Upon arrival, I saw one open space at the edge of the bar, so I asked the two ladies if the place was free and they said yes, so I sat down. Unfortunately, the bar tender asked me if I had been seated, and I said I asked the two ladies if the place was free and they had no objection to me seating there. Then, this F-ing prick accused me of sitting next to the two chicks to hit on them!?!. I can't even fully recount how pissed I was at his accusation! Here I am a man of 61 years who is married for 39 years, tired from an exhausting flight looking to down a beer, being accused of trolling chicks!! I wish I had gotten his name so I could call him out! And then I asked him about his knowledge of Mr. Hemingway, and he was a complete dolt! It this jerk reads my review I hope he realizes what a complete jerk he was. instead of welcoming me to this country, he insulted me!

Despite that the food was slightly above average pregaming food, where my friend and I started with drinks before moving on in Freiburg. The drinks were appropriately fruity and long. Interested in showing off, my friend ordered the DIY guacamole. The accoutrements to the guac were all fresh, but sadly the chips were stale. Also the molcajete needed to be twice as large to hold all the ingredients. We had to flag the wait staff whenever we wanted anything, like napkins.

And out came generous portions of delicious, fresh vegan versions of faijitas and quesadillas. Would have loved to try every vegetarian turned vegan dish of theirs, but even if I hadn't the time to do that I'm pretty certain everyone would be just as great as these two. Don't forget to have one of their fruit juices (nektar) - because they are generally awesome in any German restaurant - I had grapefruit juice and it was perfect. Colourful interior, very friendly service, decent prices - I'm really surprised the restaurant wasn't crowded with guests given the quality of food and this. They take both cash and cards, always a welcome plus in Germany...
