So I am debating if I should give a 3 or 4 stars. The major complaint is the food is too salty for us. We ordered seafood plater, garlic shrimps and blue lobster. Btw. They are not vegetarian friendly. We are traveling with my mother in law this year and she is a vegetarian. The only thing that she could have at the restaurant was the vegetable soup which I hope it was without any fish broth. There are too many great seafood restaurants in Peniche and that was the reason why this was reviewed at 3 stars rather than 4 stars. We were pleasantly surprised, both by the quality (especially of the fresh-grilled fish), amount of food and the low price. With a dish of the day at 6.50€, you would be hard-pressed to find a better deal around. It's not a fancy place and is quite easy to miss. To get there, we had to climb on the second floor and walk through a fairly narrow corridor; their wine selection was quite minimalistic and no touristy dishes -meaning no Sangria. It did not change to the fact that all of the fish and deserts we ordered were amazing and extremely filling. Overall we ended up at below 15€ per person, very happy with the food and service and planning on coming back here in the future.

It was a whole octopus grilled on a small bed of vegetables and mio - they hadn't added any more veg., just removed the mashed potato! It tasted very good and was not too chewy, so quite fresh. The wine also was very good. The bill for one main course and a bottle of wine was around €46, which also included nearly €2 for 6 olives, so is quite expensive, since they charge for bread and any 'additions'. Overall a pleasant and very good experience, but not cheap.

We had grilled wolffish, given it was their specialty and it was one of the best fish dishes we had during our stay in Peniche. Their soup we had as appetizer was also pretty darn good, along with the olives and various appetizer spreads. As the resident wine snob, I was also quite happy with their massive selection of wines and their quality, even if some were tad expensive, as well as the quality of their Sangria. If it was just up to the quality of food and drinks, it would have been a great 5-star solid restaurant. Unfortunately, there was also service - slow, almost anemic, forcing us to wait for almost an hour for the main dish to come - too much even for our mixed French-Italian group.
