I had always wanted to pop in to see if the owner also happened to make coffee to go. Today I did just that and was happy that I did. I still did not know what the difference was between kaffee latte, latte macchiato, and milchkaffee in Berlin. The shop owner was extremely friendly and answered my numerous questions regarding the above. He also made a GREAT latte. I'll definitely come back for a latte to go but also for nice conversation regarding coffee. I'll be adding his barista course offerings to my wish list for the year! If I made my own coffee at home, I'd also pick up a bag of the owner's roasted beans. If you have any coffee equipment needs, retail coffee and chai needs, or a niiiice coffee to go on Wuehlischstr, then make sure to stop by Kaffee Kombinat Berlin (during the limited opening hours).

Finally, I asked someone where I should look. "Media Markt!" the person said. "WIRKLICH?!" I replied in surprise. The salesperson merely nodded enthusiastically. So I went there, and what do you know? French presses galore. Naturally, I came here when I wanted an electronic hand mixer, and the brands and prices were definitely varied. Not only that, but the prices are truly competitive; this is like the German answer to Best Buy. I won't be coming here for everything, but there are a few departments in which Media Markt can't go wrong.
