He agreed. No problem. I showed up for the cleaning and they said they REQUIRED a full bite-wing x-ray... or 'they wouldn't know how' to clean my teeth...! When I again declined the full x-rays, they refused to proceed. At my age, I've had countless cleanings and NEVER have been treated this way. Their way... or the highway.

My mom, who has had a stroke and…read moreis in the nursing home acquired the services of Miller Dental Group Pooler, LLC to realign her dentures because she had lost significant weight which resulted in her dentures not fitting correctly. She paid $800.00 to them up front on July 25, 2025. They took 2 minutes to "realign" the dentures and then told us to follow up to determine whether or not the dentures needed to be readjusted again or new ones were needed. At the follow up appointment she informed them that they did not fit and she was unable to wear the dentures. The dentist recommended obtaining a new set of top dentures instead of trying to realign them to fit. They told us at that appointment (and two other previous occasions), that the amount previously paid to them would be applied to those new dentures. It was decided that she would come back for an appointment to get fitted for the new dentures. However, after this was decided (in the same appointment), prior to leaving, the dentist then had his staff informed us that he was not going to do anything until she consulted with a specialist first. We stated that obviously we could not afford that as all of my mom's income was income was going to the nursing home. Despite informing the staff, the dentist still refused to do anything until she went to the specialist which was going to cost close to $300.00 to just get in the door to talk to the specialist, money which we did not have. Because the dentist refused to do anything further, we asked for a refund of the monies that were previously paid as nothing was done and nothing was going to be done. We were told that someone from the practice would call us about the issue of the refund. Never received a phone call and had to contact the practice again in January, 2026, at which time, the practice informed them that they would not refund any money at all for services never rendered and dentures that she was never able to use. $800.00 for nothing! All they care about is taking your money.

This is my first time going to Habersham dental. The receptionist was pleasant when I checked in…read more The technician came and got me and she was very friendly. When she began checking my teeth she pulled out an instrument out of the drawer that had a light on it. One side of the instrument plugged into the computer. The other side of the instrument had a light on it. She went to shine the light on my Teeth for a closer look and then she proceeded to put the instrument in my mouth. I immediately jumped and asked her if she wiped the instrument off. She said yes she did. I asked her when she wiped off the instrument . She said she wiped it off when she used it the last time. The instrument she put in my mouth was stored in a drawer that looked like a junk drawer out of somebody's kitchen. They were all kinds of items in the drawer, papers and other materials. The tool she put in my mouth should've been put in a separate plastic bag and secured after it was sanitized and it was not. I told her that wasn't very sanitary and I no longer felt good about the appointment because how could she take something out of the drawer and put it in my mouth. I told her that they needed to store equipment in plastic bags alone not with a lot junk in the drawer. I asked her how she would feel about that if somebody took something and put in her mouth without properly sanitizing it.She said it's been in her mouth before too. I guess she thought that would make me feel better but it did not. It actually made me feel worse. I will not go back to that location again. (Eisenhower)

Afterward I ran my tongue around my teeth (like you do) and they did not feel clean. When the dentist came in she tried to convince me to replace my crown and whiten my teeth (the dentist 6 months earlier wanted to replace my old fillings) I did neither, my teeth are fine When I went to check out and reschedule for my next cleaning I told the receptionist that I had been scheduled for the wrong type of cleaning this visit and I want to make sue to schedule the regular cleaning on my next appointment. She looked in the computer and said that I had been put on a special treatment plan by the head hygienist and she couldn't change it. As she told it, I had been put on a periodontal plan (bad gums) and I would have to talk to the head hygienist so she could explain why I can't get a regular cleaning (even if I wanted it) At this office the "head hygienist" has the power to bully you into a service you never discussed or agreed to you are expected to go along with it because she says so. It doesn't matter what you want or what you can afford you do what SHE says. As for the dentists, they are all about the upsell. No thank you. I'm done
