The hygienist at the time Carrie throughly explained the purpose of the deep cleaning, inflammation, bone loss. Etc As someone that always gets cleanings and having what I thought was a good at home routine I was a bit overwhelmed but Carrie and Dr. Patel assured me that I could get my tissue healthy again! First the right side then a few weeks later the left side. They increased my visits to every three months and gave me a at home regimen to follow! Since then I've been able to scale back to normal! I've never had a bad experience! The team is always friendly, welcoming & kind throughout the visit! If you're looking for a dentist go see Dr. Patel!

My 13-year-old daughter has been a patient since she was two years old and I cannot believe the way things have been handled with their office over the past two or three years. I'm not sure if there's been a change in management behind the scenes, but there has been a total breakdown in communication over the past few years. Several years ago I had an issue with a miscommunication on their end about an appointment that my daughter had. With her most recent appointment we had a change of insurance. Dogwood called me two days prior to confirm the appointment. At that time, I provided them with our new insurance information and was told that they would check to confirm that her specific plan was accepted and would let me know 24 hours beforehand if it was not. Well, lo and behold today, I get a phone call informing me that her insurance plan was in fact not covering her previous visit. When IWell, low and behold today, I get a phone call, informing me that her insurance plan was in fact not covering her previous visit. When I informed the person that I spoke with on the phone of the fact that I was told that this wouldn't happen because I would get a phone call from them. She had the nerve to tell me that that was just a courtesy. In hindsight, I should have called and confirmed with our insurance, but Dogwood should've held up their end of what was communicated to me. Apparently this is an ongoing issue for them after reading through these reviews. So past issues like mine were not learning situations for dog with. They continue to tell their patients that they will check their insurance so they don't receive hefty bills and then they continue to let their patients get hefty bills. If dogwood doesn't want to accept any responsibility for this, then they shouldn't be telling their patients that they will check their insurance and call them 24 hours prior. I am so disappointed in receiving that bill and that phone call. Dogwood will not see a single scent from us for this bill. I would've stayed with Dogwood for the rest of my daughter's childhood if it was not for this incident. I absolutely love the dentist and dental hygienist, but they have lost their minds with that front staff.

I have been a loyal patient of your office for years, and I never expected to be treated this way. Life happens, and sometimes scheduling conflicts arise that require patients to make adjustments. If I had not needed to make proper arrangements, I would not have changed my appointment. Charging a long-time patient such an excessive fee for rescheduling is unreasonable, unfair, and honestly insulting considering my loyalty to your practice over the years. This experience has completely changed my opinion of your office and how patients are valued. Because of this situation, I will not be returning as a patient moving forward. In addition, I am formally requesting a refund for the remaining balance of my dental savings plan since I no longer intend to continue services with your office. Please provide confirmation regarding the processing of this refund as soon as possible. I expected much better treatment and customer service.
