My family moved to Savannah from Houston in October of 2024. I searched for providers via Yelp, Google, local Reddit boards, local FB pages, and anywhere else I could think to look. I decided on Dr. Dye for my family based on many reviews from different people on different platforms. When we were in Houston, my daughter underwent prolonged braces, extensive surgery to move and rebuild both of her jaws, and then additional braces and retainers after the surgery. The final step in this journey was for her to have nine crowns placed on her back molars. After all of my research, I chose Dr. Dye to take on this last step of her seven year journey. He was able to fit us in with her school schedule to prepare and set the temporary crowns in a single three-hour appointment. We will return to have the permanent crowns set in two weeks. My husband and I have also both seen Dr. Dye and his hygienist, Erin, for our six-month checkup and cleaning. Both were wonderful. I have Tri-Care prime and it's always been a pain finding a dentist who doesn't charge an arm and a leg for an appointment. So I was so glad when my copay was only $15 today! Plus Dr. Dye was amazing. He explained exactly what my teeth needed and how he was going to do it. Plus, they put in the request for the crown through my insurance and I'm waiting for the call where they estimate my copay charge! It has been 4 long years since I went to a dentist. I simply put it off. So I was a little nervous that they would make me feel bad for not taking better care of myself. That was not the case. His office space is absolutely lovely (points for playing contemporary music- I loved hearing Adele & Ed Sheeran while saying "aahhh"), the ladies at the front desk were quite friendly and helpful (I forgot my ins card and was able to just forward it from my phone w/ no problem) and my hygienist, Patsy, was awesome (she also had AH-MAZING teeth, no surprise that Dr. Dye is her dentist too). I didn't have a good experience. I felt he was rushed and a bit rude for the three visits I've had. He hit a nerve when numbing my tooth and two years later I still have residual pain. I didn't feel heard. And he just seems to want his schedule to run perfect, and anything other than that would illicit impatience. First visit was ok but after that it was downhill. read more

I went for a routine cleaning at another dentist office and was told I needed 4 crowns (one immediately and the others over time). The dentist's bedside manner was horrible. I seemed to be inconveniencing him and he spent NO time with me. I told a friend about it and she HIGHLY recommended her dentist, Dr. Dye. I went in and had an excellent experience.
