Hard to have any faults with the store. The owner of the store and his workers are very nice. They are welcoming and not pushy. Comic stores are meant to be dug through and they let you do just that. The stock of trades and the such is great. There is a ton of it, but it seems crammed into an area though not meant for that much stock. They have some action figures, statues and plenty of Pop Vinyls. New books are a plenty and this would be a great place for a pull list. Now you won't find any Golden Age books, not really any Silver or Bronze and they have very little key books... However they do have lots of copper age and modern books. Their back issue pricing is a little high, but that's just my opinion. Overall it's a fun store with stuff to explore, so get to it! read more

I finally made it. After a few separate trips to Savannah with my wife and having this place on my bookmark list I can say I've been here. The reason I wanted to come so bad was because of the glowing reviews I've read on Yelp. To say I was excited is an understatement. Lines like "if you can't find a back issue, they'll have it." jumped out at me and said that I needed to come here! Well, I came and I saw, and while I will certainly admit they have quite a volume of back issues and other products (ESPECIALLY VINYL POP TOYS) I didn't find one thing I needed. The place is tiny and it is stocked to the gills with merchandise and while this isn't a problem for a comic shop, this place can be REALLY hard to navigate around. Simply put there is just too much stuff in this place. The staff were two nice guys who greeted us and while not big conversationalists, they were nice dudes. This place is a good comic shop. They have very good back stock, though they didn't have what I was looking for (no biggie), prices were decent and not insulting and if you need a Pop Vinyl then come here because man, they had probably over 1,000 of those things! I'm happy I came, but the place just wasn't all that exciting or special for me. read more

I gotta with 5 out of 5 stars for this place. I came from CT to visit, met Chuck and his adorable pup. This store has is all....a killer selection of back issue. Huge collection of TPB & Graphic novel. For the Funko pop collectors....you'll definitely find something. Another great feature this shop offered......SHIPPING. Super excited!! I received my full collection of The Golden Girls Funko Pop Television. My package arrived in 2 days. All 4 boxes arrived in mint condition to New York, as I'm super critical about the box condition. When I reached out to Savannah Comics via Facebook concerning my worries about the quality of the product because it was shipping so far, I received a response within a half hour and a picture of my product bubble wrapped. Its the only comic shop it town. All the latest releases are on the shelves every Wednesday and the staff are pretty knowledgeable in all things comics. The back issues room is pretty cramped so it is kind of hard to find what you're looking for. There are also a ton of Funko Pops for sale here, so if you're into that you've found the jackpot. read more

This review is limited to the online side of this shop. I have placed two online orders in one week with Savannah Comics. Both times they took my money and sent me an e-mail confirming my order. Both times they sent me an e-mail the next day saying sorry we do not have the book, it is sold out and we will refund your payment when possible. Not we have refunded your payment but we will do so later. A few days later along comes a refund. Clearly the online ordering part of this business is BROKEN. Why take money for an item you are not sure you have? Evidently they take orders and money and THEN go look in the bins and on the shelves to see if the book is actually available. Most online retailers have an inventory system that tells the customer something is or is not in stock prior to ordering so they can do business elsewhere if they so choose. The minority of online retailers without such a system at a minimum only bill you after they confirm it is something they ACTUALLY HAVE. The Savannah Comics system seems to be our web page will tell you an item is in stock. Though they actually have no idea if it really is. We will take your money (A CONTRACT) and promise to ship the item you paid for. But they have no idea if that will actually ever happen. We will also keep the money you paid for an item we do not have until it is convenient for us to return it. If I am not sure what I am ordering will ever come why shop there? Disorganized, unreliable and essentially dishonest. ONLINE BUYER BEWARE. NOT RECOMMENDED! read more
