They do not open on time. They are supposed to be open at 10am, but lateness is a thing here. This is slackness. People are waiting for their legal matters. The front desk lady yells at you and has a nasty attitude and thinks everyone's situation is like hers. Don't give legal advice unless you're qualified lady! She promised a refund, but when we met her to collect it, she did not show up. Despite several attempts to contact her, including through the payment app, we never received our refund. Based off my experience and the other posts here, she has habit of not issuing services that were paid for beforehand. That's unethical and unprofessional! My experience: She requested full payment upfront for services that she stated would be completed in a few days. After payment was made and additional documents were given, I was ignored for over 4 months. I excused her initial silence for complications due to the pandemic going on around the time but then I became aware that she was retaining new clients with the same business contact info she gave me. I also became aware of the several Yelp reviews that showed experiences similar to mine. Since there was no other way of reaching her, I showed up at her office to terminate her for services not rendered and request a full refund. After making excuses for her actions and also trying to put the blame on me, she complied. I may not be a lawyer but I am a working professional so I know clients should get what they paid for. I didn't pay to get nothing and be ignored. Tips on hiring a lawyer (Based off my bad experience): - Do NOT pay a lawyer the full amount upfront - If they won't let you give partial payment, do NOT hire them - Do a LOT of research about the lawyer beforehand to see if they are trustworthy - Have a signed contract or a record of the services you are hiring them for and how much you are paying them - Keep records of payments! - If you feel a lawyer has scammed you, you can report them to the Bar association or file a compliant with the attorney general, they might be able to get your money back for services not rendered or get them disbarred.
