I spent my first wedding anniversary here with my husband. This week we are celebrating our 13th anniversary here in Sausalito. It is the perfect seaside small town. They have many wonderful restaurants and shops. There is a Ferry you can take into the city. You can ride a bike from the Golden Gate Bridge into Sausalito. No matter what you do here, you always have the perfect view of the ocean. There a few lovely hotels and everything is within walking distance. You can take a nice stroll right by the water and breathe in the fresh ocean air. It's a great place to escape the day to day grind of the city. It's so relaxing and laid back here. The weather is always beautiful and the views are picturesque.

While walking to the ferry terminal, one just might miss it! Nice place to browse to support local artists and the community with products made or featured locally. I purchased North Bay products from Four One Five (Sausalito soap), and North Bay Candleworks featuring an aromatic candle called Stinson Beach. Be sure to stop by and say hello to Lucy! I had the great fortune of attending Sausalito's 4th of July Parade this year. I haven't been to…read moreone of these celebrations in 30+ years. And man oh man, what a festive affair it was! It was almost like something out of a Norman Rockwell painting with the different parade floats, community leaders, and town characters. And you definitely can't beat the CAL Marching Band's performance. Loved how it was family-friendly, dog-friendly, and just so well organized. Not too many places you can go on 4th of July (or any day of the year), and chow down on $5 jumbo hot dogs. And if dogs aren't your thing, I loved how they were also serving up vegan cous cous bowls. Only in Marin, right?! Everyone had a smile on their face. This is truly a not-to-be-missed annual tradition. Thank you Sausalito Chamber of Commerce and all your hard-working volunteers for putting this event together for the community. I had a freakin' blast!
