About a year ago, I had a pretty cruddy customer service experience with another party rental…read morecompany in the Greater Portland area, so I made a vow to try A Plus Party Rentals for my next big shindig. Pros: + I needed round, high-top, cocktail tables. At the other party rental place: $40. At A Plus Party Rental? $8. I KID YOU NOT. I don't understand this at all, but it's magical and I'll take it. Segue... + Generally speaking, their prices are always a bit cheaper than the other big party rental place in South Portland. Did I ever tell you the one about the $40 high-top cocktails? No? See above. + They had all the items I needed when I showed up. At the other party rental place, they hemmed and hawed with me about what I needed and when I needed it by. + Even though they weren't supposed to (and I hope this doesn't get them in trouble), the two young men in the "warehouse" area loaded all of our equipment in and out of our U-Haul. To sit back and watch them load made me feel like a princess... I did ask multiple times if I could help, and they very politely told me I didn't have to. They were respectful, they were responsible, and they were thoughtful - asked questions about what we were doing before the event, remembered who we were and asked about our event when we went to return everything, and even helped us clean the U-Haul after (knowing U-Haul fines for any piece of litter left in the bed or cab). + Every person I encountered - from the young men, to the woman in the office, to the man with the delivery truck (who I think was the owner) - was a rockstar at customer service. Accommodating, efficient, timely... I so appreciated being treated like a customer here, while at the other party rental place I was made to feel like a joke. Thank you, A Plus Party Rentals, for treating me like a human regardless of the size of my order! Cons: - For the life of her, the woman I was speaking to when I called could not understand me despite spelling everything out multiple times very slowly; as such my name and address were completely wrong when I got my receipt which I had to call a second and third time to have sent to me when they didn't send it the first and second time I called asking for it. - They are located REALLY off the beaten path. If you're throwing a party in Portland proper, it's quite the extra effort to get the stuff from A Plus Party Rentals and bring it back into town. All in all, these folks are worth your time if you like being treated with respect and saving money. Two things I know I appreciate always!

When we first began planning our wedding, photography was one of our top priorities. We knew that…read morethough many cherished memories would be made on our wedding day, photographs were what would capture those memories and moments and hold them for many years to come. It was with that in mind that we began our search. I stumbled across Bethany and Dan pretty early on. From the second I skimmed through their website I was wowed and felt I didn't need to search any further. I reached out to them and we promptly set up a teleconference. Their work had already sold me, but getting to chat with them and get a feel for their personalities sealed the deal. From the initial planning stages through our wedding day Bethany and Dan stayed in contact, whether through email or by mail. It's very apparent that they value their clients and that thought goes into every little thing that they do. They were always available to answer any questions we had or address any issue that came up. By the time our wedding day arrived we couldn't wait to meet them! Bethany and Dan arrived on sight on our wedding day, and my husband and I both felt like it was meeting an old friend. They were both warm and inviting and had the type of personality that put even the most nervous of people (both of us that day!) at ease. They were an absolute joy to work with. You can tell they adore their clients, their craft, and one another. We had so much fun with them! Not only did we enjoy their presence, but our families did as well. I could hardly wait for the photos to arrive and was that bride that checked her email daily even though I knew it would weeks before anything came through. When they did, I was floored. These photographs that captured on our wedding day were beyond anything I could have ever imagined or hoped for. I cried with joy as I relived those special moments, looking through he gallery. THEY. ARE. STUNNING. I cannot begin to guess how many times I've looked through them. With our gallery, were able to go through and select favorites, but I couldn't. Each and every photo is my favorite for one reason or another. Not only are we extremely happy with the photographs we received, we've also received countless compliments on our wedding photos from friends and family. I simply cannot say enough about these two. They're absolutely fantastic!

After meeting with them over the phone, we knew they were a good fit for us. Though they had to travel for our wedding, they were incredibly punctual (in fact, a bit early). Bethany and Dan worked incredibly well together, with each throwing out different ideas, splitting us up for individual pictures, and both making sure our time was used efficiently. Dan made us feel extra special in finding and scouting out ahead of time a new place where we were able to take photos just outside of Acadia National Park near Bar Harbor. We were very happy with our "sneak peek" photos and are so excited to see the rest of them!

We had a tent for our catered meal, dancing in the barn and our ceremony was in the field. Stacy was helpful and reassuring the whole time. She gave us names of local venders, caterers (we used Lori Gross Kinkade who went above and beyond!). She used all the pictures and flowers I told her I loved in such beautiful, creative and organic arrangements.
