Alright now that you've experienced the lows of those terrible puns we can appropriately contrast with the highs of this excellent meal. Everything we got was made exceptionally. The beef noodles were really good. The noodles are great. I slurped them down quite quickly. They were both savory and spicy. My friend who got the shrimp pho said it was, well un-pho-gettable. The vibes, the spirit, and the soul are all there. My other friend got the sated beef with fried rice. It was a bit salty but he loved that about Vietnamese cuisine! The service was also great. The waiters were very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this to anyone interested in Vietnemise food!

Service was not overly friendly but efficient. They speak English, German and Vietnamese (maybe more but that's all I heard). We ordered the beef pho and chicken pho, and split the spring rolls which came with four small rolls. The pho was generously sized and I preferred the beef broth over the chicken broth. They automatically give you a small dipping bowl with half Sriracha and half hoisin sauce for your pho meat, which I've never seen before. Toppings (bean sprouts, herbs) came in the bowl instead of on the side as well. Flavor was not exactly what I'm used to in the US but was good enough for what we wanted. Some fish sauce on the table would have been nice, although they did have soy sauce and chili oil. My main issue was the price. 25 francs for a bowl of pho is probably reasonable for Zurich but the most expensive bowl of pho I've ever had. They also charge one franc per cup of tap water which is a bit much in my opinion. Next time I'll just bring my reusable water bottle.

Service however was fast and friendly. I don't know why they decided to already add hoisin sauce to the pho? I didn't realize it was there until I started mixing everything. I think a good pho broth is already tasty on it's own so i was sad to see my broth slowly turning more and more brown as I mix it. Also I don't know if it's to cater to the German tongue but the pho was on the sweeter side. The beef slices weren't thin enough, by the time it got to me, they were thoroughly cooked and hard to bite. The spring roll: it was awkwardly wrapped, which is fine because it the flavor that matters. There is a rather sizeable piece char siu and a whole shrimp so that was rather generous. The peanut sauce however was way too salty. I've no idea what the other dishes tastes like. My boyfriend ordered a Banh Mi and he seemed to have enjoyed his sandwich. I went in with high hopes and chose to stick to the classics, unfortunately it didn't really work out for me.
