My husband asked if we could go before it turns cold, so I booked a hotel in Gadsden and we had a wonderful overnight trip. Love Collinsville Trade Day flea market as there is always something for everyone. We walked to the top of the hill where the live animals are sold and made our way down and around the isles. We weren't shopping for anything in particular but got some good deals. It was a perfect cool/breezy/sunny October day which made it even better! Alabama is a lovely state! We will return and hopefully before 5 years pass! Get there early because people start packing up before noon.

This flea market is like no other. I'll do my best to describe it to you…read more It's located far up highway 11 in northeast Alabama. If the drive is less than two hours for you, it's definitely worth it. They honestly have everything from cribs to coffins. In fact, that's actually one of their catchphrases. When you pull up, don't resist the urge to turn around. Go ahead and pay the $1 to park. As you get out of your car in the grass parking lot, you'll be looking at what can only be described as a shanty town... at best. It's what you'll find in these shanties that makes this place special. Are you looking for a goat? Maybe a new shirt, some advil, a poster, a bike, a remote control car, a remote control, some jelly, a loaf of bread, chainsaw oil, a pig, or a book on how to speak pig Latin? This is your place. Make the trip to Trade Day. Just trust me.

I want to give this a 5/5 so bad but the concession stand needs help and maybe a 1-2 more workers…read more I personally just started going to the drive-in. It started as a cute date night but once we went, it just makes sense. It is $10 per person to get in compared to the big names that are charging $25+. Next , the concession stand is reasonably priced $10 for a large popcorn. The overall experience is fun because you could literally bring a whole pizza if you want to. People respect the turning off headlights policy and it's never packed out unless it is valentines day. They get the new releases and the website is always current. On my visit today they were out of Large popcorn containers... no big deal. However, the line was not efficient. For the bulk of my wait there was one person running the whole thing. Once I made it to the register, the POS went down and had to be completely rebooted. Once I was able to pay, I had to wait at LEAST 20min to get my popcorn. I missed the previews and I had to ask my husband to go back once the movie started to get the popcorn. Apparently people still waiting were getting vocally frustrated. I really enjoy the drive-in but I recommend getting there with extra time if you plan on buying snacks.

You get to see two movies one Friday at 8:30 and the other start at 10:30. The movie that played were great movies. We only made it for part of the 830 movie but our experience was to see the 1030 movie which was scream seven. It was great. I have never been to the drive-in movie theater and this experience is what I was looking forward to. They had a concession stand, but we didn't use it as we had our own food, but the vibe was amazing. Stay in your own vehicle and just put your feet up. Please turn your lights off when you go to the movie theater so we all can see the screen. I highly recommend trying this place.

I have no interest in tube socks or cheap cleaning supplies. But I do like collectibles and designer purses. There's a woman who sells high-end Italian leather. (Last time I bought a beautiful, well-made pocketbook that retails for $600 --confirmed by a Google search. I paid $30.) Another vendor has collectible 'made in Japan' figurines, for next to no money. There's an interesting fellow at the end of the Antique stall who has a mish-mash of stuff. I always buy 8 pens for a dollar, but yesterday I realized he has retro costume jewelry. Boy, did I make out: charms 3-for-a-dollar, vintage bracelets @ $1 & $2, rhinestone necklaces, fun '60s brooches, cool wrist watches, with new batteries (!) for $4. The proprietor -- who sells second-hand shoes -- has a sign hanging: if you can't afford $2 for shoes, let me know and I'll give them to you for free. Just don't steal..... This is my kind of place!

They are ran down and very nasty like as if it doesn't get cleaned. Parking is rough due to the surface all broken up. It honestly needs an update. It's been this way for 15+ years. There are some great entrepreneurs there, who have great deals and products. But!! It should be regulated more and cleaned up. Would help business so much.
