I'm very surprised that there are not more reviews for this salon. I had an event to attend so it was a last minute appointment and Sara was able to accommodate me! I was set up with a stylist named Heidi and even though it was a wash and blow dry, Heidi did an amazing job. Very friendly and very sweet. I walked in feeling very hesitant but was greeted with kindness and vowed to come back. A week later I went back and had Heidi do an all over color for me and I'm easy, the darkest black you can get and did she ever deliver! My hair came out extra shiny and again was extremely pleased. I have to say their prices here are cheap here however who wants to get there hair done at a place that has bad vibes. You walk in and they all stare at you very rude no hello, welcome or anything. I got brown color shades on my hair and she also cut my dead ends, styled it and added some amazing treatments because my hair was awful and dry. Tried making an appointment with Melissa numerous times. My friend went to her before said she like her so I decided to give her a try. Well I didn't even get a chance to get my hair literally EVERY time I've called she tells me she has no availability. Doesn't offer me another time or day just rudely says she can't. I've tried scheduling an appointment with her FOUR times. Every-time she acts like I'm bothering her or she sounds uninterested. Incredibly affordable cut and color!!! Very accommodating and professional staff! It had been a year or more since I'd had a haircut because, like a lot of people, I had developed a fear of scissor happy stylists. I've been trimming and box coloring my own hair but it was time to get my damaged ends and DIY summer ombré removed by a professional. My experience was kind of up and down, but in the end I got a cut and color I absolutely love. I wanted a nice dark chocolately/espresso brown color and a cut with long layers that kept as much of my length as possible. My first visit, I was taken as a walk in with no appointment. I called and asked if anyone had an opening and Christina happily took me within 1hr of my call. She colored and cut my hair and I was done in about 2hours. When the towel came off I was a tad worried because the color looked lighter than I thought it would, but my mom warned that hair color looks different in different lighting and it needs time to oxidize so I rolled with it. As far as cut, I asked Christina if she could please cut my hair dry and straightened (since I have wavy/curly hair) so it would be easier to see how much was actually being cut off. She listened and carefully cut of my dead dried ends and gave me and amazing FACE SLIMMING long layered cut! The one road bump in my hair adventure was a couple days following my color, the Matrix Socolor 5BR brown/red color I picked BECAME BRASSY and looked ORANGE in the sun! It wasn't immediately obvious because my hair looked fine in the dim lighting of my house and at night, but during the next day in sunlight...oh man I was CARROT TOP with hot roots! I temporarily covered the hot roots with dark brown hair mascara and got through thanksgiving without anyone noticing then called Christina for help! I texted her pictures and asked for advice then she took me immediately without appointment again same day! She applied some violet/blue based toner for about an hour and VOILA! I got the amazing espresso/chocolate brunette I have now! I absolutely love it and she didn't even charge me for the color fix/touch up! I highly recommend this salon! They care about customer satisfaction and they will make sure you love your end result! My mom comes here as well and has her hair done by Leticia! Just be sure that when u get your hair colored, you are very clear about what you want, bring reference pictures, and DEFINITELY mention if you've dyed your own hair before and when so that your stylist has a heads up and can better anticipate a color reaction like hot roots or brassiness and possibly prevent it! I probably should've mentioned to her that I DIY'd my ombré and had been dying my own hair box colors (red, brown, black) all these years. Thank God Chrisitina knew just what to do! I had rescheduled my appnt twice and there was a misunderstanding coz I originally scheduled for haircut,style and haircolor but I was given just a haircut appointment. Nearly every review here are from female patrons, so here's my two cents as a guy. I generally wear my hair long, but I recently had to take the plunge and cut it much shorter than I'd prefer for a job interview....so the time had come to find a place that was somewhat local, affordable, and with enough positive reviews to gain my trust. A little google-fu later, and Sara's seemed to fit the bill. Not only were they able to take me on a Friday / Saturday (it was one or the other, I forget which), but they did so with short notice, and were able to accommodate me all the same. I arrived on time and a girl by the name of Blanka was ready for me almost immediately. I had brought a few images of what I had in mind, and she was able to come pretty damn close without having to view them more than once, which was impressive. Granted I didn't resemble what I had in mind to a tee, I had after all provided an image of an actor / model, and she did a great job all things considering, with adjustments to what I had in mind in relation to my own features. When she was done I asked if she could make it slightly shorter around my ears, and she ended up making it a bit shorter several other places as well, including the back. But the style was still consistent, which shows excellent judgement and skill, and it has since grown into the initial length prior to my adjustment request in about two weeks time. She was attentive to my requests and concerns, and I left extremely satisfied. Even better than the pricing (which is extremely reasonable and much appreciated) is the fact that I'm liking my cut even more as time goes on. I will definitely be returning to Sara's in the future and scheduling another appointment with Blanka down the line. read more

It's been about a year, and I wanted to update my review. The girl who did an amazing fix on my hair is named MELISSA TREBIZO. She is now my GO TO hair stylist. I've been back several times to see her. I'm happy with the transition of haircuts she's given me as I've been growing out my pixie cut. Strangers, I kid you not, feel a need to come running towards me at malls, supermarkets, and where ever else they see me to ask "who does your hair!?? I love it! That's EXACTLY how I want mine!". I've even began bringing her business cards since I can't remember the shop's name or phone number. Ask for Melissa, you won't be disappointed. She's done extreme colors like dramatic purples for my dark brunette hair that also transitions beautifully into an ashy blonde. Her cuts give me full volume and movement. Love her! We're do I begin? I stumbled across this hair salon because my hair stylish never got back to me. So I decided to give this place a shot. I ended up getting Melissa to help me and let me tell you she's AMAZING! I've never been in a hair salon were they actually LISTEN TO what YOU want. And that is exactly what Melissa did. Usually other hair salons will listen to you but will end up doing whatever they want, like cutting to much of your hair off when you tell them just a trim. Melissa actually listen to the look I was going for, thin highlights with a base color & haircut not to short. I've gotten highlights before at other hair salons but they've all been a nightmare. But not this time, I was so happy with the results! I was in there for about 4 hours but honestly it didn't even feel like it. She was also very friendly, asking me about my life & what I like to do etc. she doesn't just sit their and stay quiet. She builds a relationship with her clients which I love. I'm more than happy that I found this hair salon and more happy that I found Melissa, and she listens to her clients! Usually if I don't know what look will look better I'll ask the hair stylus and they always tell me what they think but when I asked Melissa she told me "I can't tell you because it's what you want & we all have different taste" & it's true. She didn't pressure or force anything on me that I didn't want. She was all ears. And the price is so affordable! What I paid here was less than what I paid when I went to another hair salons for just color, and take into consideration I did color highlights & haircut here. I was looking for a place that would be able to take care of what I wanted...a nice cut and highlights. Blanca delivered that and then some... She was sweet and attentive to my needs, in what I wanted done. She listened... I truly love the way she styled my hair... I will forever be a loyal client at Sara's and would be referring my friends and family to them....
