decor shop is the only Loot in South Australia (according to its website) so no wonder I didn't know it was a chain. The shop is packed full of gorgeous decorations and trinkets, bags, scarves and some clothing, pillows and throw rugs, hand made and other gorgeous stationary, candles, fragrances and dozens of cute boxes, large and small. Much of it is inspired by Indian designs, mixed with many European images. It's obviously not authentic - it's way too cheap, and though not particularly good quality it's not poorly made; it's somewhere in that enormous middle ground. Loot is a brilliant place to go Christmas shopping, as there are many items within a very affordable price range, like the gorgeous little jewelry boxes that are only $6.95. They also have a nice range of daily inspiration cards and magnets, as well as these strange fragrance balls that are made of something that feels like styrofoam, that make the whole shop smell fantastic. It currently has heaps of specials on leading up to Christmas, so now is a very good time to check it out.

Located in the new homemaker centre in Gepps Cross I honestly don't even bother looking in the others because I know I'll find what I like here for my budget. Being young and ready to move out of home soon, I've been gathering bits and pieces. I got a full solid wooden queen bed here with a beautiful mattress (I like quality so it was a nice soft one), for only $1500 with 2 bed side tables with draws which I thought was great. They deliver to your house as well which is handy, seeing as my car won't fit a queen mattress in the boot obviously. The staff are a little busy almost all the time so be prepared to wait around a bit or go hunting for someone, and they aren't too knowledgeable so I always go there with a certain thing in mind and research myself.

They delivered me some Fiji furniture which is gorgeous all turned up wrapped perfectly however one chair was definitely dropped prior to delivery as turned up with a chunk out of it and warped ...,called and spoke to faith who sorted this immediately and assured delivery the next morning which surprised me ..... Had a phone call later that night confirming delivery for next morning .... Didn't come in the morning hubby called store and they assured me afternoon which yey happened in the end , not faiths fault think just communication problems with drivers and logistics but overall great product great price not unwrapping til I get to my final destination next week but store said any problems to let her know ASAP and they would sort , so overall a great store to do business with , helpful , friendly , just tweak deliveries more and yr there !!! This is the second bedding store in a series of stores entered to find the right mattress. I can…read moresay that it was a pivotal point in making a decision in what we did and didn't want in a bed. As long as we stick with it I think it'll make our progress easier, just need to find the best of both our worlds, hubbies and mine. The sales assistant was the only person in the shop and she had to go from one customer to the next, think at least two staff should have been present for two reasons, customer assitance and the other security. Hubby and I sat on the first bed we noticed and it turned out to be a memory foam mattress, and as my son put it previously 'it feels like lying on a bed of marshmallows'..he's not half wrong because I imagine it would be a bit like that, he,he,he. Next was a normal sprung mattress and that didn't feel right, lastly a latex mattress which felt really good but maybe a little too soft even though it was labelled as medium density. Price wise too much, long single $1200 and as we were wanting two to make up a King Size = $2400, then we needed a base it was just too much. They make their own beds and have been manufacturing since the 1800's, being a family business which is great. But unfortunately I don't think we'll be buying from here as what we wanted cost too much but there is a good range on display and the service is very good.
