She helped us find exactly what we wanted and walked us through the entire process. When we relocated to Tennessee, she did an incredible job making our house look amazing in pictures and selling it quickly. Our agent that we used was, Betsy Powell! If you are a first time home buyer, or just looking for a…read morenew home then I highly recommend using Betsy. Her knowledge of the Lexington area paired with her expertise of the process was unmatched. We were first time home buyers and Betsy took the time to review the entire process with us before we started looking, so we knew exactly what to expect while we were looking and if we decided to make an offer on a home. We ended up putting in an offer on the third home we looked at, Betsy guided us through the process of making an offer and made recommendations that landed us our first home!! After all that was settled, Betsy had list of people to call for different things that were ready to go. I just had to call and get estimates (such a relief!). At the inspection, Betsy was there with us to go over anything and help us ask the right questions. Throughout the entire process, Betsy was there to answer any questions (and I had a lot) and relieve any stress that I had. She was very responsive and responded in a timely manner. We did a final walk through of the home together and noticed something that wasn't there before, Betsy handled it ASAP and it was fixed before we closed! All in all, she was excellent to work with and I will use her if we ever decide to leave this house! Buying a home during a pandemic was stressful on its own, but Betsy made it as stress free and easy on us as possible.

I found Ed to be a very likeable and eager to please real estate agent…read more Pros: He did very well to make himself available to us both as his perspective and current clients. While we were searching four our home there was not a single time that he did not either answer his phone or call back within 10 mins. Some other agents we called took hours to days to return our calls. Furthermore, Ed was also very flexible in setting up times to view homes. We were a little bit tricky in that my wife and I work different shifts. Ed was never pushy about getting us to buy a house during showings. There were no mind games. He would show my wife and I a house and then he would fall to the background yet be ready to answer any questions while we explored the house. He provided my wife and I a comfortable environment in which we could make thoughtful assessments about a given home. Lastly, Ed was awesome when it came time to negotiate. I let him know what my max offer would be and then he negotiated to help me get my house for less. Cons: None that I can think of currently. We had a very smooth and enjoyable home buying experience. Summary: I highly recommend Ed Sarfo as a real estate agent! He is knowledgeable, kind, eager, makes himself available to you, and he is excellent at negotiations.

I cannot express enough that Josh Miller with Rector Hayden realty is a wonderful realtor!…read more TLDR: He completely  changed my perspective on the home buying process as a first time home buyer. He got us an amazing deal way faster and smoother than we ever could have imagined possible!  Josh Miller with Hector Rayden Realty really worked to build a working relationship so he could prioritize what was most important to us. That initial ground work, plus some luck, means we are finishing this process in under 2 months with a home we are confident is exactly what we need right now.  He cares about making sure queer people feel comfortable coming to him with their business. We found him on www.gayrealestate.com and from day one he made sure we both felt safe talking with him. When I wanted to swing by and take a second look at the house we would eventually buy, he made sure we got to see the house as soon as possible. Furthermore, when he couldn't attend the short notice showing, he paired us with another gay realtor he knew would make us feel comfortable. When I was expressing stress and confusion due to my loan officer not being able to answer in terms I could understand, he gave me his honest opinions and offered to help interpret some of what I was confused about. When I decided to suddenly switch banks even though we were already under contract with our home, Josh quickly found two great banks with specific lenders that would teach me what I wasn't understanding. And they both had better offers than I found on my own. He made sure I didn't feel badly about needing to switch lenders, and helped the transition go more smoothly. He similarly connected us with a myriad of inspectors and repair experts in the area that gave us reasonable and helpful quotes.  We found a great home within a dozen showings that fulfills all of our wishes for our first home, and then some. It is under budget and in a neighborhood I not only feel safe in, but is a neighborhood I've lived in before, which I never thought I could afford as a single adult.  I know it sounds too good to be true, and I am still trying to believe that it's real, but Josh Miller really did solve all of our home buying worries!
