I hired Robert Akers to do a business head shot. Although I have never done a review good or bad for anyone my experience was so horrible I could not let it go untold. On the date of our shoot I followed directions found off his website which took me to his home not place of business. Either way I showed up before he did as he was 15 minutes late. When entering the building which was a private home converted into his studio I went into the bathroom. There I found no shade or curtain in front of the toilet on a window overlooking windows of another home. There was also no soap, towel or toilet paper. Pretty filthy as well. After that I explained to him that I had, under his direction sent an e-mail with headshots that I was fond off. He had not read his e-mail and basically ignored my thoughts. I was rushed through the shoot and had asked to change my lip color and he said "no, it is fine". The pics he took were only visible to me on the tiny little screen on his camera. I was rushed through the shoot and finally picked what I thought was an okay picture. After receiving the pic via e-mail the next day he had cut half my hair out of the picture, there were tooth fillings that were not seen on the tiny camera screen and my lips were not what I wanted. This picture was worse than any selfie I have done. I notified him that my experience was not a good one and that I was under a time constraint and wanted my money back. He state that he would re-do the pic but it was his policy not to return money. This policy was certainly not told to me! And, based on the whole experience the right thing to do would be to return my money. He was blatantly unprofessional, had creepy and sub-par facilities, did not deliver what I wanted at all. Normally, I am a very easy going person and never complain but this time I got totally ripped off. Do NOT hire this man. There are many excellent photographers out there who will go the extra mile to provide a pic that is so much better than a selfie. Mr. Akers, you owe me!!!! read more
