Date of Visit: 9.15.19 Saturday around noon…read more Parking: Ample, in a large shopping plaza Concept: Where clearance items go to die Warning: CHECK EXPIRATION DATES and check your receipt! I am looking at a nondescript $2.00 charge and I can't tie it to anything. No barcodes are used so it is all manually entered by the cashier with terms like non-food grocery, frozen food, dairy, candy. Upon entering you will get one of those old school square, flip-down grocery carts that haven't been seen since the 80s. This store holds a mishmash of random who-buys-this-stuff groceries. The store itself is pared down with no frills. Some deals seem too good to be true and this is when you REALLY need to check your dates. I picked up quite a few items and one canned item was out of date by almost a year. You will recognize some brands and others are random unknowns. You are going to come here basically to purchase canned and processed items. Some beans were 50 cents, etc. The cereal, while cheaper, is also questionable. It's September and I saw Easter-themed Peeps cereal. Unfrosted pumpkin Pop-Tarts. Cans of soda that something else had exploded on. Potato chips that are normally $3.50 for $2.50. But that sale price can be found at most stores so know your prices. Mini packs of tissues for 2 for $1.00. Brandless brand Nutella for $1 but sells for $3 on their website. Fresh produce: There is a small section with some things that are struggling to stay fresh. I did get some nice green peppers and one cucumber. Meat: Husband found some expired items I found some blueberry biscuits that I recently purchased at a regular grocery store and they were four for one dollar (no, you don't have to buy all four). I got them home only to realize they were expired by two weeks. That date did not say Best By either. There is a lot of waste with groceries and food in the world and I am not saying these things should be thrown out, but due diligence is also required here. Your receipt will only be filled with generic prices relating to the department they come from so you may want to watch as they enter prices. Bar codes are not used. If I were pressed on money I would come here. As I stated, if you know your prices you might be better off spotting sales at other standard stores. PS - no one should be buying canned vegetables and beans at dollar stores unless you are in a food desert. Canned vegetables and beans are always cheaper at grocery stores.

This is a great place if you're on a budget or just being frugal. The stock changes regularly so don't be certain you'll be able to get the same item twice. They might not have everything you need, but if somethings not available, there's plenty of places around town to get it. I recommend.
